We're completely unable to launch Hogwarts Legacy. Used to be able to play it perfectly fine, but now it just keeps crashing after the seizure warning. Tried verifying integrity, adding UpScaleMode=NVIDIA_NIS and blsUpscaleModeModified=True to the GamerUserSettings file. Both had no effect. Obviously also tried updating the gpu drivers. with no effect Anyone an idea on how to solve this?

The game just feels plain tbf, like the combat is good I guess but the missions are the same

the dialogue is very simple (and don't you hate it when your character says something completely different than the reply you picked?), there are no real consequences to your actions except for maybe one quest but that's also like okay so what.
there are usually two dialogue choices and with side quests you dont even have to go through all of the options you can just take the quest. idk if you've played fallout 3 or mass effect and the like but those have amazing dialogue (also you can talk to any npc in those unlike hogwart legacy).
so it's not even a classic rpg, it's more of an action rpg. there are rpg elements, but you can't create a unique character, leveling up is very dumbed down compared to classic RPGs (you can "distribute" 1 talent point per level, as opposed to distributing multiple skill and attribute points). it's "open world", but it's also just very one track.
i think it would be nice if it was more like an rpg where we can create characters with more unique skills and personalities and a morality system would be cool and also student activities (going to class, doing homework, etc) and not forced to being a poacher, but oh well.

yes i think the main story in general is not strong, but the game looks beautiful, like the vegetation, water and castle looks amazing, so the overall feel is great. and flying feels good now that they fixed it. for me it was worth playing.
i wish there was bigger focus on student life though cause the game does feel a little empty

and it's always annoying to see when dataminers show how much cool stuff was cut from games lol

like there was gonna be a house point system which is basically like a morality system so that wouldve been really cool

i think there's lots of things to do besides the main quest. the side / relationship quests are smaller tasks and a lot of them are pretty fun. you could do treasure vaults, merlin trials or ancient magic hotspots. basically just go through the map.

you could get a lot of challenges done this way

which would give you cool outfits

btw i skipped most of the dialogue lol, cause the story is not that amazing and the marker shows you where to go anyways

Man, legit all of my collection log on the map is bugged and glitched out on my save file (ps4). Upper hogsfield shows as:

But I've collected everything there, the chests are open, the demiguise is gone. Yet none of this is registered by my map log
And that's just 1 example

Wondering what the game is like on PC

There are some quirks, but overall I can play it very smoothly with 16GB of RAM on low graphics.

I would say 16 GB of RAM is a requirement. I used to play the game with 8 GB RAM, and it was almost unplayable but I managed to finish the main story. Now I have upgraded my PC to 16 GB RAM and it's like night and day for me.
