Cry like he normally does
And let his sister die?
I want you to take a moment and think about what you are saying, he could of used any spell to save his sister but decided to commit a crime, stop simping for Sebastián he's a murderet
Stop simping for ms Weasley

I can't I have a sweet tooth and she gots what i need
Naaawww
The MC is a minor
(I believe)
And she's like 50
Nawwwww the Mc is 18 trust
No trust
He did the right thing
Why lie to yourself
Because you are being disrespectful to him
You don’t understand which is insane
You are just wrong
He did the right thing by saving his sister. He did the wrong thing by using an illegal curse when he could’ve just stunned the goblin, expelliarmus’d the axe, or other legal spells that they* do teach at Hogwarts.
It was also a stupid thing to do using illegal spells in front of a whole bunch of people. Even if you know them you shouldn’t advertise it.
Hi hi omg I am having such a hard time beating the knights in the last room of the Antechamber !!! I need some tips please !
make sure you have TONS and I mean TONS of healing potions
tbh to have healing potions on the ready
is SUPER helpfull
Antechamber?
You need to block the blockable hits and parry them
if you wanted to do another playthrough you could try it without any consumables for an extra challenge 🙂
just curious are you playing on hard or normal?
Normal ! I am not used to any action games so I’m a little slow on my reaction time😂
Thats ok, everyone has their own pace and its a single player game so no pressure
Tbh that's what I dislike the most about this sequence. There was zero point in using Imperio in that situation over a huge amount of other spells - Crucio and AK both had a narrative reason but Imperio was just like... why?
Try to get a maximum of edurus and maxima potions
Then upgrade them in the talents section
Edurus will make you almost unkillable
Maxima will double the damage your spells usually do
Ik u finished it but these potions are the key to be unstoppable
Thank you!!!
guys how i get avada kedavra after i missed it
i think i also turned sebastian in
i kept leaving and coming back in undercroft but still cant find him after that
If you turned him in then there’s no way to get it
You’re out of luck
You’ll have to start a new game as there’s no way to get AK if you didn’t pick it up during the quest and then turned him in
damn
its the only spell i want and was excited for and after all that i missed 😢
nah im not starting new game its so painful to do all the work i did on this character the main and side quests
well i guess i have to keep going without it then
You can just rollback to an earlier save you know?
sadly i dont have manually saves so im doomed
Hi I am having such a HARD time passing the flight test with Imelda Reyes ! Any tips?
Practice flying and maneuvering at high speeds. Or lower your difficulty setting. Or both. :)
Have you heard the How To Train Your Dragon Theme music playing in the background while riding on the Graphorn mission?
YES I ALWAYS THINK THAT
I don’t think it’s exactly the same but the first time I heard it I just went “hang on this sounds familiar”
It took me ages to actually realise where it was from lol
I was waiting for someone else to say this because either I'm crazy or my ears are working properly.
It's nice to hear a reference from a different universe than the Wizarding World.
Yeah it’s not a 1:1 copy it just sounds similar.
And the human brain is wired to recognise patterns and familiarity, so to those who know the HTTYD theme in question are more wired to hear the similarities and think it’s the same, while someone who doesn’t know that HTTYD theme will hear the differences more than the similarities.
Again, it’s not the same theme, it’s just similar sounding and the brain does the rest,
Yee
I’ll listen to them side by side in a bit
I’m playing life is strange and it’s so sad 💔
This is already valid for the general music of the game. They changed most of the notes on purpose, which they themselves explained. The notes in that music are the same as HTTYD, but then they change.
Hi
self promo isn’t allowed jsyk
Oh? I read the rules and didn’t see that I couldn’t post this!?!?
rule 7,
“7.No spamming, business solicitation, or other advertising without prior approval. Any type of soliciting will result in your immediate removal from the server. Please do not advertise other Discords or websites, even if they are related to the game, without prior administrator approval. Trying to gain petition support falls under this rule, as well.”
Personal YouTube channels, twitch links etc all count as self promo
I edited the post, however those rules do not state anything about self promo?!?. Not trying to cause a scene at all, but if there is an explicit rule against sharing content about the game, the rules should clearly state that
For example, your bio has your psn and twitch accounts attached, which would fall under self promo?!?!
You can ask the <@&755190193367023772> if you want
I don’t stream on twitch, my account is just connected to my discord, same for my PSN.
Self promo would be me going “Hey guys! Go to my profile to find my twitch and PSN! And add/follow me!”
As I don’t promote them with a message, it’s not self promotion.
Having account linked to my discord isn’t something that can be moderated, me saying to look at what I have linked and watch/follow them, IS something that can be moderated
So, I know that Natty, Sebastian and Poppy are meant to act as 'companions' but, outside of their friendship quests, can you call upon them to accompany you across the world??
How do I go about doing that?
Nope.
They only accompany you for certain quests; there was a mechanic in development where you could have various classmates accompany you for some quests unrelated to their friendship questlines, but it was scrapped.
Ah..
Q-Q
okay can someone tell me how worried i should be about san bakar's trial? i found the last one terrifying so how long should i procrastinate doing it for
The 4th trial is stupid easy lol don’t worry
Not a whole lot.
aww
Any tips on getting past fitzgerald's trial? I'm stuck
Why are you stuck?
I am having difficulty getting past the death guards, I believe that I am miscalculating when to go
Yeah, those can be tricky.
I always breathe a sigh of relief once I get past that part, 'cause it's all downhill from there.
I believe it. It freaks me out and honestly, that could play a part in why I'm having difficulty.
Why does everything look so upscaled in game lol. Wish I can send a screeenie here
It's quite weird that developers added Avada Kedavra without considering the fact that some cutscenes and quest elements would change, two examples:
- Because I used it against ||Rookwood|| (Wand Mastery spoiler), he can't just appear and give another quick time event instantly after his death, how is that possible
- I did the same to one of the trolls in the final mission, how can it appear and be very alive in the following cutscene?
You didn't mean it enough.
Then if this were the case, how can it be that the player character means it enough against a simple dark mongrel... but not against a leader of a massive criminal organisation that has been a constant enemy?
shrug Don't ask me to explain your character's priorities. O-O
"you brought this on yourself"
meets person who definitely brought it on themselves
doesn't mean it while casting Avada Kedavra
narrative at it's peak
That's accurate avada kedavra though you can cast it fine 50 times but if you don't mean it once even a little but it'll know
I just want to get something off my chest about a certain… auror
Which one? lol
Solomon? Sharp?
Neither
Officer Singer
Can I just say how it took two underage students (the main character and natty) to gather the evidence against rookwood and Harlow and their criminal BS, and that this officer was not doing this work herself (even though she is an auror). Isn’t she PAID to do the work that a couple of minors did out of care for the world? 🤔
The lack of action/concern coming from this woman is making me think she is secretly in on it..
It’s just… her lack of doing anything as an auror is giving me the ick
It seems dodgy lmao
There seems to be a lot of adult witches/wizards leaving the serious deadly work to a bunch of students lmao
mad eye moody would never let rookwood walk free 😤
I like the headcanon that she’s Harlows secret lady love, the one he blackmailed the tailors assistant to steal clothes for him to give her.
And she only turns on him at the culmination of Natty’s quest after she sees him try to use Crucio on MC and hit Natty instead
Then she’s like “oh damn I can’t let that slide now.”
Like there’s witnesses to him using an Unforgivale curse on students
I think she was kept in the dark of his darker proclivities, like kidnapping Archie and having murdered his dad and blackmailing most of Hogsmeade
Yea she was either a victim or actually a villain
Or a corrupt sympathiser
Isoadora was right
Power should be controlled and managed.
