sure thing
I’ve pretended to be Sebbys bf only to send him to Azkaban, after he killed his uncle.
There can only be one dark wizard
💀 thats a different kind of evil
🌚💀
I found it silly that harlow used crusio instead of killing curse at the player just so natsai could copy his father but still survive. There was no reason for Harlow not to use the killing curse
I mean do you want natsai do die?
I found it more sillz that when we do the AK pushback with Harlow he doesnt explode like rockwood did
When i had to fight harlow instead of fighting him normally i just AVADA KEDAVR-
From harlows perspective it made no sense really. Felt like it was just to keep natsai alive
I guess your right
I mean...I generalz have NOT ussed any of the unforgivables unless I was alone XD
gotta keep my up apperances
Theres no morality system no one will care
I found it funny that I was spammong curses in the fight where soloman gets mad at Sebastian for using a curse, yet he would have seen me using it
I care
||if you finish your field guide can you do your owls cuz maybe in the future you can grow up and get a job or something||
Whatchu mean?
||I thought the OWLS was cutscene only?||
Dlc you have to take an exam and then attend an interview and get a job
Although it could make for a cool game to play an aura and go out catching dark wizards
Honestly could be fun
To see our character in HL 2 all grow up and working as Auror XD
Thats what i mean
Seems like the only successful jobs in the wizarding world is working in the ministry
I would rather be the dark wizard
If I was at hogwarts id probably be good with magical creatures and persue a career around them
Saaaame XD
Defence against the dark arts would be something I'd be interested in. Herbology and potions I may struggle a bit
I would be utter rubbish at DADA and Potions XD
I would be the best at spell classes mainly defence against the dark arts and charms
We dont really know the inns and outs on these subjects really, for sure snapes potions was cannonly the hardest subject and the hardest to get into newts
I memorized almost every spell in the harry potter universe also made up a spell in my mind
Cuz snape was a major perfectionist ass who hated his job and prolly didnt like kids very much
You needned perfect scores to get into newts I'm pretty sure. Suprised if there many people getting in
Btw the spell i made up is gladius
Its a sword spell that made a sword on your wand so it would be the first ever melee spell
Did anyone sent Sebastian to Azkaban? I don’t know wether I should or not😅
Isn't there melee spell the death waters used on Hermione in Order of the Phoenix?
I couldn’t do it. Not after having been in Azkaban
But I'm also playing an innocent hufflepuff who can't believe some one would dare use such a spell
Same xD
Is there any way to stop Sebastian from killing his uncle or is that something that always happens?
Always happens :/ I sided with ominis every time my 2nd playthrough
Uncle still got killed
nah unfortunately not :(( (i didnt care about his lore i just wanted the curses)
I thought we will get the curse to kill sebastian lol
I only sided with Sebastian to get the curse. After that I sided with Ominis cuz why not
imagine if he was to become the main villain and have a Isidora type arc 😮
same ! xd
I kinda need help fast, i'm at the end battle with ranrok dragon- and i have to destroy this green orb but how tf do i break it
green? only ones that show in that battle are purple, red, yellow...how tf is yours green?
well it's yellow then, how do i destroy it
with yellow spells
You use one of the yellow spells any one
how did u got so far and dont know it xD
That's my thoughts because in the trials you have to do that same thing to the pensieve sentinel boss that creates a yellow and purple orb
Damn
I love this game but I do wish our choices had more impact on what happens and that we could make more choices
You dont get the curse if sided with Ominis?
idk it was right after he killed his uncle and I only agreed with Sebastian just so I could learn it
i just finished the main quest.. is there any more main quests coming in an update? 🥲
don't know what happens if you side with Ominis
I sided with ominis until back to the undercroft and didnt get the curse lol. I'll continue tomorrow.
was that after he killed his uncle ?
Is there a way to keep Seb from killing his uncle?
Yes, he left the catacomb after killed his uncle and reunited at undercroft
oh then idk might have to youtube that
Maybe it has something to do with our choice. I remember answered Seb that 'killing curse shouldn't be used by everyone'. But who knows.
Bro how tf do i level up faster. I'm lvl 32 and I want to play the house cup question and I need lvl 34 for it. Any tips?
one more channel maby ?
?
you wrote that on 5 channels at least
eyy I finished the story, glad I didn't turned Sebastian in for Anne's sake
I wrote it on 3 channels and I'll continue to do so as to make my gaming experience as comfortable as I can.
You need to get more field pages, only way to level up
If you choose the shouldn't be used by everyone after he kills his uncle you will not learn avada kedavra......you will have another chance though......when you go back to the undercoft you have to choose not to report Sebastian....that is the only way
Unfortunately there isnt
anyone else wanted to fight Headmaster Black ? 😂
aw crap
Hi, I finished the game and wanted to vent and talk. But it seems that there is a Slow Mode.. Kinda sad.
Vent my man.
Anyone may tell me, what curse do we learn first between Imperio and Killing curse, please
imperio is first. Then crucio then ak
It’s crucio first, then imperio and then avada kedavra
itsn imperio first?
No that was Crucio
Thank you btw
eitherway ak is 100% last haha
lmao fair enough
My venting got flagged. Idk if it's because of some spoiler or explicit word which I censored I think.
EDIT: Can I tag mods to look into it?
Yikes
@iron rain maybe shorten it?
1223 chars
Anyone else have a problem with the secret door in Rococo quest to get the fire block and the dorr is not revealing itself?
Wait.. where in the tomb or whatever are you exactly?
Your pfp is perfect
i didnt know that
always wondered how to break the orb
Where you get the 2 stones to open the door. Theres a door under the painting that should open up but its not.
Hmm can you send a screenshot? @frail igloo
no, crucio first, then imperio, the ak
Fax. Because you use crucio to open the door to get the book which teaches him the other curses
yup
yep one moment
Hold up do we get to keep the invis cloak?
no we dont keep anything from deaths hallow
oof
ye i wanted the wand so bad cuz mine is ugly i regret doing it that way
Mine was pretty nice, fortunately mods exists, I have the elder wand as a wand even tho mine was already pretty nice
the only mod that i would like to install is that i dont need to make the alohomora quiz cuz its so boring every time i explore
Seeing bakar casting the killing curse was so shocking to me and it didnt phase the others
I have a mod that makes you have the elder wand as a wand and it's compatible with handles if you want to
seeing sebastian kill his uncle
Honestly his uncle deserved it he literally killed anne without actually killing her
If he just used the killing curse before he destroyed it, it would’ve helped
idk what to think his lore was not explained too much
omg yes!! I was sitting there with my mouth open
SAME hahahahhaa
I have that one, its pretty neat.
yes I was like wtf?? did I really just witness that? But i also dont think it was a unforgivable curse at that point in time yet?
Yehhh same and i wondered who even created that
the defenders did nothing about him they didnt give a shi that he used it
they just kinda looked like him like "oh, alright"
Herpo the Foul one of the first dark wizards
id go dark too with a name like Herpo 💀
lmao
Oh i seeeee
It wasn't unforgivable yet at that time, just strongly uncool
whose gonna tell? they needed to hide the ancient magic they can't exactly arrest him and tell people what happened even if it was unforgivable
Lol did azkaban even existed in the end of 1700?
made a prison somewhere in the 1700s besides there were other prisons
Guys
Am I a bad influence on Sebastian because I want to learn Avada Kedavra or did he pretty much made up his mind on his path because he wants to save his sister?
seb will not stop trying to save his sister no matter what
In the big reptile fight, what bothers me is that I did not get to save the hippogriff or even the goat before leaving and there were no option to do so either. Game, why you evil?
I get the flames and ruins, but still though,.
Okay, might as well learn the killing curse in the process
Sebastian is lowkey acting reckless though, and this probably won’t end well
A Thief in the Night: Haven't seen this is any of the walkthroughs not sure if it is or isn't known, the named Niffler, "The Ironale Pilferer" can be placed in your Vivarium, prior to turning in the quest, and kept as a named beast. I'm unsure if there's a shiny variant.
You can also just keep him as a dialogue option and then put him in the vivarium. Pretty sure I did it that way anyway
I'm replaying the story, and Solomon really annoys me. I get that they're trying to portray him as a "realist", but he really acts like an a-hole that thinks even trying to find a solution is stupid. there's a fine line between "accepting a bad situation" and "being a huge a-hole and expecting a teenager just to ACCEPT watching his sister slowly die."
he acts like those kinds of adults that say they know what's best and it's their way or the highway and refuse to even listen to an outside opinion because if it's not their's it's automatically wrong
Yeah he deserved what he got lol
I wouldn't go that far, he deserves a broken nose, but I don't think Death is warrented
At least it was painless death and he wasn't tortured
as well I've said before, the man was actively trying to kill Sebastian and the Player, he might not have been using the unforgivables, but he wasn't being non lethal.
Not like we froze him, exploded him, set him on fire & cut him beforehand
if Anne arrived before Sebastian cast the killing curse, she wouldve seen her uncle being a nutjob
Exactly
Man, Anne sure made short work of the remaining inferi. Torches them all with one incendio.
ngl they kept spoiling like..the most mundane easily seen from a mile away story beats of this game
only interesting unexpected parts for me were ak cutscene moments, 3rd trial, and polyjuice
I really disliked him but idk the whole story was kinda super weird
As if Sebastian had no other spells to use than Imperio and Avada Kedavra, feels like super forced just to get you to learn them. The Curcio part was still making sense with the story but the rest of the story felt kinda forced to somehow have something that give you those spells 😄
Is there any reason why you can't Avada Kedavra the final boss?
think you’re just supposed to assume he’s extremely powerful so that spell won’t work on his form
Just like the game giving you beam battles when other people cast it.
Is shadow of friendship the last Sebastian mission ?
WILL someone help me with modding
Yea ofc I can, dm me
tysm i just dmed
I have a question. If I learn all the dark arts spells, can I team up with Ranrok and Rookwood?
Lol. You’d have to learn a spell to become a goblin for Ranrok to be okay with a team up.
bro legit is the devil
No not that much player choice. There is only one ending
i spent so much time decided wether i should have turned sebastian in
Moral dilemma done, I chose not to turn him in because he taught me dark magic.
