I didn't make the floo companion mod, but I did make some of the NPC outfits that can appear in it if they're downloaded. The overhauled spell loadouts that I did lies in the Wicked Witches & Wicked Wizards mods. I plan on speeding up the NPC firing speed since the delay between their shots is a bit too long.

Question: Whenever I got somewhere outside, I keep getting framedrops. This shouldn't happen at 1080p60 (I play on a TV, not a gaming monitor). 1080p60 should be easily achievable with no framedrops on this game. I've been reading about it, some say there is no fix, some say there is. Others say its poor optimization. But even still, 1080p60 stable should be easily achievable. I don't know why this is happening. But it shouldn't. I'm running a Ryzen 5950X, 64TB RAM (DDR4-3600), and a 4080S (16GB VRAM). Game loads off a PCIE-4 SSD. Anyone know of a real fix for this? Or is the game just..... really poorly optimized????

Hogsmeade, especially at night, is notorious for eating the memory on PCs. I get that on both my laptop & the desktop despite having the space for it to not do that. You have to tinker with your settings on in the game on the PC & make sure the PC itself is set for best gaming experience. Before firing up the game, always make sure that the OS has no pending updates & everything else, which includes Steam or Epic, is updated. Sometimes turning down the settings in-game from Ultra mode puts an end to the framedrop problem, but it's not an "all PC fix" either.

Right, but I never pushed even close to maxing out my memory or my VRAM. I have no updates. Everything is up to date. I have it on gamepass, not steam/epic. I just don't see how 1080p60 stable isnt achievable. Makes no sense

The game wasn't optimized for the PCs like it was for the game consoles, so tinkering with the PC settings & game settings is what has to be done. IDK if any of the mod authors have ported over the optimizing mods to CF, but it's worth a look. The kit does have limits to what we can do, but if one can be made in the kit, it'd be worth downloading & learning to make.

Guys about the mod, i had a problem with the trials, the room didnt spin like It had tò do tò complete them, if u have the same problem the resolution might be if u have the deathly allows mod installed disinstall It complitely, then make 3 savings without It, close n reopen the game, it worked for me

Hello. I am trying to get my wife’s copy of the game to work. Whenever we do the floo travel the game crashes. And we get the unsupported mods crash menu. No installed mods. 32 gb ram and 2070 so it shouldn’t be hardware issue

I verified the files and they came back clean. Just uninstalled the game and am reinstalling

Deleted any files related to mods. It’s listed as an “unmodded” game file

Whether those OG authors are still active in that server in particular, IDK. A bunch of us moved to the Curseforge ones though.

To replace an NPC with an MC? It’s not hard for some people to do. I can tell you one in particular that has done NPC replacements though, find the mod author Silver Stardust. She’s done that in particular. I’m learning the NPC tables & replacing outfits myself.

The floo companion mod allows you to have anybody as a companion, which I use the most. There's a ton of NPC outfit mods, but as far as having the 40 main named student NPCs all done? Few have mods that do all of them, but between my Wicked Witches & Wicked Wizards mods, those are done entirely.

Hey everyone. I'm trying to build my first mod, and I need my blueprint to pull a list of all the CharacterIDs, but I don't know the actual name of the database, so the blueprint not "Get Data From Table(s)" always throws a "Database validation failed" error and returns nothing.

Does anyone know what the name of the database is that has the CharacterDefinition table in it? I have tried variations on "STATIC_DB", "PhoenixShipData", "main", etc. all with the same error. Do I need to do something before the blueprint can access the DB?

Sometimes mods do get corrupted in the cooker or due to a game update, so it's always best to get a fresh install of the mods you love every so often & have them backed up somewhere safe, like a USB drive.

i did some online digging and found one of the solutions that helped someone; create a new character, load into the game, then click on "Restart from last save", load in, exit out of the game and try to load into your main story character again and see if it works.

I have both the Epic Games version of Hogwarts and the Steam version of Hogwarts.
Currently, I've reverted the Steam version back to the old style and adopted Nexus mods.
The Epic Games and Steam versions of Hogwarts
don't differ much in specifications, but the battle BGM is different. Realizing that made playing it feel more worthwhile.