Not just unleashed freely into the world
Wars could potentially start because of power and knowledge and magic and what have you
Uh… idk
Well I'm sure you use somthing that has technology inside it that was previously used to wage war and murder people in foreign countries
Tldr isadoras work can be used the same way as we can take a attack helicopter and turn it into a Samsung kitchen appliance
It's very likely isodora could cure depression anxiety ect with a little more practice/ changing her spell
Like you take the same parts that make a machine gun shoot and make a dryer spin
I should change my house to slytherin tbh
If that is how you feel represents you best
My argument above is very slytherin lol
The murder objects can be used for good eventually
I see what you are saying magic can be used for good and bad reasons but ppl need manage and control magic so it doesn’t get out of control
Hence why we need to make sure knowledge doesn’t get into bad hands
And given to trusted people
If someone had access to let’s say a knife trusted people can use it to make food use it to build and stuff
But bad people can use knife to hurt
Now imagine ancient magic is knife
I would let the bad person use the knife so we can see new ways to use it that we wouldn't kf thought of
Ranrok was about to use the ancient magic to destroy wizards which is why it BAD give power to anyone who want to use it for bad reasons
Yeah we have two different way of thinking LMAO
Magical innovation… nice
On the new minding your own business quest ||is it meant to be all black around in the final cutscene because it seems really out of place if you can help dm me and I can show you what I mean||
i assume it´s not
i had it as well
looked at old ps5 clips and ereven found one with the same issue on PS5 but not on others
if you are on PC like me, then i guess it is a specific setting which causes it
Is it normal to have finished the whole story but barely do any of the side quests lol I really really should get to those
same lol
i got that too, it really ruined it for me
This game just got me good 🙂 I was impressed.
On the quest where you replace the dragon egg with poppy. Getting close to the nest I cast disillusionment. Poppy says "Good idea, but... she'll still be able to smell you." referring to Mama dragon 😄
Loved that bit
o: learned something new today
If only we learned the anti smell spell
15 conjuration items left to collect until 100% collection. So close! 🤞
you got this bud
Lets go you can do this man
Guys, I missed the chance to learn avaeda kadabara from sebs, is their another way to learn it?
As long as you weren't a terrible person and didn't send him to Azkaban, I think you just have to go to the Undercroft.
To me, sounds like something Ravenclaw would say, not Slytherin. A Luna train of thought, for sure. 🦅
no. youre supposed to do them as you progress through the story line. some give gear, skins, etc. but early on it helps you level way quicker. im lvl 34 and i havent even done the boss fight with ranrok yet.
I'm almost Level 37 and I haven't done the fourth trial yet.
i feel like that one is the easiest honestly
She's devastated! She just buried your uncle alone!
No matter what happens from here, I'm glad we met
3rd trial was so easy peasy omg
i one shotted the trolls with bombarda haha
Uncontested.
What difficulty are you playing on?
i think normal
i maxed out everything i had
i had concentration III on all my gear
Odd, because I play on Normal and there's no way I could one-shot the trolls.
That might do it.
concentration 3?
I don't bother putting traits on my gear, so that might be it.
i have concentration three on all my gear
i had 400 offense plus concentration 3
sooo idk
Just finished that for the second time today lol
The trolls were annoying though, must say that.
easy peasy with 400 offense and concentration 3 on all armor
oh my lord yall, I just finished the main story and I am CRUSHED. I had to literally exit the game and take a breather. it was such a great story and I'm so sad that it's over. (but I do still have some side quests and exploration to do, so that's great! :D)
did you breed all the beasts?
me? no, not yet at least. I have plenty more that I need to do within the game, but that is one of my goals eventually :)
did you get the curses
I got two except the killing curse
Shhhh.
Mods are against the game's ToU and as such it's not allowed to discuss them in the server
Ohh I'm sorry
damn I forgot Professor Fig dies at the end.
and I forgot it was Rookwood who cursed Anne
That just hit different.
killing him was so satisfactory tbh
Is there only one battle arena?
There are two in base game, plus the Dark Arts battle arena if you bought the DLC.
Where's the second one?
North ford bog
Found it. Easy as pie
Both endings I sobbed
Tbh I expected more of a fight but 😭
No no fr
I just used Avada Kedavra and that dude was gone
No, you didn't.
I thought I did
I don’t remember the scene quite well, but I do remember using that spell
It has been a while since I’ve played
It's not possible to kill Rookwood with AK, you only defeat him through the linked wands bit at the very end. If you try to use the Killing Curse on him before that point, a random Ashwinder Apparates in front of him and takes the hit instead.
Same thing happens with Harlow.
It used to be possible to hit Rookwood with AK, but it would just deplete his bar and you’d still have to link wands at the end. Then it was changed to the ashwinder version.
I forget if this was ever brought up, but what did everyone think of professor black when compared to his character in the books
His uncle had it coming
Not me crying cause lodgok died
Not cool.
Tbh hes was
Doesn’t make it any better damn
i mean would you guys rather it be 15 year old goblin? technically going by the lore and everything thats the equivalent of their toddler years. i dont know about you but i dont want to work with a crazy gob tod.
Finally got the game to work on my PC (but it means playing at the lowest frame rate possible of 30 FPS) - struggling to get a grasp of the controls (my hand-eye coordination isn’t the best and there’s a lot of quick keyboard action required to succeed) - any tips?
Um…where in HP lore does it say how long goblins live?
movies. almost every movie has mentioned goblins being over 200. also jk rowling.
Please link me to where Rowling said this.
I don’t recall the movies saying anything about how long they live, nor JKR saying anything about it
Me either.
im stuck at level 26 and i beat ranrok but like avada kedavra is at level 28 help- i am stuck at 26 exp gaining is so low
i tried battle arenas they only gave me like 60 xp total
Do your Field Guide challenges. Do side quests.
Did everyone ||unlock the Thestral Room by the Charms classroom|| because I thought it was actually really awe striking. I like the Thestral incorporation into the game a lot
Huh?
||One of the puzzle doors unlocks a Thestral room with two chests inside||
I can’t send a picture or else I would
Thestral...room?
Yes!
blink I have never seen a thestral anywhere near the Charms classroom.
Maybe I should be more specific. It’s the room that has the puzzle you have to unlock with the different animal symbols and when you guess the correct ones (I assume because I was just guessing until it opened) it opens to a room with a Thestral tapestry and thestral statues and a thestral Skelton along with two gold chests. I found it after leaving the charms classroom in the same tower
Oh. The Arithmancy doors.
Yeah, there are multiple throughout the castle.
It's not guessing, it's maths
Okay so y’all know what I’m talking about kinda? I was just wondering if you saw and or liked it because I thought it was really cool
I’m actually really upset it took me so long to realize how to open those doors
I gave up and searched for how to open my first one
Apparently we were supposed to start at the astronomy tower (i think that's the one that has the instructions) but like nowhere in the early parts of the story takes you there. And like after 2-3 doors I got so uncomfortable passing by puzzles without solving them that I just serched how.
i found the page and took a picture/wrote it down.
btw on the doors it has the animals or wtv they are on it in order from 0-9
my quest is basically empty. all it says is "Improve your magical abilities to access the next trial". but i dont remember how i do that?
because if im being honest, im stuck
do side quests
done all that i have of those as well
but still nothing appears
you have to go talk to Sironia on the Three Broomsticks to ask where Lodgok is. once you talk to her you will find him in the Hogshead Bar
when do i get to do the goblin Arn (i think his name is?) quest? i watched a Shorts on yt about something i want from there
~~not sure if this is a spoiler question or what it is... but i just delivered the chinese chomping cabages to bernard. problem is... the quest is still there and wont go away??~~nevermind! it somehow bugged
Are you Ukrainian?
she's Russian and she secretly wants Russia to win
Diabolical
@broken halo thats a bit uncalled for.
just speaking the truth, dear Hufflepuff student
I dont think that was the truth
exactly.