It’s not the right thing to do, but I love Sebastian
Why would you turn him in if you were actively learning the curses aswell. That's not the right thing if you are involved too
You would be equally as guilty
well you can't go killing people other than dark wizards who are trying to kill you so there is a difference, you are learning it to help save the world
ngl the ending was disappointing because there truly wasnt a difference between the good/bad endings
only decision that changes anything is to send seb to prison, which really doesn't change much because the game ends there anyway
The first time I tried AK on him, I saw a quick message that said that it doesn’t work on dragons.
yeah it was just like a moral hit for sending him to prison or not. it felt like learning and using all te unforgivable spells didnt really mean much
Do i need to side with sebastian in the catacombs to learn avada kedavra? when talking to ominis
If seb goes to prison, we should too.
That is if you weren't denying dark arts
seb used ak to kill a civilian, we use it to save the world there is a big difference. even the keepers know ak. and who is going to put you in jail? you were referred to hogwarts by the ministry for having special ancient magic affinity and you are treated specially at hogwarts. they not going to lock you up especially since you save the world. thats a big difference from killing your uncle randomly
i need more understanding about the uncle, he doesnt seem to be a bad guy so why was he actin crazy
something to do with why he left his job?
he knows the dangers of dark magic, he knew seb was going down a dark path and could cause severe consequences for himself, anne, the nearby village, and anyone else near seb
Woe woe woe, ok then that changes it. He is definitely guilty
yeah but he's still my homie
did he think bring down seb (KO/kill) would stop things happening? cause it was weird he was so focused on bringing us down when the inferi were popin up like crazy
I can't stand by that. Who knows what else he'd do
yeah i think the uncle was a wizard cop or whatever and also used some dark magic himself at one point. so those 2 things gives him first hand experience he probably witnessed a lot of stuff going wrong with dark magic. seb was controlling the inferi, he wasnt trying to kill seb, he wanted to stop seb. he threatened to tell on seb which would have very bad consequences for seb probably going to prison, but it was a bluff and he showed up to stop seb himself because he didn't want to see his nephew in jail
whatever dark arts seb does, its nothing compared to the dark art of turning on your friend, thats the most horrible crime
the situation is so frustrating and sad.. i wish they all could have a happy ending..😭
honestly i had the same idea as anne, seb should pay and the uncle didn't deserve that, but cant bring myself to tell and have seb in jail cuz i still care about him
Then you are an accomplice in murder
Cold blooded murder
im on a quest to slaughter 100 goblins and 100 dark wizards, sebs uncle is small time compared to my murders
🤣
Lololololol
Yea ... game logic there doesn't hold
We should all go to prison, made up my mind
Was sebs uncle unarmed? Wand away. I guess, was he in anyway a threat to seb's life
Was it a life or death situation
Because I will say the difference would be, they want to kill you
But like how does someone "accidentally" use avada kedavra?
Idk I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to turn him in
I'm assuming the uncle jumped in front or something
Knowing seb ... he wouldn't use it by accident
Did you not play that part yet?
Nope, huge spoiled so but that's on me
Why are you in this channel? Lol
Someone who would use that spell so carelessly to accidentally murder a civilian that was not doing any harm to him. That act itself makes him guilty
And idk man, I'm bored XD
Yeah I mean he wasn't at that very moment but in order to stop him, the first thing he thought to use was that for some reason
And then he was like "I panicked, I didn't know what else to do"
Spell aside whatever spell he used he still murdered in unarms well not unarms but a civilian that has had no intention of causing harm it was not life or death so he murdered
But if the uncle did have intent to kill ... then that's different
Also if he actually did that accidentally he shouldn't be allowed to exist in the world with the knowledge he knows
Yeah no, his uncle didn't
You can't use avada kedavera accidentlly. Like all the unforgivables you have to mean it.
He may regret his decision but he certainly meant it at the time. That's why I feel like he's in the wrong. I don't think turning him in would be the best idea though. We should have made him swear an unbreakable vow! Make him vow to never use dark magic again unless it's used to save someones life at no cost to anyone else unless they are the ones trying to kill. Like how he used imperio.
Right so I don't know how this game expects me to defend him
Like Ominous says "poor Sebastian" as if I should empathise
Exactly seb has used the dark art spells When he didn't even have to when he could use anything else but he chose to use those spells
Can you make an Unbreakable Vow in this game? Does that happen or does he just get away scott free?
Well. He had to use crucio to get out of that chamber. And I'd argue the imperius curse was warranted despite depulso probably being sufficent to protect anne. And no. The vow isn't in the game as far as I'm aware. But it'd be a cool hidden option. Like you learn it in the library or in the restricted section and if you learn it as the conditional you can have seb swear on it either you or Ominius officiating the vow.
No I'm fine with the usage of spells, I honestly don't care who uses them and intent should be looked at. In fact, I think them being unforgivable never made much sense to me but anyway, I personally decided not to learn them because I don't care to. And I agree that it was warranted in those areas but here? It was really uncalled for. Like he really couldn't think to use any other spell? Avada kedavra is really the first thing that comes to mind? I don't know, this whole plot line kinda went sideways imo.
Well, the way he used imperio was un warranted.
But I agree, it would be cool to have the vow as an option
Yeah. It was pretty brutal. He could have just had the goblin throw away his weapon.
Yeah actually you're right there, that was a stretch there too but still, it's somewhat defendable
Whereas here, it's just kinda ridiculous
Somewhat yeah. What I wish you could do is use imperio if you learn it in diolauge. That'd be cool as diolauge options
Alright I think I've made up my mind
I'm turning him in
The problem I have with that is azkaban is like 100 on a ascale of punishment out of 10. He's a first time offender, and still a minor. While the road to hell is paved with good intentions I still think azkaban is too harsh. The ministry should make him take an unbreakable vow to never use dark magic again. He was trying to save his sister and while it doesn't justify his actions I think they should put them into context.
Solomon is such a hypocrite tho. Killing him is a bit extreme but he never gave us a chance to talk it out peacefully anyway.
yea... his uncle wasn't doing much for seb and was only focusing on anne
Well yeah the punishment doesn't fit the crime but what's to stop him from doing it again apart from the vow? It kinda sucks how limited the options are here, it's either 0 or 100 and nothing in between
And he didn't do anything for Anne either. If everything had gone his way Anne would have been killed by the goblin already
Absolutely true. Stubborn to the end, no room for talk. A wall. So yeah, the situation got as bad as it did because he wouldn't just sit down and talk. Maybe if he explained to sebastian the cost of dark magic it coulda ended differently.
they all needed another adult to help their situation 😕
The vow is that middle ground. It prevents him from going to literal wizard hell, if you played the hufflepuff quest an innocent woman was changed into something else! No one except the worst of the worst sbould be sent there!
Still. Maybe injure him, put him in St. Mungos for a bit and do your thing in the meantime. I just wish there was more here. I understand this is just a game and a side mission at that but if they're trying to make it about mortality, they should allow for more options.
Besides, it's not the dark art that fractures the soul. It's the act of murder. Judging by our body counts our soul is already as fractured as it gets lmao
I know it is but there is no vow option here. So what's best? Let him go and make a head canon that allows for him to make the vow even though it doesn't actually happen?
i dont want to send my friend there >.<
I would hope that if we turn him in he wouldn't go to azkaban but I know it's wishful thinking since they sent that girl from the hufflepuff quest there. I just wish the vow was an option. Cause it's arguable that death would be better than azkaban, which is the consequence for breaking the vow.
maybe the vow could have been a possibility were there another adult in the picture.. but as kids the moment we let the secret out there would be no choice but sending him off
i mean report him in, secret is not proper xD
Yeah. True. Too bad we couldn't get fig to help, sebastians quest and the main quest are kinda intertwined since morganach is involved in the quest.
Yeah I probably still will, it's not like there's any real consequences here anyway
It also felt weird how one side quest mission he'd be trying something or would be angry and then when you do the main quest with him, he's totally cool depending on the order you do it in
He did alter his dialog a bit, saying he's glad we can put aside the goblin friend argument for a moment
I sent him to jail but I feel like I wouldn’t have if Sebastian really had killed his uncle in self-defense or the heat of the moment, we’d already beaten Solomon — but also I was considering what he might do in the future? From what I saw here, he was still pretty cheery about teaching the unforgivables even after everything that went down, and he definitely wasn’t/isn’t going to stop going to such lengths to help Anne either
That cutscene felt so weird to me. He was obviously in shock of what he has done and yet when we lead him on a bit he happily teaches us the killing curse
Yeah, it felt forced like the game shoehorned it in.
And our options are limited too. Either telling him "No one should use avada kedavra" or "You've done nothing wrong, keep going."
😮💨 I feel like he might wind up killing ominis or maybe even Anne in the future if we let him go
I hope they do sequels for the sixth and seventh years 😂 there’s still so many unanswered questions
I don't think so. All he's done is out of his will to help Anne, and Solomon has proven himself to be an obstacle time and again.
While we seem divided on what we should do, I think we all agree that the writing here is a bit... lacking, to say the least.
ooo~ make you regret your decision to not send him would be interesting to find out
I don’t think he’d necessarily do it on purpose, but he might lose control over whatever he tries to do next
Yesss — or alternatively, regret your decision to send him
I don't think he can do anything next. The book is destroyed and the relic is destroyed. There's really nowhere else to go.
There's always more source of power that may undo Anne's curse
we havent explored ancient magic to help anne
But could the curse have lifted after Victor Rookwood died?
Yeah I don’t think he’d stop 😬 it sounds like I don’t like him but I’m so torn because I really really do like him 😂 I wish there was a way we could get through to him
was there something solomon knows why he so believed she couldnt be cured?
I honestly thought we could have the choice to do what Isadora did and remove Anne's pain, risking her to become soulless emotionless husk
That would have been cool, depending on the ending you got can effect the outcome
thought about that too but maybe tweak it if we could
That's the direction I thought we were gonna go in
Because it actively relates to the main story and Seb has shown his interest in it
Now that I think about, ancient magic is the like a natural force of the universe, like natural disasters, or gravity. I can't imagine a curse that wasn't ancient magic, resisting ancient magic.
