That was also before it was considered an Unforgivable Curse, and frankly killing people back then was a lot less frowned on.

If you didn't choose to turn Sebastian in when you speak with Ominis, Sebastian will show later on in the Undercroft but if you turned him in the spell is gone forever.

Ancient Magic is the strongest type of magic and only very few people can see it. 2) it's super powerful and in the wrong hands it can be the end of Hogwarts, so the keepers made trails so that hopefully only good people find the containers to protect. 3) All wizards can use ancient magic just 99% of them don't know it exists and it's hard to master I guess. 4) both. Since the feelings were taken with ancient magic I'm assuming it is ancient magic. Plus it wouldn't make sense if it wasn't ancient magic since ranrok is putting tons of work into getting it.

Throughout the entire game our character acts like a awkward bystander and not like a actual student. They interact with NO ONE in any cutscene but it can be overlooked because stuff is happening

No, I see what you mean but the problem was they conveyed the relationship poorly. Fig found us as a muggle or some situation where we weren't taught magic (parents died etc etc,) and mentored us from nothing into the witch/wizard we are today. And not, a single, OUNCE, of dialog ever displays that affection or connection

We found through one of the early cutscenes that each character we know that can use Ancient magic was a fifth year transfer?

What's the significance?
Why is it always the fifth year?

One thing that kind amakes me want to turn sebastian in is when anne uses bombarda on the book he says what have you done, as if it's her fault. Idk. Irked me a bit. The problem with azkaban and any prison system really is it's supposed to be 'rehabilitation' but in reality it just hardens people. Since casting an unforgivable is life in prison he won't technically be released I don't think but say he escapes, made bitter, angry, and cruel by his time there. When all he wanted was to save his sister. Idk. I wish our character could have had some sort of impact on him, made solomon see how desperate sebastian felt to save his sister, to show to sebastian how he was going to far. Idk. Bad situation all around.

I didn't turn him in. I wanted to give this character a 2. chance (even if there will be no more quests with him). Also his uncle did attack us (the player) as well and didn't even stop after we did cry out to him. He would have harmed us badly, maybe even kill us in his rage instead to listen. He could have used Expelliarmus or other def. spells to stop Sebastian instead of harming him (us) but he wanted to fight. At least the creators of the game did decide so.

It doesn't excuse an unforgivable curse but after destroying Sebastian's hope for Anne + attacking us Sebastian probably snapped. To me it felt like a situation similar to what once happened with Dumbledore and Grindelwald.

To be fair, I don't think it's a good solution that if you don't turn Sebastian in, he continues to offer to learn the curses. Storywise, I would have liked it better if you ask him and he says something like "No one should know these curses" to show that he learned from his mistakes. But I guess it was (unfortunately) left that way, so that the player still has the possibility to learn them.

I was exploring before finishing poppy's questline so i went into the gilded perch before reaching her quest and solved all the puzzles. However, upon reaching the quest where i have to look for the snidgets, the snidget sanctuary was already open and i can't proceed. Is there a way to solve it or i have to redo her questline in another save game in order to get the platinum trophy?

Am I the only one who noticed and wondered why Sebastian never brings up the fact again, that we could heal his sister using the ancient magic? He brings it up after the quest with the portrait and the memories and asks our character if we could talk to the guardians about it. And then it is never mentioned again. Another quest about the relic follows and the possibility to help with our magic never appears again.

I wonder if it was actually simply forgotten by the game creators, or if Sebastian didn't want to ask again after everything what happened. Still feels weird to me tho.

Yes I agree there’s something off there. But I took it as the timing of the relic and triptych quest-lines are spread apart.

A lot happens and its not like they are happening all at once (at least in my head).

We also grow increasingly more distant from Sebastian after we call him out on his remarks about Goblins and he started getting more frustrated with us.

After the main story ends and we talk after the eulogy, I feel like that’s the first time we’ve spoken to him in weeks. And by then he’s so hurt/confused/guilty by what he did that I don’t think he even thought to ask us about using the magic.