Abit of a wrong thing to say if you ask me
it is truth, she is my friend lol
Oh okay lmao
then i apologize. it is a bit of a weird thing to say given whats going on though.
yh she's a bit of a troll lmaoo but it's our humor so 😭
its all good. dark humor helps alot of people lol
Lmao i was about say
I respect that xD
Sebastian would agree with you
in the Percival Rackham's Trial, Fig mentions a spell to cast. i didnt quite get the spell name. what spell is it exactly, and how do i get it?
Alohomora? The Unlocking Charm?
You'll get the quest to learn it immediately after completing the First Trial
i dont think it was that one. let me reload the auto-save to be sure
fig tells me to sneak up behind a goblin and then cast whatever spell at it while being in disillusionment
Oh, Petrificus Totalus
The prompt just shows up automatically once you're close enough
A popup explains this
ohh okay! yeah i saw the pop-up, but was rather confused about that spell. i looked at my spells but saw nothing. so i went here and asked, thanks!
Yee, it's a core spell, you didn't 'learn' it, but you can already cast it
Like Protego and Stupefy
like the core i can cast with Finité. i tested that on a picture. i found one and clicked the F, then i stoned. after pressing either walking button, Finité was casted. it quite amused me when i pressed the wrong button. stuff as a board and then fall down
Lmao yeah the Medusa painting
lmao yup that one. i found it amusing!
i have 4 sets of "???" on my "Prepare for your search for the final keeper". but what quests am i missing? i just finished sebastians quest in feldcroft
asking because no quests are coming up
Natty wants me to meet her "near the ruins of Falbarton Castle. After dark." where is that located at exactly? im at the castle but confused over where to go
Near the floo powder
im there but she isnt. and no clue of the quest name either
Is there a glowing circle on the ground?
nope
Huh. Idk then. Maybe it's a bug?
hope not. does the quest have a name?
The High Keep
If I choose to learn the cruciatis curse, will that force the evil ending of the game? This is my first time playing, but I want to know because I want to have a good ending.
No, it doesn't change anything.
No matter what you choose at any point in the game, only whether or not you ||choose to open the repository|| at the end will affect which ending you get
I’m so glad the “Learn cruciatus curse but dont cast it” option is there because my character isnt evil at all and I dont want him to cast it but I want to have every spell in the game
Yeah. My character is evil/pragmatic enough to use the other unforgivables, but torture spell is too far imo.
My character is a hufflepuff and I dont want him to be evil but I really want every spell in the spell list
Just because you learn the spells doesn't mean you have to use them
I know… 😭 thats what I said!! I meant in the quest where you use it on Sebastian
You...don't HAVE to though. You can learn it but have seb use it on you
THATS WHAT I SAID!
and i quote: “I’m so glad the “Learn cruciatus curse but dont cast it” option is there”
Just learned avada kedavra🐍🐍🐍🐍
Congrats. c:
Cheers mate!! 😅
Now use it on sebastian
So I’m playing through the game once again, and during the main quest line, when you find Isadora’s memory, did she alter her memory like Slughorn because her memory kinda glitches and then all of a sudden her father is thanking her?
noticed that as well and was wondering the same thing since my first playthrough. i think its a legit theory 👍
And if it’s altered, I want to know what actually happened
The quest where you have to be Professor Black is so freaking hilarious
It’s altered in that she either took out or omitted Percival protesting about the magic and skipping straight to her fatger thanking her.
Meaning anyone who found her memory first would believe that there was no issue or danger involved, like Rackham did because he can see the corrupted magic unlike the other Keepers who can’t see Ancient Magic
Ahh, that makes sense!
Hello everyone!
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but I didn’t want to spoil the story or game for others.
is there a way to get the spell Avada Kedavra if you turned in Sebastian? Or can I just learn it from him?
Nope no way to learn it if you turn him in
I believe you can only learn The killing curse from Sebastian, You can always go to the undercroft and ask Sebastian to teach it to you if you chose not to turn him in.
You either learn from him while you are presented the opportunity to then send him away
Or you keep him around then later go to the Undercroft to learn it from him
I don't know what ending to do to be honest I might do the evil ending figuring I need to get in the habit of editing again 😭
Thank you! I appreciate the help!
I loved trolling my housemates in disguise, feels exactly like what my character would've done
Guys is there any ways to earn more coins
What ways have you been trying?
You mostly earn money by selling gear and finding chests. You can also sell animals that you capture, once you have that ability.
Sell animals how to get that ability
Any side missions
You have to complete the quest The High Keep first.
Also "The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom" and "Beasts Class".
When does this missions pop up
How early are you in the game??
Just completed first trial
Did few assignments
Then you should get them pretty soon, I think after you complete this next batch of main quests is when you'll get Beasts Class
But personally we never bother selling beasts, we just make our gold through chests and selling gear
Yeah, that's mainly me as well.
Ok now I have to unlock by completing remaining side quests
Are you not a high enough level or something??
13 I just started the game
I feel really mean when I do it but when I need money I just go catch a load of beasts and sell them
🥺
Spoiler warning! ||Should i turn sebastian in after he killed his uncle?||
||Depends on what you think is the right thing to do. I personally turned him in because even though he regretted it after the fact, he still murdered his own uncle, so he had to face some sort of punishment in my eyes||
If you haven’t already learned the Unforgivable curses and might want to in the future then don’t turn him in
Turning him in locks you out of learning them all if you didn’t learn them during his questline
ok thanks
A lifetime in Azkaban slowly losing all hope seems a bit extreme considering he’s still just a teenager, one who, I need to remind you, was effectively made homeless by his uncle.
I feel like there should be like a Juvy in the Harry Potter universe Azkaban is definitely very extreme for teenagers
Sebastian had it coming
His crime count is at 5 with 1 murder
More murders if Rowling didn't make it so it's fine to murder goblins
Also congringo cut content makes it heavily frowned upon so he's naughty outside his crimes
It's still considered dark magic upon checking without the negative reprocussions that were cut
Sebastion murdered his Uncle Soloman because he's a jerk. Sebastion bealived there was a cure for Anne while Soloman did not. What if there is a cure and Soloman was getting in the way of that because he thought otherwise
I aint no snitch
I can refuse to give a hungry person a sandwich it's still not illegal and if he steals it he's committing a crime
Straight to Azkaban
I didn't send him because He's trying to do something good for his sister and their Uncle was a legit jerk
The road to hell is paved with good intentions
Womp womp being a jerk is not illegal, several things seb did is
Sebastián simps have gotten away with simping for a child and making his crimes okay for too long
Yall can go to Azkaban too
His Uncle tried everything except dark magic for good reason. DARK MAGIC ALWAYS COMES WITH A PRICE
Sebastion did what he had to do. I'm not saying it's right but his uncle was evil to them
Sebastion only did one wrong thing and that was murdering his Uncle. Sebastion did it for a reason
His uncle did nothing to save Anne. Let's be real here
Straight to jail
Also I don't simp for Sebastion, I'm just saying that he did what he did for his sister
Jail
Well I didn't send him to jail and I won't when I keep redoing play throughs
Do not collect 200, just straight to jail
fr
bro tought bc he saved her w imperio and so world would be destroyed..
i mean he could use expeliamus or smthing like that...
He'd already taken her to the best healers in the wizarding world by the time we come along. what else would you have of him? the man had lost hope
and as I've said before, the road to hell is paved with good intentions
killing people because they’re rude is okay now ??
i wouldnt say evil to “them”
he was nice to anne, he was only rude to sebastian because he had gone to all the best healers in the whole world and nothing had worked but sebastian stayed persistent and sebastian used an unforgivable curse on a goblin to save anne when he couldve used any other spell
My main issue with Solomon was he should not have destroyed that poultice Seb worked so hard on, he should not have accused MC of wrong doing or being just like Seb without proof and while i understand his issue with seb using dark magic and curses, he ignored the reasoning behind it in the case with that goblin and then disowned him despite his intentions there. Like he's more upset seb used dark magic and not the fact goblins invaded his village and tried to murder his niece.