I really dislike him a lot but don't think he deserves to die. In the tomb I tried so hard to subdue him with stupefy and expelliamus even though I know none of what we do matters in this game
I do wish our choices mattered a little more and that there was more of a morality system in the game
same. tried to destroy the other enemies only..
I'd really hope for a dishonored style kill-count system that ties into how we deal with enemies
You could tell he loved Sebastian too 🥲 he was trying hard to get through to him in his own way
Yeah or at the very least was more robust in those choices, like having multiple options instead of the only 2 we get
Omg I thought the same. I thought if we only destroyed the inferi and only defended ourselves from solomon we could outlast him!
I did that. Burned all the inferi but he won't stop attacking me. He doesn't even care about the inferi surrounding us
I was like 😳 when I realized that too 😂 inferi all around us but he didn’t let that bother him one bit
Sadly yeah. Doesn't even care the inferi attack sebastian. However I wish we could learn the curses other ways. They had a copy of magiks most foul in the restricted section and I'm certain the unforgivables were in there!
Him destroying the relic that prevented the inferi from rushing us was quite the facepalm.
If only Sebastian listened to us and do his researches before trying to use the relic...
Alright after being almost firm with my thoughts, I ended up choosing the latter
no inbetween everyone or no one should learn was iffy too
I wish learning the curses actually had some impact on your character — the game doesn’t treat you any different whether you’re casting stupify to take down enemies or the imperius curse 🤷♀️
I don't think the killing curse is the problem there, it's the murder
And I used crucio in front of professor fig at one point. He didn't care one bit.
Just a bit of light torture before a stroll around the castle
I think the only, truly unfogivable curse is the cruciatus curse, causing that much pain, intending to do so, and enjoying it? I can't see to many situations where it's waranted.
But still better than physical torture? Similar to how waterboarding is more humane than kneecapping or beating the torturee
Doesn't harm the victim that much unless you use it extensively like what Bellatrix did
I think the killing curse should only be taught to a select few and regulated heavily. Used only in self defence when it's the only option left. See, the only times I can think I would use the cruciatus curse is on poachers, ranrok and rookwood. Those people I feel deserve it. But even the poachers I'm iffy on. We don't know the circumstances that led them to poach, some people could be driven to it out of financial desperation or other similar drastic situations. We don't know, I'm just glad all the poachers I've encountered had diolauge that made them seem as if the didn't need to poach, and were doing it with enjoyment.
Notably there are some unwilling accomplices that were blackmailed into joining the ashwinders if you read the description of some infamous foe
Yeah, the killing curse can be justified. If you rely on subduing enemies with stupify in a big battle the enemy can revive their friends with a counter curse. Where Avada is known to be unavoidable.
Exactly. We don't know the circumstances of everyone. Only harlow, rookwood, and ranrok, I would personally use crucio.
The aversion to killing curse is so strange. Like slicing, burning, blowing up people are fine. But an instant, painless kill crosses the line?
Objectively I like that but subjectively I think the killing curse is so infamous that the incantation probably just gets around naturally? I.e. you’d probably have stupid kids trying it out and giving someone a nose bleed but I’m sure some people would blurt it out in dire circumstances and then you’ve always got more unscrupulous people in the world
Like in game I was kind of wondering why we needed Sebastian at all, we already heard rookwood fling it at us
I believe it either works and kill the victim, or does nothing at all. What Barty Crouch Jr said was "You can all point your wand and say the incantation but I doubt it would even give me a nose bleed"
So what he meant was that the incantation would do nothing because no one actually wants to kill him
I felt sad for lodgok 🥲
Who else kinda wanted to get kidnapped by Rookwood and ranrok 💀 bc I Lowkey kinda did lol
And it also requires a hefty amount of skill, let's not forget that. It's a difficult spell.
The game made every spell look so easy to cast. It's just wand movement and incantation while in fact most spells take a bunch of practice
I think he was referring to crucio but yeah agreed
Our ancient magic makes learning a breeze. Heh.
His death was too forced for me to feel sad about. If he went to the mine to destroy the drill he shouldn't have brought the journal. Or can't he just give us the journal before heading to destroy the drill?
Yeah hopefully they’ll continue to improve if they do produce more content 😮💨 I kinda felt the same way about Miriam, it would have been nice to learn more about her, would have made the final scene more impactful
Does forcibly disapparating with you counts as kidnapping?
Kinda forgot that happend lmao 💀
All the unforgivables really.
I was caught off guard by the dark turns taken in some parts because children play this game too but then I remember that there were some dark parts in the original hp series too 😂
Tbh like avada kedavra shouldnt be unforgivable in some cases like, if your being attacked by people and about to die I say you have the right to kill them yk?
No spell should be illegal. Making the unforgivable curses illegal won't stop dark wizards from using them, but now other wizards and witches have no knowledge about how it works
I whole heartedly agree with this. It's like the gun restriction argument. Just because you take away the right for law abiding citizens to carry doesn't mean criminals won't find a way to get guns.
Also is it weird that we can cross beam with Rookwood's and Harlow's avada kedavra without twin core, priori incantatum or wand ownership issue? Wasn't the killing curse supposed to be unblockable?
Yeah, Harry showed that Imperio can be stopped by willpower and practice. So it should be taught how to combat it.
I chalked it up to ancient magic lol
Maybe we used expelliarmus and it rebounded ??? 😂😂😂
But then again some people cough Sebastian cough abuse it and they are the people who make unforgivable curses unforgivable. But I do think that crucio is pretty unforgivable bc you shouldn't do that spell unless you are really trying to hurt someone badly without killing them, exhibit A: harlow
Honestly I like the idea of spell clashes like that. It's really cinemeatic even though it makes no sense? Like what are you pushing? Is like force that pushes it, are you pushing your wand to push the struggle or is it like a battle of wills? Who knows.
Not really abuse in that case. He had made the choice to kill Solomon in that moment and he will do so with or without the killing curse.
Js cus I'm curious do u think he should've killed Solomon or not?
Like I said earlier, he is a hypocrite through and through, and has been an obstacle to finding a cure for Anne even before our arrival.
That said I don't think he deserves to die
Maybe that’s why? 🤔 because the killing curse is supposed to be unavoidable so if he’d used a different curse maybe Solomon could have lived? Calling them unforgivables definitely makes most reasonable people think twice about ever considering using them tho which is good ?? I guess ??
Makes reasonable people think ‘no, never, I don’t want to end up in that hellish prison with the emotion eaters.”
Well, one of the reason their considered unforgivable is because avada kedavra cannot be blocked with magical means like protego and there is not counter curse. However, it can be dodged and one can put obstacles in the way of it's projectile like stone and whatnot.
St. Mungles have good healers so I guess most of the spells in the wizarding worlds are non lethal, making avada kedavra one of the exception. I doubt confringo or diffindo would have killed as instantly.
But in the game that's a different story coz we're just dropping bodies left and right
Yep, we bombard people, slam them around, turn them into chickens, and even chain Avada to hit multiple people. Lol. That was such a hax skill.
Then in that case it's just a rather authoritarian government threatening citizens with extreme punishment for violating their laws without sufficient moral or social bases for such laws
I do think there are spells that sound as horrific as crucio, so calling those three in particular unforgivables does sound a lil arbitrary sometimes — like I remember an entrail-expelling curse?? And then there was sectumsempra, etc
Remember, we're special in that regard because of our ancient magic. It gives us an edge when it comes to magic, making it so much more powerful than that of a regular wizard. Professor rokham explains that to us. That's what the talent system is.
I was confused the first time I turned someone into a chicken 😂
What's sectumsempra? Some kind of spell that hasn't been invented yet lmao? But honestly it's worse than crucio because it physically injures the victim
Yeah, I agree about the government. Too bad it’s not going to change anytime soon.
Not for 200 years at least, I suppose
🥺 maybe they won’t keep him in Azkaban for very long
When I'm wondering the Slytherin dungeon I just have this urge of bringing Ominis into the bathroom and asking him to speak "open" in parseltongue
Now, the magic isadora used. That seems so much more beneficial. She went overboard but it's application was clear. Taking away someones pain. As long as it doesn't take away ones entire capability to feel pain, we need to feel pain as humans, it's just a part of us, but able to alleviate it. All the good it could do. Think about taking away the pain of someone sucidally depressed?! That's a perfect application, she just went crazy with it. If practised in a safe and guided envirmoent it could have been a good thing.
Especially after I found out there's a special field guide page about the toilet sink
From what I saw in the story, it didn’t seem like the keepers were entirely against it at first?? But then isadora went off the deep end and they just collectively went nope
If the keepers had not been so reluctant in accepting her proposal she would not have worked on that magic alone, in secret, without any peer to discuss with
The problem is the harm of practicing. How many people will turn into emotionless husks in the practice period?
Did y’all see the field guide about the bath tub that got locked up 😂
Exactley, she did it without people's consent! Consent is always required with something invasive like this. I don't know why they seemed so repulsed by it. They should have studied it with her, instead of rebuffing her like that.
Wizards do get into the mindset that all change is bad.
Ooooo going into this, this sounds terrible and I 100% do not think muggleborns steal magic from magical children, but it does ??? Kind of lend credence to the idea that magic can be stolen???
Also very true. Testing it is also a very large problem. My idea for that would be testing it on azkaban prisoners but that's also kinda morally a big no no. But it's not putting their actual lives at risk, and making these dangerous witches and wizards husks seems more desireable than azkaban.
Should have gone with the whole operation consent form and it would have been fine. And there are always test subject in the medical field. As long as they consent to it there's not much problem. It's not like her father is recovering or anything.
Like everyone in the books acted like the idea that magic could be transferred from one person to another or stolen was absurd, but— isn’t that what she did ??
Voldemort would have had a field day
Yeah, most things are preferable to Azkaban.
I don't think so. She tore emotion from a person, and that emotion imparted power. And even then, I think it only worked because she was capable of using ancient magic. Using ancient magic to do that changed, fundamentally, on a universal scale, how that person worked, taking their pain.
🤔 I wish we had more context on what ancient magic is, they never even explained the weird fifth year thing
I have a theory that we (ancient magic users) are actually muggles who come into contact with ancient magic and were given power at a later stage of age. Thus the late admittance.
