You know what, every time, I pick up those three chests in vivariums, UI don't pop up, but it counts. And same glitch happenes for every collection chest you open until you restart the game.

Most charms break with their casters death but curses, especially dark ones, can last forever unless the curse can be broken (near impossible) or the original caster removes them.

It’s why blood curses are so awful. They continue in the bloodline even after the original caster is dead.

Plus memories viewed in a Pensieve don’t lock you in place, you can wander around the memory and seen things that you otherwise wouldn’t have from your perspective the memory is from.

Its more accurate that temporal historical events are extracted regardless of the memory owner having knowledge of it or not.

My theory is she specifically worked in the Time Chamber where the DoM studied time. And unfortunately, time magic is notoriously unstable and I believe this was long before time tirners were invented.

Time turners offer a littke more stability, but are still limited for safety.

Time magic without anything helping to stabilise it is unpredictable and dangerous with unknowable effects.

I think He ate is just an unfortunate victim of such an accident .

That’s what I am thinking also now. My original takeaway was it was a curse, but after rewatching the video, I am not sure about that anymore. Question tho, are there any examples of ppl using time as a spell in the Wizarding World? The only examples I can think of involve using a device like you mentioned. Their is also the age potion that was used in GoF.

We’ll Time Turners are just the Hour-Reversal charm stored in a vessel which makes the spell more stable.

Which implies that you could just use the Hour Reversal charm on its own, but be at a high risk of accidents, to both yourself and time.

Before Time Turners we’re created, this was the only method that the DoM studied but it was highly dangerous

Okay so hear me out guys.

1. So in the first game, we are this super special 5th year witch or wizard with Ancient Magic abilities who make their way to Hogwarts and potentially outrank and out achieve other non-ancient magic students and we are able to not just catch up to other 5th, 6th, 7th years but also surpass them. Not to mention cleansing the world of poachers, saving magical beasts and also stopping the Goblin Rebellion that would've potentially threatened the entire wizarding world.

2. So my thought is that for the second game, Natsai goes back to Africa to visit her homeland and school and then lands in some major trouble and writes us the player character a letter to help her out given our close friendship with her. So we the player character make our way to Uagadou Wizarding School in Africa - the largest wizarding school in the world.

Since we were so special in Hogwarts, now in Uagadou, we are the complete opposite, we are the lowest ranked wizard who can't even cast without a wand - crazy i know. At the same time, since this is our 6th year at Hogwarts, we are also learning Non-Verbal Casting at Hogwarts while also learning how to cast without a wand at Uagadou. So even though the majority of the story takes place at Uagadou, we have complete freedom to fast travel back and forth between the 2 major schools. See Assassin's Creed Valaha on how to fast travel between large continents.

3. After helping out Natsai and potentially saving the world again in the 2nd game, we are now 7th year students back at Hogwarts and we receive another letter but this time from Sebastian. Depending upon the final decision made with Sebastian, sebby still decides to leave Hogwarts and attend a smaller lesser known wizarding school. The difference being this wizarding is a primary Dark Arts wizarding school which Seb decided to enroll in after Hogwarts. This time he also lands in trouble and asks for our help. We make our way to this Dark Arts Wizarding...1/2

2/2 We make our way to this wizarding school and since we are already 7th years, we can now explore darker and more mature themes like Romance and Blood and Gore and using dark arts magic more freely. We get to explore all schools and can now fast travel between any 3 of the wizarding schools. We also come full circle with Natsai and Seb since they are our closest companions and we get to save the world 2 more times after Hogwarts becoming the Ultimate wizard in the magical universe

Fig's death in bad end was so underwhelming. I pick bad end for my first playthrough just because I'm curious about his reaction to our choice. I was already spoiled by jerks regarding his fate so I know what's going to happen.
But when it does and the scene ended, I was just "wait what? Is that it??"

Actually, for a major side character, he doesn't really feel major at all. We barely interact with him. We spend more time with the other students, which is good but I prefer him more.
And then most of the game are spend doing trials they insist on being solo 😕

Yah he says the relic will let him control Anne's curse like it lets him control the Inferi. Thats not the same as curing it.

