You need to time it correctly and pay attention. If they 'don't do anything' it's most likely because there's a power orb you haven't destroyed.

An easy way to tell if he's targetable (and thus, vulnerable) is if the Ancient Magic finisher prompt is over his head.

personally i love the game, i love the variety of genres it covers, the exploration (and flying on my broom is the best part!), i love the characters and the side quests, i love learning more about the wizarding world, the late 19th century goblin rebellions, hogwarts life from about a century prior to Harry's time

i love engaging myself in that world, making a difference on the people in it, creating my own character to interact in different situations, building relationships and getting over attached to my animals

i love being able to do all this without interfering with Potter's plot, that's what i like most

i came to this server to discuss the game's features with admiration and respect, not to see others trolling and being here for the purpose of complaining

and, i mean, im not a gamer expert, i dont even know what terms like "MMo" mean, but im not judging the game on what it was 'meant to be' but on what it IS and enjoying what it is until we get more incredible stuff added

It's a great game. I have played various video games, but Hogwarts Legacy is my all time favorite fantasy role playing game. For farming sim games my favorite is Garden Paws. In Hogwarts Legacy, you do not need a player's guide to play the game like other role-playing games such as Skyrim or Eldern Ring. The player guide for those guides are over 500 pages. Hogwarts Legacy builds their guide into the game without it being intrusive to the game play.

You’ll need to do the quest if you’re looking to 100% the game and get the relevant achievements like “The Good Samaritan” and “Savvy Spender”, “A Forte for Achievement”

These all require you to complete all side quests to accomplish, which includes the Daedalian keys side quest.

By default, the Unforgivable Curses, Crucio and Imperio will give a cursed status, but there are other perks you can get that will apply the cursed status by additional means like stupefy, Expeliarmus, flippendo and Arresto Momentum iirc

Disarm them as the embers are starting to appear around your feet, but before the cyclone rises proper. That'll make it backfire and they'll roast themselves instead