Damn I wish I could see if those students abilities to use magic were affected now 😂😂 I’m even having vague thoughts of like when Tonks was going thru emotional upheaval, she was having trouble connecting to her magic — would lack of emotion cauSe the same issue ?
Rackham helped Feldcroft with his ancient magic and years later Isadora from Feldcroft is admitted. Might not be a coincidence.
It would be terrible if we weren’t muggles and just thought of as squibs until that point.
That too, we might have been squibs from wizarding family
This sounds interesting, but, then why wasn't it said like that? In all honesty, we know nothing about our character before the oppening scene. We don't know their parentage, their background, nothing. And, to add icing to the cake, their are muggle born witches and wizards with both muggle parents!! Like hermine. I don't think blood purity indicates magic power either, hermine was a powerful witch. I think blood just means a better fore education!
With the lack of answers provided I’m hoping that it’s pointing towards sequel content 😂 like maybe it was left open ended on purpose
That's just typical RPG blank sheet start trope that allow us to fill in whatever we want before the story begins. I named my character Diggory and thought of him as a squib until fifth year.
God I hope so. Otherwise, there were a whole hell of a lot of holes in the writing. A sequel would be nice. And it'd be cool to meet dumbledor as a first year.
Awww baby dumbledore
But also, I found the whole "keeping ancient magic a secret" thing arrogant and backward. Powers like that, whether other wizards can see or not, should be further studied and understood.
Ancient magic is basically what half of the department of mystery has been studying for ages.
Well, from what we learned, only a select few people can use it at all. You have to be able to see traces first. I assume it's an inate ability, like isadora when she was younger. I imagine it may be genetic. Like a freak mutation in the wizarding gene. Remember witches and wizard sare slightly physiologically different from muggles, their bodies apperatw differently and even have longer average lifespans.
I kinda agree with the keepers, I don’t think it’s something that should be toddled around without serious consideration — one of the endgame choices sounds like the protag may be open to that kinda thing tho
I feel like he should take the power from the repository, if only so it doesn't fall into another ranrocks hands. Taking extreme caution as our protagonist does so of course. Who knows what all of those emotions can do to a person, but with significant preperation and study it can be contained and used for a good purpose.
I would probably commissioned hundreds of those smaller containers we saw in Isadora's memory and then try and split up the repository for further study
That poses even more risk though, while not as concentrated as the first two repositories they would be sought out with murderous intent like the elder wand, the elder wand was sought after the most ruthless and evil wizards and witches, imagine what those people would do to get their hands on power that could fundamentally alter the universe? Terrifying to even think. I do wonder now though, what could the elder wand be capable of if wielded by someone who could use ancient magic?
Sorry, I'm not discrediting your idea, I'm just thinking of the potential ramifications outloud.
No worries, it's reasonable concerns. But then my reasoning would be that we will not be able to protect and hold a single power forever. Even artefact as strong as the elder wand keeps changing hand because of how many people chasing after it. If we split it up no matter who have it, the consequences would not be so devastating
It had to have gone somewhere 🤔 unless it’s been destroyed — maybe it actually is in the department of mysteries in more modern times
Although I do say the power of the elder wand is rather exaggerated in history. It's the strongest wand that keeps losing. And its loyalty so fragile that it may switch side for the pettiest reason. Imagine a guy beating the wand owner in wizard chess, bam, now they're the rightful owner.
Can’t imagine dumbledore not messing with it if he knew it was beneath the school (would black not tell him? Hmmm)
well just finished the game and i came away... confused...
Harry Du Bois being confused? Can't say I'm surprised
so
ann is unsavable
there's basically no consequences to using unforgivable curses even if you use them multiple times in front of professors
no matter what your intentions are, you dont seem to be able to do anything w the powers other than leave them the way they were
and i guess now its spring and its side quest finishing time
Yep
i mean i feel like i should have more thoughts, except... i don't... also every death kind of felt meaningless
plus i don't really understand if we're supposed to have sympathy for goblins or not... apparently they're both genocidal wizard hitlers but also they were treated like slaves forever? and their main crime is believing in the labor theory of value?
There's a term for what you're experiencing. It's called ludonarrative dissonance.
this game is weird because its both impossible to be "evil" in terms of narrative (unless you use the killing spell, but its canon everybody you use that spell against dies anyway, so whats the point) and impossible to be good, because you have to execute like several dozen people at the minumum to be able to progress through the story
That's something that always bothered me. I think the elder wand exhibits it's true potential in the hands of extraordinary wizards, like grindlewald and dumbledore.
And I think we're supposed to think of goblins how we think of other wizards and witch, understanding that there are good wizards and bad wizards, good goblins and bad goblins
and then at the end you call them beasts who deserved to die so... the racism seems pretty ingrained, if thats a metaphore that was intentional
Well Ragrok's lot are beasts who deserved to die, and so are Rookwood's crew and Harlow's
But lodgok didn't deserve to die I don't think. There are good goblins too.
right he just died because... ???? i genuinely don't understand what happened
The main character doesn’t, from what I’ve seen— they’re specifically against the loyalists only and even then they seem to show some sympathy for them— characters like Sebastian straight up hate goblins but that’s the point of his character
Guys
I’m lowkey scared to start this mission: “Minding Your Own Business”
… any advice? 😱
"im going to confront ragrok, but bring the one thing he must never have with me, in case i run into the child!"
He died of stupidity. Why would he bring the journal into the mine when he's trying to destroy a drill and knows that he may not come back alive.
I liked him 🥲
Yes. Switch to PC
the writers seem to assume you would feel emotional about him, even though you only spoke with him 3 times, total
My thought exactley. I was wondering what was going through his head honestly.
Never! 😂
i have a bunch of quests still to do but ima shelf the game for now while i wait to get a new graphics card, as my 1060 seems to be made of potatium
Honestly I would, if not for the weird and awkward cutscene where he hands Ragrok the last piece of the puzzle
as far as i know he has practically no magical powers - its also not explained why ragnok is radicalized and he isn't
I was sad but I agree that they could have built it up more 😂 I felt like that with a couple of characters
Ragnok was beaten and bullied by young wizards when he was young? I thought something like that happened and he grew up to hate wizardkinds
i also wasn't a huge fan that they shoehorned in you being excellent with animals - like i understand that it was necessary for the story to progress, but again, the fact that your character has a huge love for cute animals and tries to save them makes it literally impossible to rp evil
Besides, Lodgok was radical too before he ran into Miriam
i don't really understand the point of choosing a house either - given that all 4 houses i assume act literally identically
It’s different because hufflepuff gets Azkaban 😂
Yeah, he was beaten half to death just for trying to return a wizards wand that he accidentally dropped. It's hard to like wizard kind with the deep ingrained racism.
That's one of my nitpick too. How we have lessons with all 4 houses
iirc its canon that there's house mixing in the courses
Yea, but I thought 2 houses are paired up to have each lesson?
The class size is super small for all those houses learning together but idk if that would be accurate
I thought each house would get different sets of quests but there's only a difference in the jackdaw quest where you have different things to do. The hufflepuff quest being the best with azkaban.
I was kind of excited when I introduced myself to my housemates in the common room, but then it doesn't even matter
I kind of thought the house choice would influence your choice of companion
Like of you picked slytherin, the story would focus on Sebastian, natty for gryffindor, etc
Would have enjoyed the game more if they cut all the highland, or even the main quest, but add in more detailed quests and relationships in school
Like house cup, separate relationship with each character, better day-night cycle, lessons, curfew, consequences for being caught, etc
honestly my favorite part was using the killing spell on the spider - it was so anticlimactic to 1 shot it hahahaha
At that point I could confringo one-shot a spider already
I feel like if they took a couple more months to bake the story and quests they may have been a little better.
yeah, the story rly was 99% "run around the massive highlands, spend 20 seconds in class watching a cutscene" - they made classes legit on day 1, and then they're like "well you've had your lot"
The current house cup was such a pull. Another last minute cup stealing with an absurd amount of points.
Just need a bully style school system. Each day have one or two classes you have to attend. Or skip and lose out on bonus/spells/stats/house points
I think my favorite part was where you get polyjuiced as black and you walk around the castle 😂😂😂
Yea I walked around trying to find more people to talk to. What do you think Black's "cure for boils" that Sharp made for him actually is?
Soooo true. I wish you could earn actual house cup points. But through like actions in game. Rescuing beasts and other things.
I mean the boss spider from that side mission w the watch
Black's in charge, so guess which house is winning?
I almost cried laughing when professor sharp mentioned that
iirc there were no consequences to any of that tho
I wish we could have seen the poor student who delivered it
And you can use the podium as Black to switch the great hall decor to your house's color
The poor student probably was a hero for finding out that piece of gossip.
The house points were you know what, those students were standing around clapping at nothing, none of the gems were even falling down in those hour glasses
I was disappointed to come back to the great hall and see that they took my slytherin banners down 😢
this game feels... almost confused? like it was supposed to be another game turned into hp
Guys!
Should I open the chest in the “Mind Your Business” quest??
Tell me what to do 😱
I don’t remember that one 😂
between the absurd pc requirements, lack of focus on the daily life, relationship, etc, confusing ethics structure - it doesn't really feel like hp should feel
Ps5 exclusive quest, and I am on PC, so yoyo
It’s supposed to be the scary one
I loved the game personally, feels like a good start for the portkey games studio, agreed that some aspects need work tho
Walking the hall of hogwarts do give me a sense of wonder that I have not felt in other games for a long time. And I genuinely enjoyed it.
It's just there are so much more potentials
There are so many scary ones 😭😭 anything to do with those mangy spiders got me cringing like Ronald Weasley
yeah! like the castle is quite strong, if 80% filler, and yet you spend so little time there
I do spent quite a considerable amount of time there. Because I refuse to fast travel and walk in the castle every chance I get
I tried to be an rp "go everywhere on foot" but when the game turned into "go 3km away to this village, then u turn and go 5km to some other village" I quickly became a fast travel / autobroom person
And searching for familiar rooms and hunting field guides in the castle is fun too
I love the little tidbits
yeah, those I enjoyed a lot
Yea I gave up after the Southern region opened up. And the game isn't designed to have you fly around as navigation as well. How come we can't even land or take flight from the astronomy tower
I wish there were more secrets. Like rooms and such. But I also wish we could learn apparating and broomless flight like you see some enemies use. I'd love to apparate around and watch the annimations as you do so. Come on! Anne could dissaperate and apprrate!
