If I buy the collector's edition for pc, do I need to wait for the physical package so I can play the game? Or i'll get a code and then the rest of the physical stuff?
I want to pre-order the collectors edition but, since i don't live in the us it will take like 1-2 weeks for me to get the amazon package

How do you think harry would've killed voldemort if the elder wand didn't answer to harry?

Well during the last fight between them voldemort was still more powerful then harry even when the elder wand was rejecting cause his pet snake was still alive, it wasn’t until nevil killed the snake that voldemort was weakened to the point where he couldn’t keep fighting with hair and the wand and harry could sense it since there was a lingering effect of Voldemort in side of him so harry knew that he was weaken, so on the assumption that if the elder wand accepted harry potter then Harry would’ve lost that fight now who would beat the dark lord i don’t know cause theirs a bunch of people who could do it since he’s tired and exhausted from fighting harry and losing 3-4 pieces of his soul in one day my best guess would probably be professor mcgonagall would step in and save harry since she’s looked after him since the first book so i can definitely see her stepping in but yea Voldemort would’ve still lost. Now if nevil didn’t kill the snake then who would’ve beaten everyone with out a doubt

depends what you mean by "a lot of people". i'd say he could've managed without Neville, without Luna, but not for example without Dumbledore or Slughorn.

Hermione was quite intrinsic to the story in many different layers. in book 1, Ron would've died to the Devil's snare without her. then again, she also wouldn't have given them the spell to open the door to the 3rd floor corridor, so i guess that whole business would've been skipped, and Ron and Harry would've survived but Voldemort would've stayed on Quirrel's head. They wouldn't have found the philosopher's stone.

Quirrel would still step down from the role of DADA teacher for some reason because the position was still jinxed. but Hermione was the one who came up with the idea to brew the Polyjuice potion, which means that Harry would've found it at some other stage in the school year. he wouldn't have not found it because the book wanted to be found by him. she was also the one who figured out that the monster in the chamber was a snake and that it used the pipes to get around. the finding of this information on its own didn't really prove all to useful because, how directly prepared to fight a 50 foot snake did they enter that Chamber? buuuuut, here's another thing.. the peace and quiet in that particular bathroom was the reason why Hermione wanted to brew that potion there, and from that point on, became sort of their 'hang out' place. without Hermione, the boys obviously wouldn't venture into that girls' bathroom, so i'd say that Harry wouldn't have found the entrance to the chamber if Hermione weren't around. or maybe he would've in a different way? because tom Riddle's diary did lure the boys in there with Ginny's imminent death. i guess Riddle would've simply given Harry more clues.

hmmm but here's another thing... in that second school year, with Quirrel still alive and Voldemort presumably still on the back of his head, perhaps he would've gone after Riddle's diary? although that doesn't seem so useful in and of itself 🤔

i suppose it would've been much easier for Voldemort to reopen the Chamber and get a mudblood (or any other student really) to sacrifice and come back to life, this time in his 16 year old self's body

and he wouldn't have needed to use Harry's blood to come back to life in this way, but then again, he didn't in the goblet of fire either... he did that solely so he'd be able to touch (and therefore kill) him

in short, @true juniper, Hermione's inexistence would lead to a very, very different story altogether. none of the events of the books past 1 and 2 would even remotely resemble the events we saw. perhaps someone with great writing talent and a lot of time on their hands could write a few fan books of this storyline and i'd be happy to read those if so

and Snape not existing is not really a scenario that's worth exploring imo. Snape's love for Lily is a component so core to the story that the entire existence of the Harry Potter series would be impossible to write without him.

but i'll humour you anyway because frankly it's also quite interesting. first the necessary backstory to understand the impossibility:
Trelawny made the prophecy that spoke of a "Boy who Lived" to Dumbledore in a pub. this conversation was overheard by Snape, who was still on Voldemort's side at this time, and promptly went to report it to his Lord. He didn't hear the whole story though, as his eavesdropping was interrupted by someone. Voldemort decided that the prophecy could apply to two different pregnant women: Lily Evans, and Neville's mum. Voldemort decided to go after Lily because she is a muggleborn and her husband is a pureblood, thus rendering the baby a half-blood, like Voldemort himself. Snape was still in love with Lily and begged Voldemort to spare her. Voldemort couldn't understand his request, but out of respect for Snape, obliged. This ultimately led to Voldemort giving Lily a chance to step aside and let him kill the baby, which she refused. this refusal, followed by Voldemort killing Lily, triggered Lily's loving sacrificial protection which made Voldemort's killing curse on harry rebound and destroy his body.

so yes, removing Snape from the story would result in Trelawny simply never producing the prophecy to Dumbledore (who was actually interviewing for a job at Hogwarts as the Divination teacher at the time, if you were wondering), because Snape overhearing that prophecy is a core component of its coming true.

I'm super confused how it could cost 10k to go to NYC, if you have the worst car on gas you would spend $600 on gas round trip if you live in Cali, hotels that are expensive would be $500USD/night so if you went to NYC for 1 week stayed in luxury hotels ($3500) paid for gas ($600) and ate at the best restos there are and shopped like crazy then yes 10k maybe if you tried to spend a fortune
