Diablo 4 runs significantly better on PC than Hogwarts Legacy however I haven’t tried Hogwarts Legacy on PC in quite some time. I just played it on PS5 instead since it ran better there.

The only issue I run into with Diablo 4 is the random lag I have in the open world when encountering other players.

I've got 8gb of ram instead of the recommended 16 and the game is running quite well for me. There is only slight frame drops every now and then. Most of the time its either when I'm speeding on a broom or if there's too many enemies that I'm in combat with, everything works great though

So I bought Hogwarts Legacy, loving every single second of it but I’ve hit a small snag. It’s my own problem and people will probably call me a wuss for it but meh. Basically I don’t like spiders in any shape or form and this game appears to be full of them (sadly) I know about Arachnophobia mode (amazing addition to the game) but I’m still freaked out about coming across spiders in game. I was hoping Arachnophobia mode would remove them, not make them look funny. Plus I didn’t realise spiders would just be out in the open in random woods, I thought you’d only come across them in caves. Do they only appear in the woods at night or are they during the day too ??
Anyway sorry for the long post.

Might I suggest maybe playing some of your favorite playlists when you're going to be in forests/caves to maybe mask the noises they make? I don't know if it would ruin the immersion for you by playing external music but it might help endure the spiders if it's just loud enough to cover their sounds & provide some comfort when you do have to fight them.

Not a bad plan tbf, I’m going to see what it’s like normally first, I might of just had a bad first encounter. I wish they went the same route as Star Wars Jedi Survivor though. Their version of Arachnophobia mode completely removed spiders from the game (which I assumed was the norm with all games that have this mode) but I guess doing that would have been difficult for Hogwarts, considering how common they are in the game.

The only games I play that I’m aware of having the mode are Hogwarts Legacy and Grounded. Grounded makes them into big textureless blobs and they said on an Avalanche livestream this arachnophobia mode was designed “lore friendly” and references the time Ron used Riddikulus on a spider and it got skates. Both games have them as a prominent mob so I’m guessing that’s why they opt for an alternative rather than a removal.

Regardless I hope you’re able to enjoy the game! It’s such an adventure.

I recently played a quest where I was going through a cave tunnel and all of a sudden I was stuck into the wall unable to move. Had to restart the game to fix it, luckily the game saved it just before that happened but it was annoying

My advice and take it with a pinch of salt but my advice would be, stop playing the game until they release the next patch and then return to the game to see if it’s been fixed. No need to be annoyed about it now “if” the devs are aware of the issue then they must be working on fixing it. The time to get annoyed will be when they release the next patch and they still haven’t fixed your problem lol

Yeah, go for it! Completing the first handful of quests provides you with e.g. a broom and other useful things, which make the exploring more easy and fun. But basically you can just run around the castle, grounds, villages, forests and so on and not pick a quest until you feel like it.

I might play for hours at some point without doing a single quests, just wandering around 😄

Most of the game is exploring, but there is a good amount of combat, especially during certain parts of the story

And the combat/fighting isn't exactly exhausting in my opinion, it's well balanced.

It's the same for every device.
In it you have a library with every game you purchased.
That's are playable on pc and steam deck.

Like.. If you purchased Hogwarts Legacy on Steam, then you can play it on the Steam Deck or/and PC.

That's why people tend to buy it instead of a switch. Because they can play the same games they have on pc on that console.