Ooop as far as flying goes, I did NOT like the camera for the broom, idk why, might just be my controller, but it always felt so hard to get it to focus on me while I’m flying
Still, I can now navigate the castle without getting totally lost. So that's fun
don't have huge maps just to have a huge map unless you're the crew (a game whose massive map I enjoyed, even though it was so silly)
It's just as bad on keyboard and mouse. You can't pan up and down. The camera is locked mostly. The controls are relative to your camera angle instead of relative to your character so it get mess up when you turn around
same problem I had w elden ring - so much map, so much filler, and once I realized 100% would be super boring, I gave up
At least in Elden Ring I think the contents are more handcrafted and well designed
well, there's 14 tree sentinel boss fights in that game....
As opposed to random gear that are mostly trash that fill up your inventory fast, knuts that you will have no use by the time you finish half the quest, and decorations that mostly can't creatively fit in the room of requirement
😂 If they do have more content, I agree apparition would be cool! Also more spells might be neat, I miss aquamenti
Depending on how easy this game is to mod. I look forward to fixing all the little problems with mods tho
I hope in the future they do a much bigger rp aspect and a much smaller "you are 1 of 6 God's..."story
Floo powder travel is just apparition. You don't even need to find a fireplace
"you're God powers allow you to see doors, and to throw crates(?)"
apparently nobody else knows the "throw" charm sans ancients
Combat apparition then
Ooooooo diving!! Like for real diving, I want to go see the squid
Honestly, just have the castle and hogsmeade, cut out everything else. Maybe add diagon alley. Doesn't even need to be open world.
And focus more on character relationships, hanging out with friends, having lessons, eating in the great hall, chatting in the common room.
That would already be so great
Oh my lord. Watching dumbledore use apparaition in vombat was so amazing. And, I mean, technically that talent that turns your role into a blink is kinda that but not really.
- giving us the ability to sit down 😂
exactly - an rp slice of life school game is fitting, this game is super confusing (and makes me think "reskin of another game that died in development")
I have all these nice chairs in my room of req and my butt refuses to sit in them
Sit down power was sorely missed. Instead you just sleep on the ground wherever you are to change the time.
lol I made them all teeny tiny - did yall use the room?
And floorplans, for god's sake let us reshape the room of requirement a little
That was so funny, we’d just casually clamber up whenever the quest was ready to go 😂
"good to see you" they said, after walking past you blocking the doorway, then doing 2-3 hours of work
I wish the warm and cozy ambiance actually felt warm and cozy, the only lighting I like is the moon one
And sleeping too. Would love to sleep in our rooms.
Also there's no student in the common room or their room at night? Do they all take a train back to london every night?
Super creepy to see an empty castle
Hogwarts horror
this is honestly the game that would have made a ton of sense to have survival mechanics - food, water, grades, etc - but your actual room doesn't matter? at least let us decorate it - makes more sense than putting up 30 paintings of random wizards in the ror
And the sneak sections are the worst. I do want patrolling prefects but not one that fails you instantly when they spot you.
Maybe they try to subdue you and identify you, if they did you'll have house point deducted?
😂 me when I see the default paintings, a la “who are you people”
If they’re gonna have sneaking at night I would have actually liked it to be like that every night
And forbidden zones like the restricted section would always be a red zone
Or at least have some consequences, give me detention 😂
Yes, have me clean the trophy room or extra school work, or whatever
As punishment, brew 10 potions for Sharp after class or something
found on reddit
My head cannon is that our MC is just a secret agent working for the Ministry that happens to possess the ability to see and manipulate ancient magic. They were sent in to "contain" the situation however they deemed fit because the ministry is stretched thin with other matters and doesn't want this blowing up in a big way to the larger wizarding community.
They are so committed to their cover that even the professors don't know. And it's why the MC can instantly pick up spells in class (because they already know the spells, and have likely dabbled in the Unforgivables before in their line of work).
From there the story unfolds and since the game never gave us any more back story I'm just gonna keep this as my MC's background since it makes more sense why they would have no issue brutally murdering any foe in their path because this is all old hat, so to speak.
Judging on how our character acted, it's likely we are admitted in fifth year because we spent four years in Azkaban
Is it dumb that Ominis doesn't join the House Cup celebration yet he cheers for Slytherin???
Ravenclaw I mean
Finally beat the game’s main. Just gotta do all the side quests now. I ran out of potions, so it was harder than it needed to be.
We’re like his best friend after the Sebastian stuff so it makes sense he would cheer for us.
It doesn't make sense when you're in the Ravenclaw house and wins the House Cup he cheers but doesn't when you're in Slytherin.
Oh, sorry. I thought he cheered for every house. Maybe it’s all the bad experiences he had with his family of Slytherins.
Maaaan. Ominus is kinda just amazing. He seems like a really good person. He knows the consequences of dark magic and such and so on. Too bad romance wasn't a thing. My first choice is natty but second is ominus.
Awkward teenage romance DLC like Hogwarts Mystery
Lol. Yup.
I'd love the sequel to build on the friendships you make in this game, that'd be amazing. Seeing them all again.
Id like to see Sebastian again after not snitching on him.
And after when he's in Azkaban
Snitching* I can't spell right now lolol.
hes also blind
It'd be cool breaking him out of azkaban. But is Nimh ever mentioned in the books? All headmaster and headmistress portraits are in the office. Is she mentioned? I never read the books.
Being blind is perfect for the fashion victims we can be. 🙃
Bro I was wondering why he couldn't look at the MC in eyes then it dawned on me
when he walks u can see him use his wond like a walking stick the tip lights up red
I think he uses it for echolocatuon which is really cool.
Snakes are blind so it makes sense considering he's an Gaunt
Perfect combo for a basilisk
Ominis is therefore Voldemort’s great-uncle.
and a biological connection to Salazar Slytherin
I think ominus's lost sight is due to birth defect. The 'purebloods' would often practice inbreeding to keep themselves 'pure'. Gross if you ask me.
Ominis Gaunt was born blind so yeah
he is a disgrace to the legacy of salazar slytherin
sebastian should have ak'd him along with soloman
Mmhmmmmm. I feel like someone should be on the recieving end of crucio, lol. And it ain't either of those two.
Bruh why would seb do that to his (former) best friend
I kinda wish as like a late game ability you could summon inferi or pensiev knights as like powerful end game magic.
That would be very nice
he is a traitor
What, you snitch
Its the Slytherin way. We're ambitious
Sebastian is such a good friend, why would you snitch
He is not a good friend. He is twisted asf.
I mean. Is he though? He tries to use you to save anne. And has no qualms with risking your life as well as seen on their raid on the goblin mine.
Stop spoil ong
Thats what im sayingg
Imma spoil christmas :>
Nooooo
Imma tell you alllll the presents you'll get >:) It will ruin you!
NOOOOOOOOOO
when do i learn abra cadabra
You will get that lego star wars set you've always dreamed of >:)
You will get a lot of donald duck comics as well!
And a pair of homemade socks
I don't know. I feel like sebastian get's a semi pass for it all being trying to save his sister. Even if he isn't thinking about anyone else during. Kinda selfish but what might you do to save someone who's been their for you your entire life?
Guys
I survived the haunted dungeon and kept the shop!
You wont. Gryffindors is way to pure
Be there for them and not make them worry about you
nnnoooooo
I will learn this spell but use it for “good”
Math teacher enters the room*
You: Ava-
Perhaps
spoiler demiguise are actually monkeys
I love the idea of using the dark arts for good. A person of sound mind and soul using something that's supposed to be evil help people! What sebastian tried to do but went astray.
Dark art is neither good nor evil itself. Just another tool to be used
The thing I found a bit sad that the demiguese missions is only one time to Sneek around
Guys
Why can’t we just walk up to Ranrok and punt that little goblin to win the game?
What makes dark arts and dark magic dark and "evil" is that most magics made in the dark arts are often only for the purpose of harming others. And it was a corruptive force to a person. Voldemort for example, before he was destroyed by lillie's love magic, had his appearance altered drastically to be more serpentine and disfivured. So technically it kinda is evil but I'm not sure to what extent one would have to delve into the dark arts foe it to currupt them like that.
I just finished the main story yesterday (the final fight with ranrok) and I’m just wondering what happens after I complete all side quests/challenges?
Because I don’t really want to delete my character or something since I have so many cute beasts and so much progress
I'd keep the character if it's sentimental. No reason to delete. My first character is going to be sengimental to me. My ravenclaw boy.
evil = ugly
Guys
Goblins be wildn
They get bullied once and then start a rebellion
One thing tbat just popped into my head is about anne. They say her curse couldn't be lifted or broken, but like, isn't curse breaker an actual profession in the wizarding world? Didn't they consult curse breakera? Sorely tbey didn't just stop at st. Mungos.
One think I wish they put more thought into was increased spell interactions. For instance, maybe glacias and bombarda shatters an opponent like diffindo buuuut also causes a more damaging and larger aoe due to ice shrapnel propelled by the exploding jinx.
Is the cloak 100% reusable after getting it from a mission?
Nah you only get to use it during that mission
so what's the point in getting it if you can't use it again?
Cameo
well it's part of a mission you do for one of the trials in the game. Niamh Fitzgerald quest.
that's bull... that's like in defiance and other game's like that you get to use powerfull tool's weapon's and item's But not use them again cause their too OP....
Yeah its kinda silly we don't get to keep it after the quest. The Wand you get in that quest is pretty super powerful too and you don't get to keep that either
This is the spoiler's chat no need for black marks
either way... I call bullarkie... we should get to keep what we earn....
It's not like the sword of griffindor by any mean's.
Technically speaking it kinda is. At this point in time the reaurection stone is with the gaunts apparently, even I didn't know that, the cloak is with the peverels or potters. The only hallow that would make sense for us to get is the elder wand which should be with whoever killed egbert the egregious. Aecus or livius or something. Maybe even hidden away somehwere.
I mean you're in a book
what is a gaunt?
