Yeah, none of it makes sense, even if there was a fee. Only thing that does is they're worried that Epic doesn't support the same kind of features that Steam would, this being preloading and possibly midnight release. Apparently Epic did a midnight release for Borderlands 3, but it was all manually handled. It wasn't an integrated feature into the store client like it is with Steam.

You have to be careful with the power connector. If you don’t seat it properly or there is any pressure on it, it will melt the pins and destroy your GPU, maybe even your PC