I must say I am fairly disappointed with the lack of backstory at all for our character. I know they wanted for us to "tell our own story" kind of thing but we have NO story. We talk with the companion characters and have nothing to say or share about ourselves. I feel so horrible even if I got a good ending, I couldn't save Anne, it feels bad saying that Fig's death didn't touch me like seeing Sebastian down like that but I guess it's because you spend so much more time with sebastian and you see him develop, I knew I would probably cry or feel bad about the ending so I did everything in the game first and it probably made me cry more knowing I won't play this game for a while now 💔

I was the opposite, I felt bad for Sebastian and understood what was going on with his family, but since I was able to keep him out of Azkaban but also lose his sister during the process is better than having his sister deal with their uncles death and have him tortured basically in a wizard prison. Now figs death hit me. I pretty much saw him as a mentor like how Harry saw Dumbledore. The fact that we give him his wife’s wand during the good ending seals the deal for me.

I wish we spent more time with fig, Sebastian as a character was a dork but he had so many defining moments that really made me like him as a character. When he cast imperio on that Goblin it's probably the strongest moment of the game in my opinion. I don't know if my choices could of saved Anne or prevented his Uncle's death but I encouraged him to a certain point then tried to reason with him.

Fig's death is much more satisfying as not only does he find out how she dies and rests with her wand, he also helps us uncover the things she sought out and giving her death more meaning. Sebastian will live his life not only regretting killing his uncle but watching the only family he has slowly wither away... Knowing that he is the reason (even if he isn't) things could of been solved. Especially at the end when he finds out it wasn't a goblin who cursed her.

I would feel extra horrible knowing that my choices would of prevented his uncles death or atleast saved Anne, I do know they stopped her from reporting him to the ministry that's for certain.

Plus that Slytherin Gryffindor banter is always charming, I don't know he's easily my favorite character in the game. Anyways that's all for my mini rant time to go have a sad late sleep

Anne, an ill 5th year can apparate, a 5th year, poachers can use the black & purple death eater style flight, and along with those aforementioned spells, why we, the Prince(ss) of Enchanters can't use such powers?

Yes you would. The jacdaw quest is a main quest that takes place at the same time, regardless of which house you choose, but each house gets a different quest for it. You also have to beat that quest as eqch house to get all trophies

Honestly the game was fun, rookwoods final battle felt avarage the final fight amazing but also a bit broken, but that final mission of the great hall felt so lackluster and seemed pretty dead ended for the games future be that in DLC (not planned so doubt we will get any) or a sequal as the same character.. felt to final and like all wow factor was drained out of it.

Unsure I'll come back for a second playthrough without dlc but it is worth atleast the first playthrough

Rookwood final battle lowkey caught me off gaurd, since I thought I was gonna fight him and ranrok at the same time. Althought I enjoyed ranrok final theme especially whe you are at the climax of the battle.

So I just finished the story. I have to say, I'm disappointed. I hoped the finale would be more Grand and dramatic. It was just not executed as well and it was short too. Nonetheless I was wondering, the three options you get before the fight begins, I got the option "I want to keep the power to myself". After the ending I looked on YouTube for the endings and none of the ending videos had this option. But essentially I still got the same as the evil ending

My whole concern is that why is the good ending so much better than the evil ending. In the good ending professor fig is still alive at the end and then he helps defeat that power or something. But in the evil ending he just apparently has an off-screen death and the ending is so much faster too

Standard "boss turns into giant monster" bossfight, but I have to admit, I did enjoy the sequence running through while the teachers battled the enemies. The music and power they showed, was a nice "battle of hogwarts" feeling.

All the challenges yeah - and then for the collection is just all the chest and revelio pages. Though you're not required to 100% it to get 100% of all collections.

There are a few things bugged for so I can't collect them but it still shows up 100% on my game.

The symbols from left to right. 0, 1, 2, 3 etc.

Then flip the question mark to the right beast to add up to the centre number.

im at the door at the DADA tower. the top is 3, 0 and a question mark. so i need the symbol for two as the middle number is 5. from left to right means that the symbol is a unicorn. but the unicorn doesnt appear when i flip the thing on the wall