Also he really should have taken everyone out of that crypt and then destroy the relic, not latter first, try to do the latter after. though in that case you could argue he figured destroying it would stop the inferi.
also he should not have attacking MC or Seb when inferi were threatening everyone's lives
yah seb struck first but he should he kept his own cool
Sebastian hit him with a measly basic cast. Solomon retaliated with fiendfyre.
Or fire magic at least. And on MC aswell. like bro i didn't attack you. and there's inferi everywhere though fire is really effective for them
He attacks MC even if they don't know a single Unforgivable Curse.
Sebastian cast the first blow but the way Solomon responded was not appropriate
there's inferi everywhere Solomon. Priorities
He's an ex-Auror fighting two children
yah solomon overreacted
Exactly, Soloman went to far
fr
tho if he dident i would not have killing curse (:
Fr, i think both sides over reacter from the start...
Whether or not you agree with Sebastian should hold little to no bearing on your expectations of Solomon. A clearly fully grown adult. I can (somewhat) accept the ambiguity on agreeing with Sebastian's ultimate motives. I struggle to accept anyone who feels Solomon acted correctly and didn't fully contribute by worsening an already bad situation by his own conduct.
Basicaly both partyes went too far
But solomon caused the other one to go overboard....
Ex auror fighting 2 kids instead of inferi
Yall glossing over the fact Sebastián is known to be a good dualist depending on who you ask best in hogwarts & is also known to use forbidden magic & dark magic. Everyone knows he used dark magic he makes it no secret and his uncle has witnessed him use forbidden magic
He's a bad kid with a gun (wand)
Solomon had every right when Sebastián attacked first to assume Ill intent, and iirc solomon didn't even have a wand in his hand when Sebastián attacked, and if he did the wand wasn't raised
I mean the last portrait profesor also uses ak and he was fine...
I did think bout that part. Seb's not helpless and does use Dark Magic and knows how to use all 3 UCs which i assume Solomon does not know bout so Seb would be considered dangerous even to an ex-Auror but i do think him attacking both him and MC in retaliation for a basic attack cast was the wrong move especially given there are inferi still there. Also Solomon did have his wand in his hand when Seb attacked him
Yeah, Solomon had just destroyed the relic and was in a room full of inferi. He wouldn’t have put his wand away.
Today, I Learned....that if you kill the acromantula by the phoenix cave, the Absconder won't appear in its cave in the Forbidden Forest and you can just grab the watch. (Either that, or I got a lucky glitch. Or it won't appear unless you've started the mission?)
...Okay, I have the watch, but I can't give it to him.
Great.
Went back to the cave. Big ugly spider is there now. Fantastic.
OK, yeah, so it looks like the Absconder doesn't appear until the mission is started. As soon as I killed it, I was able to return the watch.
I went back and watched the cutscene and it was not up or even pointed at seb
So a known good dualist, who he knows to use dark magic & he's aware he knows at minimum one curse which you can reasonably assume if someone knows one they know all, attacked him first
Taking cut content into consideration confringo is heavily frowned upon -50 house points each cast
Without taking cut content into example using dark magic is still frowned upon in universe/lore
Game said you weren't getting out of fighting it lol
Ik he's a good duelist and used DM and Solomon knows he knew one of them. I forgot bout the Goblin thing. I still think he was wrong to attack (especially attack MC when MC didn't attack him in the first place and depending on your choice may not know DM), when the inferi were around still and animated. The priority imo is dealing with them first and getting the kids out of there safely. Then deal with Seb.
I reckon things prob would have gone better down there if he had not shown up. At least he wouldn't have died
Mc was there when Sebastian used unforgivable and was there during the second encounter aswell
I can also assume Solomon has heard Mc is a decent dualist but maybe not
It can easily be assumed Mc is just as deranged as Sebastian
Or at the minimum condones Sebastian
He already lumped us in with Seb prior to the crypt fight.
That was wrong of him unless your MC actually uses UCs
Within reason,Mc was fine with a unforgivable being used
It's not a unfair assumption
Like yah he could have done another spell, but he went on instinct in that case and was tryna save Anne so I'd have warned not do use them again so as to not end up in jail. But given Seb's obsession I don;'t think a warning would stop him using them again if he felt he had to and well he was using an object which required a sacrifice later so yah....
Seb def would of still did it
The under playing of his actions & how he makes the Mc look is often ignored
Actually i wonder when do wizards learn those curses in the cases of law enforcement since the Ministry was known to remove those restrictions in times of conflict. So Aurors would have to be trained to use them in those events
Yah that too. Like he risks his own arrest with them. Like i can let the Anne thing pass cos it was to save her but like he can't keep doing them in contexts that wouldn't potentially exonerate their use like saving her would.
MC you can argue is using them in self-defense given they are specifically being targeted for capture or death in the conflict with ranrock and co.
Honestly seb probably would of killed Mc if not for Solomon
Also Poachers, fck them.
Yah the whole dark sacrifice things is not clear but ya...
It's in the name sacrifice
Ik. Like its either murder or body mutilation but the former most likely and i'm not cool with either
And Seb is not in his right mind with the object
damn typo
Really it comes down to three options
Solomon dies
You die
Sebastian dies
Luckily the choice never has to be made
And it's cleverly ignored by Sebastian fans
I wouldn't care if they used Rookwood. Fck him
Or just get him to tell us the curse incantation then force to reverse it if possible
I should replay Hogwarts legacy instead of just talking about why Sebastian sucks lol
Ive never even learned the curses
Ah you went for non dark magic run. same. il do a DM run sometime. Need to actually finish HL. I have to do the last quest - field guide to get the ending proper. then do lotta SQs
Yeah non dark magic Slytherin
Really a point to any other house when Slytherin gets their own gloves? Lol
I went Hufflepuff for my run. Azkaban quest which could have been longer really. Also i like Hufflepuff
Hufflepuff cool but that quest Is indeed overhyped lol
Atleast Gryffindor has a book moment that's not just a hallway
There's and Azkaban Quest?? Is it house Specific??
I've Never Seen that on my Slytherin or Ravenclaw Game??
Yes. It's the house specific quest for hufflepuff.
That Sounds Awesome; Gotta Check it Out!
Noooo! ||Poor fig (defeated ranrok)||
Do you think ranrok is dead
Hmm tbh prob no (for lore for hl2)
He should be. I used the killing curse on him
Yeah, Avada Kedavra doesn't work in that fight.
It doesn't one shot him, but it does deal significant damage. Use it once and he calls in his goons. Take care of them and use it again on him to trigger the crosswands QTE
"calls in his goons"...?
Are we talking about the same fight?
Ranrok? Not Rookwood?
WAit. is ranrok the goblin?
...Yes.
Oh. Nevermind then
I could oneshot him?
No.
Hm weird then it did like 95% of dmg + i used an maxima potion
Tbh i tought ranroks boss fight will be harder and longer
W 3 armor and dmg potions i took it easy
And only used 2 healing potions
^
How much time does ot take to complete the rest of the main quest?
But I don’t think we will be seeing ranrok in hl2 want to see some other villains
I joust wana se harry potter accurate game ;-;
If not annything the fighting tree could be there
It’s not going to be Harry Potter related
Ik but oh well if it will be a banger like this one is good
I have feeling Sebastian might end up being a villain
He is my favourite character but still he knows dark magic
Sequel will be 🔥
Heyy
but what if you sent him to prison??
Perfect villain origin story.