A family name. You know. Like ominus gaunt.
speaking of: I expected a romance option.
oh... don't know many character's of the game since i don't have the game it's self though I do have the 8 original movie's in collection i'm waiting to get the fantastic beast in it's completed glory
God me toooooooo. Also, oh my bad, didn't know you didn't have the games. It does talk about the gaunts I think in the books but not everybody has read them, me included. I just pick up bits and pieces.
don't worry you didn't spoil anything for me i just didn't know the name's of character sis all
That being said I'm a PC player and I don't know how i'm able to get it this year with out selling art but even that prove's to be difficult....
Guess my luck with game's is terrable atm But i do plan on gettin g my PC repaird or replaced soon
Whats wrong with it
3 town's power outages. and for some reason since then my index don't wanna work any more and my controller's are getting surges threw and during stream's or recording my game get's muted after words... SO I need to get it looked at and see the outcome of what happen's next.
pluss i can't use medibang art's to do most of my artwork past 1 minute cause of blue screen any more so i really need to get it looked at
Hmmm... if only the keepers wand was like the elder wand XD
I really loved when our character had the option of learning the cruciatus curse but not use on sebastian. Curious for it's knowledge but unwilling to hurt a friend. I wish we could admonish him each time. Telling him dark magic has it's use but only in the most dire circumstances. And maybe choosing thoae choices, showing dark magic can be used for good, would lead him down a lighter path. I kinda also wished we could have like a quick time event where we raise like a stone barrier around solomon despite him being such abackside, or depulso to knock him out of the way.
Same i wish we had the ability to use imperio to stop sebastian just like he did with the goblin
O_O The Impossible girl is here....
Impossible girl?
Yeah a girl seen in multiple time's at once.
I get the doctor who reference, Clara.
someone help pls
hm?
well what is it?
she has the name but i dont think she gets it her self XD
Man, i dont know what choice to make with Sebastian. Turn on him or not turn on him T-T
Don't till the end. Cause he's the only one to teach you the 3 forbidden curses
I already know all of them
turn him in after you learn the last curse spell
there you go then XD
No one ever gets better by going to Azakaban and he's remorseful.....hmmmm...
man is down a dad, mom, uncle and now his sister hates him. Let him learn his lesson 😂
It would've been nice to see him become the villain and join a similar path to Isidora in the quest for power
Guess ill turn him in this time and then let him go when I eventually play as Slytherin
Is he tho 😂
Oh now its giving me a choice to still let him go
The game really want to make sure that im sure
I feel like Azakaban is far worse than learning a lesson
Spending the rest of your life in a living hell begging for death from being torture by demonic spirits that literally suck out your soul
He went too far to be sure, but no one deserves that
lol now it rings a bell damn been so long that i almost forgot
Okay after the end of the game and taking the power like .. “there is no good or evil. Only power and those to weak to seek it” hit a little different. Like imma use that power to save all the creatures and y’all just too scared to wield it 😤😂
I kinda wish there was a benefit to taking the power or leaving. Like if you take it you ancient magic meter is always full, and if you don't your spell cooldowns is reduced by 50 to 75 percent.
Can anyone tell me how to pass the 3rd broom challenge on PC? My broom does not follow the mouse directions and I remain 10seconds behind time. I have tried this challenge for more than 2hours now.
Even with modded controls for mouse directions I have a hard time finishing that quest line. The game took pity on me and let me skip it. I was lazy
It is nuts, I really dont get how flying is so difficult in these challenges. Thanks for reply 🙂
It sort of feels like a particular space game racing map but the drawback in Hogwarts is the lack of speed control, you have to press Shift again to stop speeding before a sharp turn, but it practically makes us stop in place. Best option is to boost and accelerate with Shift in straighter lines
Got ya
Where can I find trolls around? 😮
Troll dens search on yt to find where they are
Normally there are those icons that show were trolls/mongrels/… are and if you hover over it it will tell you for which enemy
yea but I think youve had to discover the area first
ok, who from gryffindor has chosen the path where sebastian after shooting his uncle gets punished for his deed?
Who here is a harry potter geek
you
💀
ty
I mean I can still watch those episode's till this day XD
How you do Severus?
nah, anyone who turned him in is foolish. we’re literally no better having murdered so many people and goblins and commited atrocities too lmao
I dont think his uncle would have killed us though, the goblins and ashwinders definitely would have, but using ak on your uncle because he disagrees with a 15 year old using pitch black magic? Sebastian needs help.
So let me understand this... His sister was near the house the last keeper lived. and was cursed by a goblin with dark magic the keeper created. How is there not a cure?
i mean that’s true, tbh i just think that was weird storytelling cuz he coulda used other things besides AK. but at the same time, if you make your character use the unforgiveable curses left and right, then we’re no better lmao
I agree, the reason i turned him in on my first playthrough was because I feel there were other options, other spell to use than what Seb did. I also didnt use and of the unforgivables in that playthrough.
My playthourgh with my next char however i will do the opposite 🙂
This is not the case. You need to progress the main story to know the real facts.
haha i see, yeah my main character rn is just using dark arts like it’s nothing so 🤡
and that is why?
yep. Its left very open, and im hoping that maybe we will look deeper into this in a sequel. Imgine if we can save Anne in the next game? (this is wishful thinking)
Also, she was not cursed by a goblin, it was ||Rookwood. thats where the line "Children should be seen, not heard" came from||
Sebastian is running on theory that it was a Goblin.
well yes, in that case it would be weird to turn him in. Hypocritical 100/10
I see. Then why doesn't he go after Rookwood then a goblin?
Yes I really want a sequel quest line with Anne. I want to lift the curse since killing the caster didn’t do it. Also I want her Incendio upgrade. 🔥
Because he has no idea. You dont find out until the end of the game. Just play, youll see 😄
He doesn’t know. We don’t find out until much later and at that point Sebstian and the MC are not talking much
Are there multiple endings?
that's currently hard for me to do at this present time
yess!! I would love this. Silently hoping for this to be in the sequel
well I dont know your situation. If you want to know ||In like the last 3 quest or something you get kidnapped before you kill Rookwood, thats where he says that "children should be seen, not heard" and the mc figures out it was rookwood that cursed anne. But at this point in the game you mostlikely arelady did they quest where Seb kills his uncle. If you turn him in you can tell Ominus who says he will tell Seb, and if you did not you can tell Seb yourself, he will say he has been too judgy of the goblins, but thats where the story ends.||
I believe there is said to be 2, but i am not 100% sure of that as ive only finished the game once so far
Ahhh, Imma try to get second ending after I 100% a playthrough
And be a slytherin next
I got my 100% today 😄 I touhgt it was bugged, one of my ancient hotspots was not counting which was the last thing i needed. Verivying game files fixed it though!
I’ve done the “good”, “bad” and “true ending” (where credits rolls)
Hufflepuff is litteraly the Biggest W cus u go to azkaban
I would be happy too but i can't say here.
only 2 achievements left (reach map room as slytherin and hufflepuff) and i will have every achievement
Demn... Cant find time so it will take me a long time
took me 70 hours 😄
Kinda boring there tho... Like I wanna know my patronus
Its something Else tho
Right!
hufflepuff commonroom is really small, especially if you play as a guy and dont get the upper floor, like damn
Sadly there are no dementors as enemies and u cant learn the patronus charm
I agree. I was like it’s cozy but very small
True! I picked hufflepuff for the common room then I learned that cant have full access!!!
Hufflepuff has great Holiday decorations tho
every common room bars guys form the female dorms, so the only way to remedy that is by playing as a female character 😛
The other houses don’t go all out if at all
to be honest i have not payed attention to it xd
Wont it be nice if you can get to other houses' common rooms, like in ravenclaw I can answer the riddle, while at hufflepuff well it:s hufflpuff and at gryffindor you heard the password from a griff...
So maybe... I can make a masculine female... So I have full access. Is that possible?
yes, if you pick "witch" in the character creator you will get full acces
I just set my Alts to witch with the wizard body to check out each house.
Ahhh. Tnx!
It doesn’t effect outfits just where your dorm room is at. I dunno why witches are okay to go to the wizard rooms tho. That’s so sus. But whatever lol
I know you can glitch in... but idk if you can do it the right way
Yeah saw it, but cant do it.
it was already like that in the books (Harry and ron couldnt go to hermoines room, but she later wakes them up and the boys comment its unfair that she can enter their room)
During professor Weasley's assignment does it matter whether I say yes or no? Couldn't find any info online about it
uuh which assignment?
Uh the transfiguration spell one where you answer 20 something questions when she asks about your time during the house exclusive quest
Oh, i dont know
Ok, I'm just going to assume it doesn't matter then 😮
I had it at 100% and it didn’t change how she reacted. I have done that twice (the other time not 100). Which kinda sucks. But I guess on a story stand point we still have a lot to learn.
thanks 🙂
this waiting suuuuuuuuucks 😦
what exactly are you waiting for
I could tell you what but not allowed to say it here 😦
why wouldnt you be, its the spoilers channel for a reason no?
has nothing to do with spoilers
You know it was a missed opportunity not having professor garlick using cabbages against the army. I was like where is she?
Can you grow medium plot seeds in large plots?
You can grow all sizes in the large one so yes
Perfect thanks
Honestly why does life have to be so hard for this game? XD
Wait, once the credits roll, is your save basically gone or can you just play more?
I assume you can go on playing how ever there is no new game pluss so it is gontinuess
I just imagined Professor Black sitting with his cup of tea while watching MC fighting with the ||Ranrok Dragon||
You can play on!
Okay, good, I almost got worried that I couldn't cast Avada Kedavra ever again
did i not just say that?
ugh.....
I'll go hide under my claok as if i didn't exist then... Obviously that proves to be true other wise 😦
Well, technically you said "assume" so didn't really confirm it. But I get you, you did answer it
I assume cause I don't have the game to confirm it my self. And seeing's how I know there's no new game pluss That's all I can go by.