Hey, has anyone run into this bug before?

I’m trying to do the Helm quest, but I literally can’t progress because I can’t complete it. As soon as I get near the first door, the butterflies start moving on their own (without Lumos), and when I actually cast Lumos they don’t react at all. They don’t follow me, nothing. So I can’t solve the puzzle.

I have no idea why this is happening. I’ve tried everything, restarting the game, loading earlier saves, exiting and re-entering the area, etc. Nothing works. Every single time I try to do this quest, the butterflies just don’t respond.

I even uninstalled my mods and it still didn’t fix it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Were you able to fix it? And does this kind of bug usually mess up just that specific save, or can it affect other saves too?

If you haven't removed that mod, please do and try again. If you already did, try taking off all the mods and see if that save will load

if the save does load, you can drop back in all the mods you had (exclude the expecto mod which seemed to cause the issue)

You said you have about 20% left to complete, that means you still have challenges that aren't done. Many of them are for defeating enemies, yes, but others require exploration. There's also your collections, which aren't tracked in your challenges. Collections such as Field Guide pages, gear traits, conjurations, and appearance customisations.

sorry for the late reply, i believe once you first get into the main menu of everything of ‘play with mods’ etc or vanilla, there’s a settings down below where you can click on it and adjust your graphics, you don’t need to load into a particular save to access your graphics if that’s what you’re saying

the ones on nexus are non official hence unsupported, attempt to install those might have the game detect them (third party mods) and force a crash, or just straight up telling you to remove those before allowing you to launch the game

Hi, I know this isn’t really the right spot to ask, but I just stsrted playing the game a day ago and have been really surprised with how unoptimized the game is, sorry if this is just redundant by now. Was curious what settings you guys recommend to get the most out of the game without bring fps to a grinding hault.

What I have observed is that having raytracing on at all is really the biggest offender for this unsurprisingly. Even just walking outside or to certain areas of the castle bring me from 80fps to 30fps.

Ultra with no rt seems to be a solid 120fps inside and 80fps outside for me.

My specs:
ryzen 5700x, 32gb ddr4, rtx 3080, playing at 1080p

Little by little, some creators are releasing Hogwarts mods for NEXUS.

Using “Photo Mod Enhanced” and “Director Cam” together seems to cause the game to freeze. However, reloading the save fixes it.

Nexus mods are not supported, the only mods you can use in the game are the ones you can find in the native mod manager

Some people didn't update their game to where they have the in-game mod menu, which means that for them, the mods on Nexus will still work with their older versions. However, the drawback is that none of those are official & aren't supposed to be used anymore, especially since the updated version shuts the game down if it detects those old mods in most cases. I get that the kit does have it's boundaries, so there are limits on what us mod authors can make with it, but if we're to move all of our mods from Nexus to Curseforge, then we need it opened up & have the bugs in it fixed to where everything that follows their guidelines can be moved over. There's still a few bugs & limits in the kit that make it impossible to move some of the old ones over. We're genuinely stuck on moving everything over b/c of issues with the kit, but we're making what we can with the kit. Those old mods are only getting updates b/c the kit won't take whatever the authors did to make them in the first place, like certain blueprints & the coding edits to make a lot of stuff work that should've been working from day one. Do we want to move all of our stuff over that we can within the rules? Absolutely!! Can we do them all with the kit? Sadly, no... not at the moment & that saddens us authors b/c we have so much that we want to move into official status that it's not funny.

If you've restarted the game and it still doesn't show up, I suggest doing another quest and seeing if completing it refreshed everything! If that doesn't work then try and load into another save and see if it fixes the issue

It also removes dead spider clutter from the environment. But it does not change the images in your enemy collection or the sounds they make, so depending on how severe your fear is you may need to find a mod anyways.

The images in the enemy collection are in the UI Icons, so those can most likely be replaced with a simple mod, but the sounds are another story. We can mod the audio, but getting it to work right & not break copyright laws is a challenge.

Can't take it all out b/c the foe needs an icon & sound, but it should be switchable at the least. I've done the UI icons for my outfits, so the foes should be no different. Not entirely, not with the mods going through a human moderation team. It could be swapped out for something else less terrifying most likely, but again, copyright laws have to be followed.