You can rest easy knowing you did the right thing
i feel like sebastian's story is kinda left unfinished if you don't imprison him
like he's just left as some depressed dark arts guy
so if there is a sequel sebastian should be a villan fr
Its all assuming a sequel even continues this directly. They could do a prequel for all we know
After finishing Sebastian storyline yes I also felt the same he might turn into villain in future
I hope it’s a sequel I would love to see all the characters back
Yah but i dunno were they go unless they put it in the year after cos they'd have most freedom there cos after that AD shows up in canon to the school
they can still do a story there and not involve him but like why wouldn't they capitalize on putting a young AD in the main cast of such a game where's he's at hogwarts
i think it’d be cool to continue in the second game as our character and choose to open the container or keep it locked up in the beginning of the game (since the option to choose did nothing at the end) and then we’d have a morality option instead of being the hero like always
and you could explore the darker magic throughout the year as well as class work or dive further into your ancient magic if you choose not to open it
Personally I'd love to attend more classes
transfiguration is so underused
learning your animagus form in beasts class would be neat
It would. q-q
But it would belong in Transfiguration.
true
except I don't think that's something they TEACH considering the steps to becoming an animagus are convluted to hell and back
to cast the spell maybe but i think learning what form of beast you’ll take would be a quest for beasts class
Apparently they teach it in Uagadou, so I don't see why they couldn't here. Maybe to Sixth and Seventh Years?
wouldn't that break the lore? the marauders had to learn it themselves
They managed it in Fifth Year.
I'm saying Hogwarts could officially teach it to older students.
i mean there were all those poachers that were an animagus
All those female poachers that somehow all became wolves, but yeah.
maybe it’s because they’re all poachers and prey driven
it's not something hogwarts teaches though. other schools do, yeah, but not hogwarts. personally I blame the ministry
I'm saying they could, though. If they wanted to. I don't see why not.
lore breaking
"Gryffindor - Known for Daring, Bravery, and Chivalry" Two of those are synonyms.
they didn't teach it during the marauders era, they didn't teach it during harry's era, they didn't teach it during HL as far as we can tell since we only meet ONE animagus student. so why would they SUDDENLY teach it during HL2 but then decide to NOT teach it later on
Blame JKR.
the devs have said they want the game to be as lore friednly as possible
if the MC can learn it outside of class go for it!
i don't expect it to happen anyway. also it would have limits in game cos the game engine can't give you the option to any animal you want.
The animagus registry was in place at least by the time of HL, so asking to learn it (if Professor Weasley would even agree to teach you the method and monitor it) she’d likely also have to report you to the ministry so you were registered.
Even Natty is told to be more careful about her adventures as a gazelle because I doubt she and her mother registered when they moved.
There’s also the fact that it’s really advanced and not many attempt it because if the risk. You mess up one thing and you ether have to start the whole process again, or you end up in a half transformed states and end up at St Mungo’s
In the final battle against Ranrok in the lower levels of Hogwarts, I decided as a Slytherin to claim the dark magic as my own and did not contain it. Do I now get to somehow use this or what happens now?
No, there's no difference combat-wise.
That's unfortunate but makes sense given how the game is setup
It also may just be a temp boost lore wise anyway
to be fair MC could do what isadora was doing instead of opening the container tbh
i’m sure they could piece together a hunt for her “journal” pieces where she describes how she does it
missed opportunity with the morality option
They need her spell for that though so yah they'd have to hunt for her journal entries to see if she wrote it down
You mean Isadora journal and pensive right
I did find it but she is not in the portrait
yah it was burned
destroyed. so MC would have to go on a hunt for others or other stuff she hid around
How do you actually get the final OWLS cutscene? I’m looking everywhere and nothing gives me an actual answer. I’m level 35 and done every quest I had (but have not done my game 100%, I’m fairly certain you don’t need 100 to get the final scene)
You go to the Great Hall, after speaking with Matilda in her office.
Mathilda won’t speak to me, if i remember right then last time we spoke was in her office and she told me to keep exploring. Going to the great hall doesn’t trigger anything :,)
Well, if you're Level 35 and you've shown her your book, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't trigger. Specifically, you go to the little room between the doors to the Great Hall, and the doors that lead out into the corridor where the Grand Staircase is. There are two suits of armor there, and, at the beginning of the game, a moth mirror.
I’m standing in that room rn and there’s nothing, I’m not sure if I talked to her before I was level 35 or not but I can’t interact with her at all
shrug I honestly don't know what to tell you, I'm sorry.
It’s okayyy I’ve just been looking everywhere for an answer :,) It’s an old save anyways, I just wanted to see if I could complete it but I guess not. I’ll start a new one and hope to remember not to talk to Weasley before I’m level 35
Well, I think it depends on how much you have already accomplished in your field guide... Cannot really say, as I am much of an explorer and I took my time in finding as many secrets as possible
Could be:
Weasley satisfied -> OWLs cutscene
Weasley not satisfied -> no OWLs
just finished the game and final quest (house cup) this is so sad
it was pretty good
Gonna be a hippogriff? 😂
For me is 8am
Ye gryffindor not hippogriff😂😂👍
XDXDXD
Tbh now that i am more in game slytherin house aint even that bad
Good. c:
If only squid were more common
lol
The house is more to the center of hogwarts if yk what i mean...
Not really, no.
(I hate using floo flames when i gota)
So i rather walk and this house is closer to all
Ah.
Oh btw u 100% the game?
No. :) I got to Level 40 once, and I might do it again, we'll see if I have a sense of humor.
Whats ur rating for polgiester haunted shop u can obtain?
What do you mean, rating?
Oh. As in, how much I enjoy playing it? I'd say 7/10. Maybe 7.5.
It was bit scarry w those dools but otherwise fun
It was a little unnerving the first time around, yeah.
And confusing my braib didnt understant a bit
Yeah, it's designed to get you lost
Yeah, but I've played it a few times now, so I pretty much know where I'm going. Sort of.
I mean if u cant go 1 way u go back
- those dolls scared the fu* out of me
Yeah, but the landscape changes as you go through it, even more than the Trials
Fr
hows this spoilers 🤣
Hi!!! Last night I finished the main story line and omg, I cried when all the profs showed up holy sdfsiudfhshdf what an epic moment 😭 and the end battle is so cool; but .. I was kind of .. let down with ..the story after? they play a great hall lets remember prof fig cutscene and then its...thats it, end of the year, go do side quests have fun, like hello? what do I do with the big secret under the castle? no profs asking me what I've been up to and had to suffer through the entire school year? The end battle, the secret under hogwarts, all very cool, but the after, .. kinda..storywise lackluster? what are your thoughts?
my thoughts exactly. the ending feels way too rushed and is not giving the game its deserved fulfilling conclusion after that last epic battle. its missing a profound emotional review and clarification (with friends and professors) - and of course some sort of consequences regarding what we decided to do with that teensy ancient magic thingy i guess ... but maybe thats too far fetched? 🫠
instead after finishing the story you end up being left hanging and ignored by almost any of the characters. its disappointing really.
Yes! Exactly that! I almost preferred if it had finished with a cut scene where it shows your future maybe? what you do with the secret, going through emotional conversations with friends and proffs, and ending it with the hogwarts train riding off - fade to black - end credits kinda thing?
Then you could still have it go "back" to your common room where it says, before your train ride home you had some last things to finish, have fun
Just a little more emotional value about the rollercoaster you just went through
<@&755190193367023772> Spammer.
I was playing Hogwarts Legacy, and I thought what kind of adventure within the story of Hogwarts Legacy 2 might be needed.
"Rogue Deatheater".
I know it sound strange the title but the point of adventure in Hogwarts Legacy with 3 unforgivable curses with Sebastian Sallow where it ends with the keep Sebastian at Hogwarts or betray Sebastian, send him to Azkaban and he grow with rage for revenge.