Open world games tend to go on afterwards
you can keep playing
just finished the mainstory and decided to keep the power for myself, but I'm unsure this had any effect whatsoever on the ending, nor did I get any additional power. Is that that?
congrats
does not change anything unless its in a future dlc
i won't be able to finish it till next year or 2
iv done both nothing changed worthwhile, 2nd play i got and used all curses in 1 brief shot at the end your ryrs turn red other then that everuthing is the same
and no one seems to know about it either, I didn't notice any different reactions from anyone either. It's like, whatever happened down there ,it's only for me to know and that's that
you could have murder fig yourself and no1 would have known lol
Just finished the sebastian and anne storyline
convinced sebastian that it's ok to use avada kedavra then went on to tell ominis to betray sebastian, got a big laugh out of that
Fig’s death was a blink and you miss it kind of thing, cause I don’t remember him dying at all
you choose to absorb the ancient magic? if you choose to seal it you get a little extra scene with fig dying
I chose to open it, and the mc did a monologue about how it was her power, I remember him saying you should know better, he probably got hit after, but that was it.
They didn’t even have all of the professors fighting. I don’t remember seeing Kagawa or Garlick.
Maybe they are not great fighters and that is why they are missing. Or they are looking after the school and the students in other places, like in the battle for Hogwarts.
But yes the story does feel a bit rushed at the end.
Yeah I didn't even realise that was the end until the battle started, it seemed like at least a few more quests
What's much worse is that they took a super long time in the midgame. And then at the end, out of nowhere, kill him, arrest him, defeat the poachers. It all went a bit too fast and seemed inauthentic. Rookwood was actually a pretty bad threat next to the Ranrok. Apart from that, the companion quests were much better than the main story.
But it's still a good game and it was fun to play the story.

Hi
Sadly not too uncommon in games, developers tend to polish up the first half and run out of them when working on the ending
Didn't they have like 12 years?
Nevermind. It was announced in 2018. For some reason I thought it was announced all the way back in like 08.
Are Goblins even capable of casting the kind of curse magic that was placed on Anne? I've been thinking about this since Sebastian brought it up
I finished the main story recently, I just assumed it was Rookwood from the start.
I'd assume so. There would probably be similar types of magic across magical species. Like how dobby levitated that cake. We don't know for sure he used the levitating charm wizards learn but it had the same effect.
Officer singer was an auror right? She seemed kinda useless. Two children, albiet one with powerful ancient magic, did more to stop harlow and rookwood than the whole of the ministry combined. Like, she did nothing, showing up only after you did her job for her. I'd imagine being apart of an investigative body, she'd, you know, actually investigate. Follow clues and leads, eavesdrop, collect evidence of some kind. She's probably doing something in the background but I don't know. The whole ministry seems so incompetent in the era we play in.
money always helps cover corruption
She's bound by the ministry laws and procedures which I assume aren't exactly the most stringent to begin with in that time. Perhaps if the story didn't demand her be totally incompetent she might be more useful. But generally, a wealthy jerk like Rookwood can get away with pretty much anything.
I find it really dumb how if you pick certain dialogue during the final quest, you just don’t get to see professor figs death
True enough I suppose. The gaunts get away with casting cruciatus curses on muggles. But generally speaking I figured that she'd br able to do proper investigations. I'd think she'd always be at least a single step ahead of a couple of students. But yeah. On a side note niamh's quest in the deathly hallow book would have been a perfect segway into a massive deathly hallows side quest! It was the perfect opprotunity.
She easily gets incapacitated in a side quest where once again the MC has to save her and also defeat the villain. We actually go to her for help… she fails. Poor officer Singer she’s written to be useless.
It says that it was stolen from gregorovitch somewhere between 1899 and 1926. So if we assume gregorovitch obtaining it later in the timeline our character could weild for a number of years before they potentially lose it to gregorovitch if they were to sync up with the events of harry potter.
Do you think Victor Rookwood has anything to do with Augustus Rookwood?
One message removed from a suspended account.
One message removed from a suspended account.
Officer Singer was so useless that partway through I thought she was actually working with Rookwood. Lol. Would have a been a nice twist.
Still think she's on his payroll
Rookwood doesn't need to bribe an individual officer, he probably makes regular "donations" to the whole department.
Why bribe one officer when you can bribe the department head kinda thing.
They should expand the story by making your character get caught for using unforgivable curses… then you will get detained and somehow find ur way out and get ur stolen wand back
I feel like the story‘s too short
The only problem with that is now you'd be an outlaw. Then again you could go on a witness and evidence purging I suppose. I don't know. Somethings like that could fundamentally change the game.
The final house cup mission is so short 😭
Ik i had the same thing he just kinda vanished
does anyone feel like the ending was a little anticlimactic?
Yeah that's what I said earlier
Yh it was awful
I'm trying to grind out to level 34 for the House Cup mission and its becoming increasingly not worth it
You gain very little xp too I find
I still have very few side quest to finish too, but the ending killed the vibe for me
My thought exactly, I wonder how long it'll take to reach level 40, im at level 32
If I'm not mistaken, no other main quest was locked at a certain level right?
I only got to 28 then restarted have done 4 main story missions and already level 15
second run eh?
Yh
You have to do the challeneges. It's only really unearable around 36 37 ish and that climb to 40 is a snails pace. You have to complete the field guide to do it. One thing I realized about the decision whether or not to turn sebastian in is we make him a worse person choosing to turn him in. His hate for goblins and dark wizards only skyrockets. If he were ever to escape when we turn him in god help hos victims.
I wish our choices had more impacts on the end. Because we can finish the quests and we have no drawbacks of choosing the "evil" path for example
i wanna get all the trophies on my first run
Couldnt carry on playing after the ending lost interest
sebas can get the smoke fr
we protect sebastian in this house, poor guy we kind of gaslighted him into making us learn the curses
fr ! i thought the creators said there were multiple endings, so far its just two..
I have been but I'm still finding it difficult and quite tedious to do. I probably won't follow through.
As for that, I suppose I agree. I actually ending up choosing to let him go.
he was our victim
Sebastian ominis and weasley are the only students i like
Yeah and the "evil" doesn't change much. Our character still laughs (all happy dovey) and has absolutely NO drawbacks at all from our choices
it would've been cool to see the companions at the end too helping out
poppy was kinda cute tbh, but it would've been better if we actually fought her parents for example
0 character development
yeah exactly, even the environment is not impacted by what we did. Games like dishonored showed pretty well when you did "bad" things. I felt like my actions had no impacts 😢
i would say the best part of the experience was the deathly hallows
That's kinda the problems with the "choices" in most of the quests. There's not much impact on the world. I would have loved to see a scene of us actually using the power for good. Maybe we rescue fig with our new power or we se a scene of our character researching with the portraits with the reluctant keepers now just teying to prevent another isadora with a student who seems as hellbent to help but also concerned with the right ways to go about it researching and safely testing before using it in real world applications.
100% elder wand was awesome shame it was in black and white tho
i just woke up on my dorm after everything like its another regular day sigh
game was too linear for an RPG game
One of the things that bothered me about the story aswell was that 80% of it was played in the snow
LOL yeah and we woke up in the dorms i was like "okay okay fair enough i guess"
So dissapointed. I said it before but that would have been a perfect segway into a full blown elder wand quest! It would have been so epic if ranrock saw it and recognised it, being even more on gaurd against the weilder of ancient magic weilding the elder wand.
This is good points and I agree. Because we reveal the facts to him after the main story and he started to see the error of his huge assumption it was a goblin that did it.
He was so obsessed with finding the fix that he never stopped to reassess everything. Blinded by his own good intentions that led to a path of dark. Poor guy. But all that messy tragic stuff is what makes him so compelling and the quest line so enjoyable
Yh and i wish it kinda had a reputation system like when u kills loads of goblins other goblins start to fear you rather than the same voice line for every enemy on the map
Yeeeeah. It would have been nice to see them wary about you. Like after killing 50 to 100 goblins tbey express fear.
I did see some of them running away from me sometimes
Yh rather than the same 3 voicelines
Does it get any more cozy than Hogsmeade?
Seems like all roads lead to hogsmeade
What are you up to now?
bhwahahahha jesus
Yh god i hate that floo flame woman
goofy ahh lines frfr
It’s funny cuz she just yells out, luckily the mobs don’t hear her cuz she has outed my spot a lot when I’m stealthing lol
That floo flame woman and the caretaker mr moon make me wanna close the game
mr moon was kinda irritating
He’s suppose to be. Even how he writes is irritating. Did you read his journal entry lol
I refuse to unlock alohamora coz i cant listen to him
Mr Moon drank too many butterbeers
Speaking of him. Does he hang around anywhere specific? I've completed his quest and subsequent quest and have the Alohomora 3 but after finding like 7 more demiguise moons I don't know where he went to offload them. Unless there just stuck in my inventory now. Completely possible.
He’s in his room (by the thestral pen) usually. I can’t interact with him tho. He just stands there
Didn't he say he would be in hogsmeade? In the big tavern?
LODGOK IA DEAD?!
ye lol
I just did the mission
I am speechless.. man
didn't you watch the cutscene wtf?
I did, i just didn't assume he was dead
Just passed out
Killed by his own brother…man
Caught me off guard
crushed by a mountain but yes, just passed out
yes, and the main character is like "well can't help ya bro, I'm outta here" and then the whole mine just buries him
That's when i realized he was dead
When we didn't even try and just dipped
I don't like that this game just railroads you on the most important decisions, but well, it's no Mass Effect
Was kinda hoping we'd at least bring him out with us
Rip lodgok
yes, or at least get the option to try
Yeah like a timed thing to at least try to save him
Nope
as said, it's no Mass Effect in terms of story telling etc, but stuff like this is why I would give this game a 8/10 at most, as it has so much wasted potential (also facial animations are cringe most of the time)
There was a lot more stuff they could have made better (about the story/ story mechanics etc). I fear they had not time for it.
!
Endquest Spoiler:
!
What I would have loved in the final battle would have been if Poppy, Sebastian and Natty had helped us. There would have been possibilities to include that they notice something. Poppy could have helped us along with Highwing, Natty with wandless magic and her animagus form and Sebastian could have shown that he's actually a good guy. Maybe he could have even saved someone with his magic (maybe not with the No-No spells but with Confringo?). For that to work, you would have had to complete the quests with your friends beforehand, but why not?