So that indicates it doesn't actually cure curses, just lets its user control dark magic/curses that they didn't originally cast. Dunno how that will work with Anne's curse, I guess it would just let him stop her pain spasms or just stop the curse from killing her but not stopping the effects of it otherwise.

No idea about Charles Rookwood or Niamh Fitzgerald (although given the nature of Niamh’s Trial I could hazard a guess that she specialised in Defence Against the Dark Arts)

I found boulder throw timing to sometimes be harder for some people, as the opportunity disappears after stupefy.

But for flipendo, if you don’t have a tight keyboard/good reflexes, knowing the pattern of attacks (side unblockable, side unblockable, downwards blockable, for example, or lunge lunge strike) really helps to protego at the right time. Once again, release protego BEFORE stupefy.

Natty’s quest line was a bit annoying with how reckless she was. And then there was the cutscene incompetence of the main character. Turning his back on the enemy?! Really? I liked Natty’s epilogue though.

Which house-exclusive quest was your favourite?

It was Hufflepuff for me, hands-down, because it was by far the most atmospheric and the most tragic

Plus, I loved the shock in Fig’s voice when my MC told him she went to Azkaban

Hufflepuff quest is certainly better than Ravenclaw. Touring Azkaban, finding out about the love triangle, and hearing about ministry corruption compared to who stole Ollivanders wand and solving an easy owlery puzzle.

I really really liked Fig tho. He cared for our character a lot and I was pretty upset when he died tbh.

But I’m not annoyed about it, that’s fair enough.

I presumed she was going to go dark and change her name and go by Morgana

Got kinda emotional when Fig and MC said thanks to Hecat for helping us out. It seemed really deeply sincere from both of them 🙂

i want to hear what other people think about a specific point in sebastian's story... did anyone else lose immersion, when sebastian killed his uncle and our mc reacted really indifferent. shouldn't we have reacted... more? It seemed like the whole story builded up to this very moment, a point of no return. This was the biggest part of the story, and all we get is sad music for 20 seconds, as we follow sebastian out the cave, followed by "yOu ToOK It tOo fAr ;S"...

the story portrays us as a rational, healthy minded, young man, but poor writing makes us seem like a sociopath

what you mean? if you mean the dialog option you get after you get out of the cave, that is hardly a satisfying reaction. it is lacking of any emotion

nah, i hated his uncle, old man was annoying with closed mind, when he destroyed the little piramid I knew it was enough and its time to stop him but I thought I will had to do it as MC but well, Sebastian did it so... and in my narrative, helping Sebastian with his problems, exploring the ancient magic and using it against poachers and 'bad guys' did affect my MC A LOT, to the point that uncle Salomon was just another 'problem to solve'. Fights are very dynamic plus emotions about helping Anne can lead to huge rage and overreacting, but this was his peak and he found himself in dead end so he (sebastian) was finally pushed to the edge and my MC had his back

i could definitely see one being satisfied with the indifferent reaction from mc, if you go the edgy route, but that doesnt change the fact that the writing is very disappointing if you want an emotional reaction from our mc. the problem is that the 'healthy minded' route is still a pretty edgy route, mc was like "damn bro, you killed him... thats not cool... i gotta snitch on you now :/"

hmm maybe they wanted to put Sebastian and his feelings at the first place as it was his story mostly and we were just helping so our reaction wasn't that important to show, cuz what I remember Sebastian did had pretty strong reaction to what happened

I think our story was the main story, and I remember MC being destroyed by Fig's death and Black's speech about Fig

I think you have a point. The game could've used more avenues of reaction. The MC definitely has a set personality, it's not as open-ended as some people thought it would be. The MC is low-key, polite, and well-spoken. If we'd have gotten maybe 3 or 4 reaction options, instead of just the usual 2, maybe one of those could've been like a big mad reaction to what happened.

I didn't mind the more quiet observational reaction the MC had, with minimal spoken words, as I think that's more or less how I would have reacted, but it would be awesome if there were other lines like in SWTOR, which is also fully voiced, but has a range of emotions/reactions to things.