With that said, can the project Hogwarts Legacy 2, keep the characters already created by the players, and in the houses adventure that betrayed Sebastian, can have the Sebastian revenge story in Hogwarts Legacy 2?
interesting idea if a villain in the next game was an equally ambitious/powerful student, like how it was in the chamber of secrets
i dont know how i'd feel fighting sebastian though, feels like everything that has happened i dont think he'd turn evil he'd just be broken
@lofty grove I'm not sure if this might be/not be a good spoiler here, but in my Hogwarts Legacy 2 adventure of Caleb Thorn (Slytherin), i want for my Slytherin character to remain forever with Imelda Reyes, like 💗 fate.🤭😊
ohh like a romance feature
yeah i wouldn't mind something like that in a sequel
like something out of the half-blood prince (if you've watched the movies lol)
Spoiler to you only, SovietSpy, I saw all the movies Harry Potter and played all the games HarryPotter.
danggg ok you know your stuff 🔥
If there's to talk about the romance in Hogwarts, 🤭small spoiler now, Hogwarts Mystery already contain romance🤭, but more in DM.😊
ohhh does it how nice haha
Personally, I hope he survived. He's all but comatose now.
if he returns in the sequel imma be pissed 😭 🙏
Maybe just a cameo.
||Dumbledore dies||
Way late, I know. I like to think the curse lost it's effect on her after Rookwood died.
That's my headcanon as well.
Or maybe Ranrok will return in the Hogwarts Legacy 2, but only as a shadow who posses others to make innocents goblins to start a war in his name.
That's how I like to picture Ranrok's return in Hogwarts Legacy 2 game, like an Horcrux Shadow who you don't stop that easily and you can get to destroy him once and for all but only at the middle of year 7 of Hogwarts.
oh my gosh i really really hope we get a new villain
idgaf about ranrok no more 😭
We'd better.
leave him in the first game 😭 🔥 💯
i think it'd be cool if the new antagonist was like a student
like how ||tom riddle|| was
I need to rewatch those at some point. XD
expect itll be present and not the past lol
I suppose somebody has to. :)
Or how about 3 new villains for Hogwarts Legacy 2, a student (🤭That is already checked on my list with my Slytherin evil character Caleb Thorn🤭), a goblin (no Ranrok), and if we will finally get to have that giant snake ally (for Slytherin only) to be like an "Chamber of Secrets" kind of thing.😊
Nu Slytherin favoritism. :(
We’ll get Ranrok’s grandma Granrok.
Hufflepuff villain in the Chamber of Loyalty. Unleashes a giant badger to protect muggleborns, but accidentally causes more damage than the basilisk ever did.
that's not a high bar to overcome considering all it did was petrify a few students, a ghost, a cat, and only had ONE fatality that was most likely accidental
peak writing WB should hire you
I wonder how many people Tom even petrified. He just thought this could ruin the school, tried it out and immediately stopped because of course they were consequences.
me when my actions have consequences
please add consequences to HL2
Like a morality system
You guys play RDR2 ever?
Essentially that
That would be out of the question, like this option for the game, no.
Well yeah, it’s a joke.
Guys, you know what else might be exciting to have in Hogwarts Legacy 2 game? Special Adventures just like in Hogwarts Mystery, with Animagus, A Professor Apreciation, Expecto Patronum, and many more other special adventures.
Patronuses are never gonna happen, srry.
Why not? Expecto Patronum is an important spell from Harry Potter universe, since we didn't defended againstDementors in Hogwarts Legacy 1, why the spell should be rejected now for Hogwarts Legacy 2?
Dementors are at Azkaban, and as much as I would love to revisit the Hallway, I just can't see that happening again.
Ok. I can see that picture, but try to see my point of view, Effie, Expecto Patronum is a very important spell to this Harry Potter universe, it shouldn't be rejected.
The spell wasn't in Hogwarts Legacy 1, I take your side Expecto Patronum might not be in Hogwarts Legacy 2 aswell, but I say it again, the spell Expecto Patronum shouldn't be rejected.
Not gonna happen. No practical use for it.
Fighting Lethifolds?
About Expecto Patronum.
Yeah, Lethifolds are only repeled by that. Just like Dementors.
Which only live in the tropics.
Maybe poachers accidentally released a ton of them?
Yeah…good luck capturing a ton of them. And to what end, even?
Taming them to sell on the market. They'd make great guardians for you treasures after all.
Uh…yeah, I highly doubt that.
You never know.
They’re XXXXX. Impossible to train or domesticate.
Doesn't mean there aren't people dumb enough to try. lol
It’s just not plausible.
Like I said. Dumb people.
The only ones who would try it, are going to be the dumbest people.
Then wouldn’t they be too dumb to be able to capture more than one or two lethifolds? They aren’t exactly easy to spot.
Fair enough. It'd just be fun to have both Lethifolds and the Patronus charm in the game.
Also, did they ever explain why all the Dugbogs were hostile?
Probably all the dark ancient magic. Same reason the dark mongrels were aggressive.
Wait, maybe the ancient magic is part of the reason Lethifolds are present.
Theoretically, couldn't you use the Imperius curse to control them?
Yall i need help ;-; i started my game after not playing for 2 weeks and half of my spells i had are missing , i dont have anny mods
Maybe. Maybe not.
If it were effective on dementors, for example, you’d think that would be the one instance in which the Imperius Curse is not “unforgivable.”
Ancient magic is not going to cause them to migrate across the ocean to a completely alien environment.
Yah i assume the CC is not effective on Dementors and Lethifolds and many fantastic beasts
Given Dementors don't seem to be corporial, I don't think it would work on them.
they do have some kind of corporeal form as they do have mouths and hands and heads but they are still not entirely physical entities as they are not born as we are and they don't die as we do
Yeah. I also believe the Kiss only works on humans. Goblins, Vampires, Mefolk, etc. Dementors can't consume their souls.
Yah Dementors should be able to use the Kiss on any living being cos they need a soul to live in the first place unless the soul is already removed by a Kiss.
Yeah, human.
All living things have different types of souls.
Not in HP, they don't.
I don't think it's ever been explained.
Well, I'm of the firm opinion that until it's established that different species have souls that work differently, it's safe to assume that they're all basically the same.
Phoenix souls work differently since they actually don't got to Limbo or Afterlife upon death, at least not for a very long time since they reincanate after death.
Newt's writings seem to imply they do they die perma eventually though and there one would think there'd loads of pheonixes around if they can legit live forever.
Well, that raises the question of how many times they can revive. owo
Removing their soul via Dementor would prob stop their reincarnation cycle or somehow preventing the cycle from continuing will effectively render them dead.
Ik. Newt just wrote it allows them to obtain great age.
But like does the wording imply they eventually die or not?
Like if takes logic and science and really long term into account, they in theory they may be able to survive cosmic heat death
which is crazy to imagine
I always wondered if dementors could suck a soul out of a horcrux 🤔
Maybe but good luck gettin anyone to volunteer for that test
And its not likely anyone else is a lving Horcrux other than HP and Nagini in history
and even if they can, it doesn;t mean it will destroy the horcrux
@viscid tusk we need to test something…
that dementor would then have to removed from existence via enough happy emotions/ memories i think but it could maybe regenerate with said horcrux inside it via negative emotions due to how dementors are born via negative emotions. they reproduce like fugus basically
What happens to a soul fragment in a living horcrux, when the living creature dies?
ask nagini
brb, asking Ominis to ask Nagini.
need an interpretor haha
It is presumably destroyed but we dunno.
Like I don't think the manner of death would matter but we can't know
Hence its why LV makin her one was a risk. But then he could just make another Horcrux afterward if she died and the soul fragment with it so he could get back what he thought was his 7 splitted soul
He wanted his soul spliit in 7
ironically he split in 8 unknowingly but not all at once
He was at 7 before he made Nagini one
Narieeee 🥹
Heeewwoo 👋 😇
heya
Anybody know all the locations of the demiguise moons
I know the locations of a lot of the moons, but not all.
Darn just tired of searching
I can never find the Demiguise
use a guide on google
I used the ign guide
Silly question, does the shop you can get via the quest in Hogsmeade actually do anything? Can you manage it? Place items for sale in it? Make money or even just sell vendor loot at it for a better price? I cannot even find my shop on the map and cannot remember where in the village it is. ... Or... is it one of those silly quests that has you do all this stuff just for its own sake?
