i wouldn't say i'm a hardcore fan. i've read all 7 books a couple of times, and i have a copy of the tales of beedle the bard, but i have very little in the way of hp merch, and i haven't played most of the games. i gave up on hogwarts mystery pretty quickly. i think i've played one or two of the console games, but that's it. i'd still try to get 100% on every house here, so that i can justify the money i spent on it. for me, it's in part how many hours of entertainment i can get out of every dollar spent.

The game looks a little lack luster if you ask me 🤷‍♀️ I would've liked more of a in depth story on the op character we play. We just kinda start in the middle. I personally would've like to start at the same ages the original characters started. Idk, I feel like it would've been more immersive.

I'd have to go back in the story and see what the history of the goblins are in the wozarding world, but if I remember correctly. They're treated a lot like the magical creatures in the dark forest. And if you remember how the magical creature are treated, it wasn't very good.

It's my belief that the goblins turned 'bad' because they aren't respected and treated like wizards are.

Just had to rewatch the same long cutscene for the 4th time because every time something comes inbetween (phonecall, door bell, baby crying). Why is there no pause-mode as in every single game that has been developed within the last 30 years?

The devs cannot seriously have "forgotten" the pause-mode, is there any information about why they intentionally enforce the not-pausable cutscenes and force the players to fully bandon their real-life in that time? This just doesn't make any sense to me

I’m not going to lie. One of the cutscenes my game continuously crashed (I play on PS5) halfway through the 5 minute cutscene, about 20 crashes and 20 reloads later, I stopped for like a week.

that's with a completely different character and voice. You can also watch full gameplays on youtube. When you are immersed in the game and just need to pause for 1 minute because some delivery guys is knocking on your door, you need to quickly remember to press ALT-F4 to hard-quit the game. Because you cannot pause and if your forget to quit, open the door, and come back, the cutscene maybe has already ended and you never watch it again, because the autosafe has safed after the cutscene has ended.
The whole concept of not allowing a cutscene to pause is against UX. Disallowing the user to skip a cutscene is one thing, because maybe you see this scene as essential and want to prevent the user from accidentially missing something very important. But not allowing to pause doesn't make any sense, I think we can agree on that.

I don't mind a different character and voice, but if you do mind, that is your decision. Personally, what I really don't like is when cutscenes can easily be accidentally skipped. It never got to be a big issue for me, but it has been an issue from time to time.

From what I've seen, there are plenty of games that don't let you pause cutscenes. I haven't seen that ability in games until relatively recently. It seems to still be uncommon. Maybe it should be more common, but it is what it is. Sorry you had so much difficulty seeing the cutscene you wanted to see.

I 100%'ed the game around 40 hours I think. The other 52 hours on that specific save is me going around and doing things like eating all the apples and snack bowl snacks in every house

I've found aconite in game, and 2 spots where someone seemingly mistakenly used the model for aconite and colored slightly different to match the other flowers they placed down along the ground

I'd seriously love to be able to sit in the great hall and eat some noms at this point, enjoy the crackling fires etc sitting in a chair in the common room.

If you do the sorting hat quiz truly honestly, it's hard to get anything other than ravenclaw. The other choices sound like caricatures of the values intended, and no rational person would choose them when answering honestly. And many of us choose the house we get sorted into by the sorting quiz.

but i like having accio and decendo in the same layout
the slice spell (forgot it´s name heh) is also good to always have.
of course the unforgivables in some of those slots
also expelliarmus is very useful if you have the skill to throw their weapons at them.
and the transfiguration spell with the explosive barrel skill

defintely get all the spell layouts, getting the highest wiggenweld potion effect really helps in battle, mastering your favourite spells too. Sprinting whilst in the disollutionment charm is a great bonus. Petrificus totalus mastery helps when sneaking up on multiple enemies. And the levioso and accio being able to work on multiple enemies is great too

i did the trick since i like my voice acting in english lol.
just unfortunate that the pre-rendered isadora cutscenes still were in german.
all you have to do is if you have it on steam for example.
set it in the steam properties to a language that doesn´t have a own dub, and then hex edit the executable.
and change the country code of that language to german.

like simplified chinese.
and then hex editing the "zh_CN" in the .exe to de_DE

once i bought the game right after release, i played it 3 days straight(with a few breaks for ameal, short sleep...) and i managed to finish all MAIN quests in 35 hours of playing the game

How do I aquire combat plants then?

You can grow almost any plant except for horklumps and leaping toadstools, which must be foraged. You can purchase combat plant seeds from Dogweed & Deathcap. Mandrakes can be grown in any size pot. Chinese chomping cabbages must be grown in medium or large pots. Venomous tentaculas must be grown in large pots.

You can also purchase the plants themselves from Dogweed & Deathcap, or certain vendors you find throughout the highlands.

I do recommend you stock up on Potions, attack the incoming attack by using a Purple or Yellow spell that corresponds with the enemy's attack colour

Also when the boss does it's wave attack, dodge away from it's radius. Blocking is useless

Guys an advice to whole people who suffers from Memory stupid bug got the solution for you all you have to do is , go to Edit power plan in the windows search bar then click on it then click on power options , then press on power saver which will prevent ur cpu to use that much of its power and when the game launches u can bring it back to balance and then u can play normally , its sometimes a cpu problem like me having it atm idk why but this worked for me 100% no videos and changes needed.

With the final upgrade, you can most of the time just hold the boost button and it won't drain.
Not sure what triggers that.
