I'm not pretending anything about any revenue metric. You mentioned Steam tax, I said it doesn't matter as every single publisher is aware of that tax and conciously keeps publishing product through Steam. This is the most hyped game (even a bit overhyped by commuity) with even overpriced Collectors Edition being nearly sold out the very first day of pre-purchase option start. They already made revenue, now what matters is what they'll deliver. With good reviews from community followed by good sales the sequel will be just matter of time.

I mentioned that Steam takes a cut, which is bigger than Epics. If this person is unsure about whether to go steam or epic then it seems like they don't really lean one way or another. Thus the fact that steam takes 30% rather than epic which takes 12% might actually be useful information on making that choice. Just because others have already spent their money doesn't mean that this person can't decide where they want their money to go...

Steam changed policy and reduce cut to 25% then 20%, it all depends from revenue of the product which HL in this case will easly generate in just pre-orders. Epic is pretending to be saviour of so poor developers and publishers but it should be reminded loud that their platform design is simply bad, their servers are nowhere close to be competitive with Steam infrastructure, for the long time they never even had 2FA authentication and they let accounts database to leak few times with passwords being kept in plain text until they finally got their mess together and started to fix that leaking platform. I wouldn't trust Epic Games privacy policy especially in case of payments security.

I'm not saying Epic is perfect, and I never have. It had a rocky launch because it wasn't intended to be what it became. I had the Epic launcher years before it was ever a store. And I've seen it grow and become a much better version of itself. Just like steam wasn't that great when it first launched either.
And that is neat, I hadn't heard about the decreased cut beyond a certain revenue for steam, and that's cool. Also worth noting that Epic will also take a 5% cut of all steam sales since they are using Unreal Engine. And that 5% is also baked into the 12% if they sell on the Epic Store. (I believe. Might be only for Epic Store Exclusives)

Epic isn't bad these days, and it will only get better.

The queen was an extremely inspirational part of up to 13 different countries lives, she was the 1 woman who inspired millions, people will still be inspire by her every day, there are people who are lucky to be able to see 2 monarchs, but that is nothing to brag about, please be respectful and polite towards her ( Thats just cruel not to.) She was an extremely polite queen and did so much for the british and 12 other countries, I feel lucky to have met here in real life as now no one has the opportunity to, its safe to say "London bridge has fallen after 76 years", Queen, you will be missed forever.