No, it’s just somewhere you can sell your gear for a little more than all the other vendors in the game
I’m playing this game for the first time and I just did the “Minding Your Own Business” quest and oh my god it’s so trippy and scary. I feel like it came out of my nightmares
Lol isn't it cool
It traumatized me i think 😭
You mean the one in the basement at Hogsmeade? That cripled me to, if your answer is yes.😊
im about to start it, im seeing i mightve made a mistake😅
Eh?
the shop quest
It's not a mistake. 🫂
i gotta experience everything at least once 🫠
I agree. The shop quest isn't a mistake, from the point of view that you put items on sale and not buying them from other shops.
Well, I was saying it's not a mistake because it's a good quest.
The shop itself is useless.
I was so overstimulated because of that quest
i was so confused, i almost had to look up how to get out of one of the rooms🫠
i was annoyed cuz when i thought it finally ended
we had to fight the ex owner
ughh
Ops leftover
How do u complete ?
It is a scary quest yes
Which part? There are so much puzzles you just have to go through it all and I was actually looking for tutorial on youtube for some parts. 😭
I can send you a link to a full walkthrough of that quest
Sebastian kills his uncle
Anne doesn't forgive him
You either turn him in or save him
You learn avada kedavra after that
I hope a quidditch DLC is added ngl
And maybe a chamber of secrets/Voldemort/dark arts DLC
Not Voldemort, just smth similar like a dark lord
Lore not included btw
You can learn Avada Kedavra during the end of the In the Shadow of the Relic quest.
If you didn’t learn it then and turn him in, you can’t learn Avada Kedavra
That would break canon
Which Avalanche have said many times is something they’re sticking to as closely as they can
Nope lol
I said lore not included
Also yes you CAN learn it after
If you go to ominis
B.S.
Yeah why would Ominis, a character very clearly established to be staunchly against the Dark Arts teach you the Killing curse?
Like think about that for a second lol
Not in Hogwarts Legacy.
Broom flight was so janky at launch, there’s a reason they didn’t develop quidditch and had a way to exclude quidditch from the game entirely.
It would be so expensive and time consuming to make. WB already have HL2 in the works
You joined the server today and went on about stuff that’s been brought up even way before launch, and pretty much at least once a week since. Excuse me for being a bit tired of having to rehash the same thing lol
God I love the deathly hallows mission… I wish I could just fight enemies nonstop with the elder wand
Yeah I really enjoyed that one!!
What has you indecisive
Nothing, really. You just get a different ending cutscene.
Wait is the game over!
....I don't know, is it?
Dose the game continue after the battle
Not really.
You can keep playing. It's just the story's pretty much over.
you should open it, whats the worst that could happen 🌲 🍎 🐍
To late dude
you just spoiled the whole quest
check the channel name 😭 🔥
aw man im so sad, story got spoiled in the story spoilers channel 😭
What is this world coming to? 😭
im on the last quest of the sebastian storyline and its incredible
i personally cant wait to get the last curse to instantly kill enemies
since it's so overpowered i imagine the cooldown is quite significant
solomon as a boss fight is INSANE
HELL YEAH HE DID
I MEAN I GET IT BUT HOLY CRAP
i kinda dont agree with him but i want the Killing Spell so i do for this!
its a nice nod that the wand movement is a lightning bolt
Indeed. Provides some sort of a logical reason why Harry's scar is a lightning bolt.
I GET IT TOO
11,290 DAMAGE HOLY
That is the canonical wand movement for the spell I think so attention to detail there if so
yah it is. not the best for aiming a spell though given how fast it must be done and that you need to aim properly all the while
The fact that Penny chooses to stay and help with the shop if you free her is so wholesome. 🥺
But she's still a big fat liar
She literally COULDN'T tell you the truth
Like was physically incapable because she had been magically ordered not to
She said I can sell anything from dittany to mooncalf fur, after that I still can't sell my dittany or mooncalf fur 😠
Well I mean that was just for the story, in-game the only stuff you can sell is clothes (and beasts to Madam Peck)
I know, but it doesn't make her any less of a liar really
;-; How dare u, Penny. You got my hopes up, making me think I could sell all these useless mallowsweet leaves....
ikr
I wonder if Fastidio and Peeves would be besties or fight each other. Or both.
Madam Peck's first name is Ellie and my brain autocorrected that to Esther for a while because my character is named Ellie too. 🫣
Why did your brain auto-correct to Esther because your character's name is Ellie...?
lol.
so is there any hint as to the approximate year when the keepers were alive? im wondering as one of the keepers ||used AK on isadora|| and ||faced no consequences for his actions|| so perhaps before ||those curses were made unforgiveable||?
everything ive heard in game just says "hundreds of years ago"
Can't say anything for the exact years, but my speculation is ||that the other keepers looked the other way because they know there's no other choice but to kill her at that point||
||and bakar's words after he killed isidora somewhat implies that the unforgivables were already outlawed before then||
||if that is the case we can narrow the year to sometime in 1700s, when ulick outlawed the unforgivables as the minister then||
Around the 1450s or so, when Gringotts was founded.
that would make sense and mean AK isn't unforgivable yet but recent enough for hogwarts and gringotts to exist
The Keepers are from the Tudor period which occurred between 1485 and 1603, including the Elizabethan era during the reign of Elizabeth I (1558–1603).
Percival Rackham could be from the 1300s, though, 'cause he old...
I mean he's anywhwere from 50s or older based on the grey hair. We ultimately dunno his birth year but he was around when Gringotts was founded
"Vault number twelve was commissioned shortly after Gringotts was founded four centuries ago." Gringotts was founded in 1474 (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter), which means the Keepers and Isidora Morganach must have been active around this time period.
So they are before and during Tudor period based on their physical appearances and ages.
Before the the UCs are outlawed era
The armored goblin rangok is especially not for goblin cause but for blood
Because he even stole a goblins carriage
And powerhunger
I think after Hogwarts founded because during Harry Potter era their was no achient magic' and goblin rebellion and an elf for revenge caused goblin rebellion and before Harry Potter era it was tom riddle Era
are the four pensive "wand parts" remnants of isadoras wand?
it seemed that way to me considering we make a wand out of it, and show the wand to the guardians to get to the repository of ancient magic under hogwarts
as in, isadora would show her wand to the guardians to get in... but then the question is: how on earth did the other keepers get in to confront her? and, why didnt the guardians attack ranrok
Because we'd already deactivated them.
just made sense that after her death the keepers picked up her wand
so breaking it into parts that form part of the pensive charm would make kinda sense
as all the pensives tell her story from the perspective of the keepers
I feel like it's an unnecessary detail, though. I always assumed the artifacts were just things that the Keepers created especially for the purpose of the trials.
I mean the memories of wizards are infallible according to JK I read unless tampered with
so we are getting exactly what went down from the keepers memories, not an altered version
its a different wand from the Keeper wand.
Solomon: I will immediately notify the headmaster if I catch you using any of the unforgivable curses!
Ludwig Black (my character) who used the Cruciatus and Imperius curses multiple times while defending Feldcroft: Yes sir
Another reason Solomon needed to die.
If I tell sebastian the no one should know the killing curse in the quest where he kills his uncle, can I still learn it?
I wish there was a way to say people should know the curse without saying "Yes killing your uncle was mega based"
That's gotta be one of my peeves about this game; often forces you to strongly take one side or the other
Yes, you can still learn it.
splendid
Actually, does it effect the story much if I say I agree with him just to get the curse?
No it's purely inconsequential
The only choice that matters is if you want him to take a nice little camping trip to a funny room on an isolated island with a Dementor waifu buddy for eternity or not
Wait……. I thought I was the only one who got the dementor waifu 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Youre Sebastian, confirmed
This is Marie's darkest wish, dw about it
Ok furry boy
I AM NAURT
10000% a furry femmmmmboy
Can I do the House Cup quest and then finish the rest or do I have to do everything else first?
