Just to clear up what I had said that was on here earlier, I just messaged my uncle. He said depending on what time of day it was, the beams of light would hit different parts of his camera obscura and he could code messages by putting book pages on the wall. He used to make them during wartime to keep intel away from enemy forces

Literally the reason why I am in college for computer science now, I see why the uncle poking a hole in the wall is odd