The reaction of the MC came off more as like, "whoa, what the hell just happened?" Like, a silent shock, not sociopathic, lol xD

like, im sorry. We had Poppy Sweeting who was just like "I'm the daughter of poachers and now I slice them up between homework assignments." We had Natsai Onai, Ms. "I am 15 years old and i WILL kill a man because I know what he can do." We had SEBASTIAN SALLOW and OMINIS GAUNT, two sides of the same coin when it came to the dark arts, one of whom killed his uncle in a crypt.

And then...Amit Thakkar. A literal nerd in a world where being nerdy makes you more powerful, who was hilarious in that he was quickly humbled by a real goblin when his "self-taught" gobbledeegook got called out for being hot theory garbage, who went on ONE adventure with you that lasted 10 minutes, decided that was all he could take, and was still like "ok but I can still write about this when I get famous right?"

like, i really think the main character was meant to be a ravenclaw (even tho hufflepuff gets the coolest unique quest), because when it comes to the companions, ravenclaw is LACKING

I have this idea for an alternative way from the evil ending. You know how you can only release & take the power using your wand, take a wiff, get red eyes for a second, then nothing happens after that, not in story, not in gameplay. Well what if you use your wand that’s trying to take the power of people’s pain….

And reflect it on yourself

This is a concept I like to think for my character. What if they took the pain to keep inside even them self. This could go three ways

1. They could die
2. Use a possession (I like to think maybe a jewel) to navigate and control the pain.
3. The character is strong enough to consume the constant pain.

Of course if your character absorbs this power it comes with side effects.
I like to imagine your eyes will be permanently changed, something like what happened to Isadora's father's eyes but with black and red. Hearing people's screams and weeps ringing through your ears all the time which feels like a internal crucio that never seems to end, of course you took their pain, so now you have to feel it.

Hi, I've just completed Sebastian's last quest (where he kills his uncle) and I'm battling with myself to either forgive or not. I mean, his uncle was actively trying to kill us in that crypt and was an abuser overall. However, Sebastian did learn the unforgivable curses and used it without remorse. He went against everyone wishes even the one he was trying to save and was willing to put so many people in life threatening situation....

He also ask Ominis to crucio us while being aware of how traumatic that was for him in the past nd imperio him if you don't convince him.

On the other hand, I believe in second chances and not judging people on their worst mistakes and Sebastian seems like a lovely guy overall. He's 15 and has basically no parents whatsoever except for an abusive uncle.

As for the unforgivable curses, while I don't believe in using/learning them, I respect those who do and don't believe that it is always associated to evil. As Harry did learn and use imperio in gringotts and still is a hero....

Soooo, yet, I'm sure it has been debated thousand of times already but I've avoided any kind of spoilers until I get to play myself. So lmk what you guys think

I’m in the camp of Sebastian is just a kid and clearly by the end he realizes he went too far
Sebastian is different from the regular people you find in Azkaban and it would be cruel to send him there if you and ominis can help him to be better

Even if things might never be the same to send him to Azkaban is just…. Inhumane. He’s just a boy.

For me it’s like I can see how he got manipulative and apathetic toward the end and it really just made my character not like him

But they were so strong in the beginning but my mc ends up siding with ominis

We don’t want to loose him but it’s going to take a while for us to forgive him but we love him and can’t be cruel to him

We know that mind control is a thing as like, Ginny got possessed and forced to open the chamber of secrets so I wouldn't be surprised if Sebastian was corrupted by the book and was the perfect one as he was emotionally vulnerable

Yeah it’s def one of those things we’re my mc really loved Sebastian in the beginning and then he just did one too many things that made her question him

And looking back at ominis she realizes that he’s the one that truly deeply cares

And ominis and my mc are the ones that stick together hoping we can still help Sebastian even if he doesn’t necessarily deserve it with everything that happened

I think my mc and ominis hope they can be friends again but yeah it’d take a while

Exactly, like I was digging Sebastian but then realized how sweet Ominis was (even tho I despised him for being all pissy because we were getting to know Sebastian, but I understand him wanting to keep the crypt between them)

I drawed the line at him calling us ignorant and being openly racist towards gobelins and (determinedly) imperioing Ominis....