Yeah, there are obvious cut parts of the game and some things where they've taken shortcuts. Like having one goddamn voice actor for 99% of the goblin npcs
In Horizon Zero Dawn there are people who help us in the final battle, if we did their quests + were nice to them. I would have liked something similar in Hogwarts Legacy.
I mean.. they don't really help that much in HZD but yeah I get what you mean
I dont mean like they fight with us, more like they "show up" in a way.
it was 5+ years in development, huge staff (the credits were what? 30 mins?), has a huge map, of which the south portion is basically unused but to do more collecting, imo if they allocated their resources correctly they could have done a lot better
Yeah, no, I know, and I agree. The fight against Renrok was underwhelming in pretty much every way honestly. Victor Rookwood felt like a much better fight.
I wish they went deeper with this. Like is that consequence for everyone who can tap into this ancient magic? Like I just want more lore about it.
rookwood was pressing LB+RB 3 times
I don't know what that is
it was your basic "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" story, not much to expand on there
that's how you activate ancient magic on a controller
Ah. I didn't use that on Rookwood fight. :P
Ranrok should have used the stolen wand for more than just cracking open the magic container. All the stupid goblins shouldn’t have wands stuff and he barely gets to use it before becoming an evil dragon.
Thanks poppy, ik i did it while you're there being useless
Yeah, the dragon part just put it over the top for me >_>
it was a nice set piece and looked cool, but felt like they used a dragon just because it's cool
I know, but since the release date has been pushed back several times, I'm assuming a lack of time (even if 5 years sounds much).
We should have transformed into a gigant phoenix haha
I honestly would have enjoyed actually fighting his goblin form with the armor. And him throwing all sorts of magic at me. The dragon was cool. But it really did feel out of place..
Yeah, I was hoping for a fast moving / teleporting and spell flinging goblin. the red dragon was too edgy :p
Welp still a better fight than Harry against Voldi in the first movie
they could instead have made that an ability or phase change he used
Just one small touch against Harrys power-of-love-body and it was over already.
I'd die too if a 11 yo put his dirty hands on my face 😭
The music was epic tho. The whole OST is epic.
The OST that plays when you tame the graphorn is one of my favs. It’s very short. I always choose to kneel and it fits so well with the ethereal vocals
Loved the Soundtrack after you’ve cursed Ominis with the Imperius Curse
🔥🙌
Wdym
It was a sad but also dark mood delivered
I mean when did u use imperio on Ominis cuz I never got that otption
Yeah neither did I O_o
At the end of the quest where you’ll get Imperio
That never happened to me breh
You have the option to curse him, so he steps aside
Damnn that’s dark
Hm.... I can't remember that.
maybe it’s cuz I convinced him so I didn’t have to use imperio
But you do ask for his approval, either way it’s twisted
Yes, might be. But YouTube should have footage of cursing him
We’re way too charismatic to need to use Imperio.
Using imperio on ominis is worse that killing his uncle Ngl
bet I need to watch that clip
Bro it’s not any fun if Ominis wants u do to it
Lol I’ve pretended to be Sebbys BF only to send him to Azkaban, after he teached me the AK
Nah that’s cold don’t turn him in
Damn he was that bad huh lol
Colder than my glacius spell, bro
💀
Only the best evils can pretend to be good
Like Sophie from Gaveldon (the school for good & evil)
That’s on my watch list
yea wand wielding goblin
I’m reading the second book atm, it’s so good!
Im resubbing for Shadow and Bone season 2 and after binging that I’ll check School of Good and Evil out
"you shall never use dark magic"
Me: Avada kedavra, crucio, Avada kedavra, crucio
Son of a dragon what Sebastian heard was Rockwood
I feel bad for gaslighting him but I needed to complete the spell collection.
St Mungo's Therapy Ward is gonna be busy
Does talking to ominis make the ending different?
After the Avada quest, at the undercroft
Yes. What you choose effects Seb
I thought he was ur ride or die bae
Oh wait the choice is here
I ain't turning him in, sorry ominis
Fr snitches get stitches
Ngl ominis grew on me
same, imo best side character
Best side character is Scrope no cap
Fight with Rockwood was..meh
playing on hard the game started out hard until one gets the hang of it, but after that gets too easy, especially when you're over the recommended level
I guess i expected more than just that bit
Rookwood fight is better then the ranrok one tho imo
Yh i hate that theres only one enemy type really late in the game that actually blocks ur attacks
Rookwood was too overconfident even when he saw us massacring his goons.
in that fight you at least had to destroy the bubbles with the correct spell and not just press LB+RB 3 times
But still why is ranrok a dragon bro makes no sense
I preferred ranrok coz i dont like the idea of fighting dozens of other enemys in a boss fight at the same time as the boss
let’s be honest both boss battles were kinda bad
they're only potion proxies, they just respawn and dropping a potion each
Even trolls put more of a fight honestly
And the ending was bad bruh I didn’t even know fig died
Either i only realised when our character said this is for fig
He dies ? Oh
eh, that point was quite obvious when you gave him his wife's wand and he then abruptly "went to sleep"
not in the “bad” ending his death is like offscreen
Guess I'm about to reach that part
I'm about to enter the repository
Oh sorry for spoiler
Oh I'd be looking it up myself for choices lmao
No worries plus it's a spoiler chat
It is a story spoiler channel after all
ok
I was spoiled early so I knew he would die. But I thought the first attack killed him and was surprised that he was still alive enough to help me out in the good ending.
Same thing happened to me lol but someone said it in general instead
Honestly I'm actually surprised he lasted this long
I assumed he'd be killed earlier on or betray us
True i thought he would betray from one dialog early on I can’t remember
yes, I was expecting him to actually work with rockwood
I was hoping sebastian would try to kill him so we had to chose between saving fig and turning in sebastian or letting him kill fig
Fig doesn’t even teach at hogwarts the whole year lol
Hes to busy staring at niamh in the map chamber
💀
And he only bothered to teach us like basic cast and repario.
Is basic cast something he made up
Sebastian was the best teacher
hmm I'm missing 1 sidequest
Is it the magic well? People talk of missing that one
Oh shi even black came to help? That's new
I wasn't expecting that either
It’d look bad if Goblins take over Hogwarts while he’s the headmaster.
Did you find Rococo?
the albino bird?
Nah the niffler
ah, ya, very cute quest
Not th pensive guardians now
"I will do all i can to help you"
Sounds about right, fig taking our secret to the grave with him
...why is he a dragon-
rule of cool
At least he didn’t change his stance to “Dragon Rights” too.
... I died
I had so many potions
Why couldn't Noctua Gaunt use Crucio on herself
Interesting question indeed
Well... As far as I know one cannot cast curses on themselves, but might be wrong
Like that trap is real genius, Salazar. If voldemort was there alone in that room he would've died too
It seems like a really inconvenient test for some secret chamber you would rather discover on your own because it's so secret
Also does that mean Salazar himself would've had to bring someone with him each time in order to cast crucio just to open his own scriptorium?
I honestly wonder if you actually need to cast it on someone or just cast it in general.
Yeah. An ambitious Slytherin wouldn’t want to bring someone along and have to share the power they might achieve
I mean it's a curse so you would need to target it towards something alive
Why couldn't they cast crucio on a passing spider or rat running by? I wonder if it's limited to wizards and witches only
Did Salazar bring his pet hamster then?
It's not like an utility spell that you can cast anytime like lumos I figure
And I suppose using transfiguration wouldn’t work either. Turning something in your pocket into a living being
The point of the curse is to torture someone, you can't torture the air or a rock
Bartemius crouch used crucio on that spider creature when he was teaching the class about the curses.
Yes
He should’ve just left his book in the chamber of secrets.
That was a genius way of showing the students and also the audience what the curses do
Also if there are unforgivable curses, would there also be normal curses?
"EAT SLUGS" - Ron Weasley.
If I Abandon a Quest will I be able to go back to it where I left off at?
I dont know if you can go back to where you left off. But you can restart the quest later if you abandon it.
Bibity bobity boo
I give up i keep dying
Ranrok shall keep winning ig
Never give up
play defensively, he only has a few attacks with plenty of time to react, you have unlimited time only attack if its safe to do so, its pretty straight forward
There's also a potion upgrade that straight up makes you invincible if you drink the fortified potion (don't know the name in english) it could help a lot
Who's the hardest boss?
Ranrok
Ahh... I thought there would be more tbh...
The edurus potion?
You have to understand his patterns and have patience.
I am currently doing a no-hit run, I'll soon need to face him, I know it's doable
I'll face Rockwood in a few minutes, of course without any unforgivable spell
Just go on story mode lmao
Really hope we get the chance to get even with Tobb's master in a sequel or DLC. That was a rough quest. Not only having to face an Acronantula but seeing a dead House Elf at the end.
what level are you
I ran out of patience long ago lmao
House elf dlc. Let Deek tell us about all sorts of bad masters and we go trick them into freeing their elves or kill the masters and have the elves transported to hogwarts.

I went in at 28 I think and ran out of stuff and had to quit and redo, so i left came back at 32, with max 25 Wiggenweld potion, maxed Maxima potion, max Edurus potion, and max Focus potion to be safe, built up my acient magic meter to max and left it full then did it again used only 5 heals on the way, when i got to him i used all my ancient magic back one of his attacks he slings a rock at you if your on ps5 r2 and throw it back he have to show the colored ordbs with that color spell before you can move close to attack as he retreats keep attacking the colored orbs when they are down atttack and repeat, I was on normal. if yu want to get more ancient magic bars to the locations on the map I had 4 out of the 5 bars. may seem overkill but i beat him first try after i cam prepaired
I think I wasn't the target of your message initially, I am currently doing a no-hit no-consumable run on my char and I did just beat Rockwood rn.
All this on hard mode. It's not me struggling on the fight 😛
i deleted it an sen to the right person
But you are right, having the Ancient Magic bars maxed out is a big bonus
Also don't let aside the armor upgrade and traits
i decided to follow sebastian after visiting salazar slythierin's sanctorium and he led me to the map chamber before clipping through a wall 💀
Man I love this mission
reminds me of order of the phoenix when the aurors arrive but it’s the teachers
So cool!
True! Seeing the scene right now

Yeah i quit
Enough of a headache for today
Keep chugging maxima and focus

No
Just did it in hard mode with, no hit no consumables