Some teams might take it, but others won't & every foe is expected to have a threatening sound of some sort. Crawling spider noise could easily be swapped out for the sound of heels clanking on the floor, but it's finding those 2 sounds & swapping them correctly to make it work that becomes an issue. The kit still has bugs in it & many mods that others wanted to make can't be made due to the bugs or the limits built within the kit itself. The UI is doable & the audio can be done, but it's the kit loading it correctly & the mod cooking right that's usually an issue

Hi guys, is there a way for me to override the DT_DbAssetMap_CharacterPieceDefinition data table? I am trying to modify the leg model of the player character but I can only do so to the socks. My idea is to copy the original data table, modify the data assets specified and then use the modified one to override the original. I know its quite a change, but I don't know how to modify the original DT so that it maps to my data asset instead. If you do know how I can modify that one row, please do educate me 😭 I apologize if it may seem like the wrong place, I only know of this server and the curseforge server to ask for advice from. aloha, for the azkaban mod where you get aurors coming after you for using unforgivables, is it just a case of you use one once and they dont stop coming until youre locked up. loaded mods to a save i was mid quest in (hadnt played since december) and ended up accidentally attracting them, took about 5-10 mins of solid fighting until they overwhelmed me and hit me twice and i got sent to azkaban. also any mods that allow you to have more spellbars so i dont have to keep swapping out in T menu, something like an infinite scrollwheel instead of just the 4 sets of 4

try loading the mods slowly in small batches of about 5 mods at a time. If you're looking to run about 20+ mods, it tends to do that black screen thing.

i found it especially bad when enabling that many mods on a fresh playthrough

I wish there were smoother, more natural movement animations for the female character. I like the male character’s movement animations, but when we apply them to replace the female animations, the head jitter issue becomes even more noticeable. The jump animation could also be more realistic, like in The Last of Us Part 2 or Uncharted. I was able to find a solution! Both Tool wheels worked for me only DURING the chomping cabbage herbology quest in the game, while trying to do the "venomous valour" quest. I am not able to use the custom tool wheel with TAB!

Heya. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I recently started playing my first modded game. And I just ran into a wall that the game is putting up. Supposedly there is a mod that requires updating. However, when I go to update it, it freezes on "installing 100%" and never completes. I've also tried uninstalling, but it won't let me. I also tried the same after shutting the game down several different times like some people said on Reddit. And went into the game files and mods folder to look for that specific mod in it but it's not there. So I'm stuck here unable to play and very frustratingly confused. I still have a notice of a mod with a warning. I tried deleting the mod file from its location in C:\Users\myname... but all of the mods still show up as enabled or disabled in the enable mods menu. How can I actually purge the mods so I can start over?

Disable and uninstall them in game, exit game, then delete the mod files (in case they're still there after disabling and uninstalling), then restart the game.

i had this issue on my old pc with a different game

usually happens if i leave a controller plugged in

reboot pc without controller plugged in then once u boot the game see if it's happening still even when disconnected

Hey folks, I was just thinking about an idea for a mod to Hogwarts Legacy and for me it's interesting nobody has made it yet.
But what about mod that would make it possible to replay a mission, as it is in GTA 5, for example? I'd love to play a certain mission without playing the whole story, yk.

You have to disable the mods from the mod menu in the game & then go delete the files from drive system.

i wonder if it could be done with save editing, like importing your character into a save that's on that mission? ive not tried making mods for hogwarts so im unsure if something like that is even possible

but if a save editor exists maybe look for a save that's on the mission you want to replay and go from there

All my mods are updated and arent showing any errors yet i cant launch the mod save due to that enabled mod error... maybe i have too many mods enabled? whats the max amount of mods i can have active on a character?

Not so much a max, but the mods don't uninstall from the main storage drive when you update them. Disable & uninstall the mods from the in-game mod menu, then delete the mod files from the mod folder. The game does NOT delete the old mod files, you have to delete them to force the game to install the updated files.

The mods can be in up to 3 folders, but deleting them from the main game folder usually works.