Nice, thanks!
When I fought Solomon I used Crucio and Imperio on him multiple times
meanwhile i can't bring myself to start the relic quest 😔
Name checks out lol
But killing curse so good so fun
So op with dark magic skill tree....
Crowds begone
haha i'm looking forward to this tbh to use in the arena
but after the solomon battle i reckon i'll need a tub of ice cream
Prepare the ice cream tub. 🥺
b&j's sitting in the freezer as we speak 🥲
Honestly real
I wish I could go back and change some choices i made......
Why?
I complain about choices not mattering that much in this game and then when my choice matters it drives me crazy
I sent Sebastian to prison
...hands you a Time-Turner Do what you must.
I was tired it was late and I regret it
Gives me flashbacks to losing friends cuz they did bad things lol
Also I saw a post of someone saying it's not fair since we kill ppl who we think are bad all the time in this game
And if you look in the collection, at least one of the infamous foes doesn't actually want to be there
Which one?
Uhhh I know it's a lady
I'm booting up the game in a sec I'll check
She's an ashwinder
Well, if she didn't wanna get unalived, she shouldn't've messed with MC. 😤
I believe in her lore she never really wanted to be one and is being forced to to like provide for her family or something
omg really
I lowkey do not mess with how black-and-white the morals of the main questline are made to look
Killing poeple and being like "Nah this is YOUR fault for being EVIL!!!"
I've taken too many history classes to enjoy that kind of speech towards ones enemies
i do read their pages sometimes but i must've missed this one
Oh I can't send images here
Yeah, I hate black-and-white morality.
Gwendolyn Zhou
Blackmailed into being an ashwinder informant in the ministry
After being found out and fired she had nowhere to go but to the ashwinders for a job to support/protect her family
It seriously ticks me off how the game makes us either fully side with one or the other on a lot of things
A lot of the times both sides are at least partially valid
Also how the dialogue options and the actual dialogue often don't align..
For example? OwO
i remember why i missed hers 😭 must've one shotted her with petritotal and didn't even realise i had a new page
A number of convos with the keepers I think, as well as when seb and ominis are at odds with each other
Ohh yes, I so wish I could side with Ominis sometimes.
Also this
(for my second point)
this this this
I would but also I really wanted to learn those curses....
"I hope Sebastian takes this no further, but if you think he might, let me know. It would mean a lot." Me: sad Effie noises 'cause she can't say a damn word
LITERALLY i was screaminggg
I think it does it better with Natsai's quests
Like being able to disagree with her n stuff
wait so they give options to learn but disagree for the first two but not for the killing curse?
And how Ominis asks you to stand with him against Sebastian removing the relic from the catacomb, and you're like, "Yeah, sure....But also nah."
You can disagree with him and he won't teach it to you then and there but if you don't turn him in he'll be around to teach you any curses you missed in the undercroft
If you disagree with him and turn him in you just never learn the killing curse or any other curse you missed
I wish I disagreed with him and didn't turn him in.....
If there's a way to mess with my save file I might do that tbh
me watching my character do the opposite when i choose to side with ominis: 👁👄👁
Yeah and also how you and ominis agree to negotiate with sebastian and your character kinda just... doesn't?
Exactly.
The game just forces you to lie and it's frustrating
i gotta give credit to whoever wrote sebastian and ominis tho bcs boy did i dislike ominis at first
Yeah it was written quite well
Poor Ominis. T-T
welp i still need to go through that quest anyhow 🥲 this discussion gave me fanfic inspo so thanks guys ahaha
What u gonna writeeee
something 😀 not sure yet bcs i'm still brainstorming
I wanna readddd
hehe okay! expect my owl later
I know there hasn’t been a Ranrok incident in the 100+ years after Hogwarts Legacy (Being the Fantastic Beasts series, and Harry Potter series) but I believe the repository should be opened for wizard kind to understand and learn about ancient magic to be able to counter it and possibly use it if an incident like what happened in Hogwarts Legacy happens again
The Keepers were just like the Jedi in Star Wars, not learning, but hiding ancient magic and locking it away because they were scared, instead of learning and interacting with it to teach future generations about to learn how to harness and counter it
If HGL2 doesn't explain why ancient magic died out, ISTG...
Thank you for coming to my TED talk about why the repository should be opened
Seems the only counter to AM is AM or Goblin silver and don't expect Goblins to give that up to wizards
and most people aren't even aware of AM and there doesn't seem to alot of AM around the world anymore anyway and those who see AM traces and fully utilize are rare af anyway.
I think it's really funny that you can cast the killing curse on ppl like harlow and it doesn't actually kill them technically
The bad guys have plot armor
The plot demands he not die so he won't. Interesting they didn't programme someone to jump in his way to take an AK hit like they did with Rookwood later
The AK curse is kinda weird though in that it needs to hit living flesh to actually do anything yet it hits clothing first normally since its intended victim would presumably have clothes on and the clothing is not alive. So it seems only metal barrier/protection will deflect the spell if one was wearing it
and maybe not even then if they are wearing it.
Avada Kedavra doesn't always work.
I mean 10/10 times it hits its victim it does work regardless of what they wear from all we've seen
Like its only block is physical barrier, Sacrifice protection magic, AM magic shield apparently, or another spell directly blocks its energy stream
Yes, but even if it hits, it doesn't always work. You have to wholeheartedly, remorselessly want to take a life; otherwise...well, it's like Bartemius Crouch, Jr. said: The whole DADA classroom could cast the curse at him and he doubted he'd get so much as a nosebleed.
Well that too
but like ur MC if u wish is totally willing to kill
and we know they are anyway cos they do canonically do so in some cases.
Like Rookwood, ya my MC has no issue killing that bastard
But Rookwood was updated to have someone save his arse every time ya try
I don't think there's anything in canon that outright forces our character to not want to kill enemies with it
Right?
Harlow has no excuse other than he needs to live.
With AK, no you don't have to learn the spell.
And canonically its not used in any cutscenes by them
i beat it!
The battle arenas? They're marked on your map, and you need to break 20 vases beforehand to activate it (idk why)
Ah okay
depends on where, some require less than 20
Hey so I'm doing the phoenix den quest and the way forward is locked, and the lock just says "Locked" not level 1 2 or 3??
Do I just need a higher level of Alohomora or..?
The guides I found just say "get rid of the lock"
I've only got level 1 of the spell
You should have the key if you defeated all of the Ashwinders down below
Oh I must've missed it
I've triple checked now and I can't find anyone I haven't killed already
That happened to me once. Had to redo the fight.
Are you sure it's not in your inventory?
I once forgot that lock had a special key and drove myself crazy trying to find a way through without realising I had already picked it up and just had to press F to unlock it
I see an enemy marker but idk where they are and when I walk into the place before the door I get a dueling feats thing about an animagus
I guess I'll restart the thingy
Does it matter if I get them to kill each other?
Do I have to land the final blow on them is that the issue
you have to kill every last one of them, and it'll be in your inventory automatically
Kill them and collect the drops
Okay it worked that time, thank you!
Oh my god I was/am not prepared for the shop quest
It is LATE I went into this thinking "Oh yes I'll buy a shop before I close the game for tonight!"
Words of a NAIVE and INNOCENT man
I must appreciate the quality of shock horror or whatever though..
But why'd it have to be manniquins... I hate manniquins.... I don't like being near them....
My thoughts exactly 😭
Even irl they give me the heeby jeebies
I always feel a presence from them (I know it's just cuz they look like ppl but still feels creepy)
Yeah they're quite unnerving
Gotta admit though, it feels satisfying when I bombarda them to pieces
Less satisfying and more the millisecond I see one I continously cast bombarda for about 15 seconds in all directions
