I'm fairly certain if you go to the map and zoom out all the way, you can highlight a region and the Field Guide page numbers will include all pages, including moth mirror pages as well as the leviosa and incendio/confringo pages

Sebastian annoyed me in the game. In real life, I might have told him to go get counseling from Professor Weasley on curse breaking as she was supposed to be a former curse breaker for the Ministry.

I would also have been more snippy with Imelda Reyes. I liked Nerida better.

My Slytherin character was from pure-blood family who thought she was a Squib.

But in reality she was never really too interested in getting involved with the family blood status or squabble much like Ominis.

The only reason why I would not make a good Ravenclaw as I am not fond of heights. As for Hufflepuff, I am not into keeping a zoo of magical animals...gardening, yes, but not a magic farm for animals. Gryfinndor and Slytherin have more overlap in qualities.

Well, the story in my head is that my character decides to continue studies about Merpeople with Nerida.

And, she helps Nerida to learn to swim and getting over her fear of water.

I played all four houses so I could experience the Jackdaw storyline from all aspects.

The first house I played was Ravenclaw as my daughter-in-law was playing as a Ravenclaw.

It didn't seem to matter to me as one never spends any time in the common rooms anyway.

I just enjoy the game immensely. It's one of the few combat games that when you do not want to engage the enemy you can dodge them and kepp on going. I cannot do that in Elden Ring or other sword and sorcery fantasy games, and I am getting really tired of that genre.

I thought Fern for Slytherin would be good as it seemed like a "water" name.

In summary, Heather spent the summer studying with Professor Fig who was a also friend of her great-uncle who lived in London. She and her family moved back to London from Boston in America and were living with her great-uncle. Her father was working with along with his brother in their merchant (mercantile) business. Her father's work was basically an import and export business. Neither brother wanted to work for the Ministry preferring to work in the family inherited business that first started in London. Both brothers had attended Ilvermorny in America, but the did not pursue careers in the magical world. Her great-uncle had started the business, and he employed and mentored his own son as well as the two brothers in the business.

after about a third of the game, the main story just starts to go downhill

like, we have a whole goblin invasion and the ministry sends.....no one, not even one auror or hit wizard

nope, no worker from the ministry, not even officer singer

you would think that the ministry would care more about the safety of the students seeing with multiple trolls, goblins with dark powers and dark wizards roaming around that they'll send a few aurors to stand guard

but, they are incompetent enough to allow victor rookwood, a dark wizard. To capture a fifth year student in the middle of broad daylight in hogsmeade

and they even allow said fifth year student to commit mass murder and use enough unforgivable curses for him to make Lucius Malfoy seem like a saint

I think at the end of the story, the mc has killed more wizards than the population of hogsmeade itself

Couldn't agree more. I see myself enjoy running around doing side quests more than the main one. I personally think it's just procrastination not dealing with something you don't know bc you're scared of it. I was bummed that we can't destroy what's inside repository. I think I've seen people talking about it enough that the MC can't live forever and keep it hidden would just be found in the future so yeah :/

And the 'bad' ending is just MC sniff a little bit of it and keep it contained anyway I was like 💀

I personally think the main quests started to go downhill after lodgok's death, or maybe a bit earlier

but after lodgok's death, things just went downhill, san bakar's trial is visibly seen to be made with much less effort having you subdue a graphorn compared to the challenging puzzles before

niamh's trial didn't contain much puzzles but it tested you with fighting and sneaking around

san bakar was just "subdue a graphorn, that's it", at least niamh's trial was a bit interesting considering the whole new art style, the fact it references the deathly hallows to anyone who have read the books or seen the movies

and this fact can be even more proven with the fact that the graphorn only charges, is slow, and has the riding theme of a modified httyd theme, seriously, they just started rushing towards the end and things started to go downhill

But when it comes to meaning... having to subdue graphorn means you need some balls and knowledge, not just fighting skills. And it goes nicely with Poppy's questline, when you are returning the dragon egg not harming the dragon. It makes sense to me, why would the keepers choose such a trial. I personally think the first two were to much similar and thus boring and not much meaningful, though maybe more enjoyable for playing

Yes, but it took me several hours and days for her to understand Animal Crossing. I thought she could do it as she played Luigi's Mansion. She told me later that her brothers helped her learn that one before she could do it on her own.

She makes a lot of jokes about how "simple" she is ... and I have told her many times that sometimes having someone that is a genius is not always that easy either ... my son for one ... sheesh .

I love the controls in Hogwarts Legacy. I like how you can play the entire game without ever once having to crack open a book or guide.

I don't agree with him either, but the dialog does not give much options. I finally decided that his fate was not for me to decide like Madam Kogawa stated about her friend.

I really do not like how they ask the character that she should turn him in just because Ominis and Anne do not want to do so. Plus Solomon did not need to pick a fight with MC either...the MC was yelling at him to stop. It is always ...Solomon yelled something about what have the two of you done ... without really asking or talking to the MC.

Well, putting him in Azekaban is not going to do much good either. Azekaban is the one thing in the Harry Potter books that I thought never made any sense. I have worked in correctional facilities in telephone repair. As a Hufflepuff, you go to Azeban, and the witch is just sitting there picking dirt on the bench. Even prisoners have better conditions than Azekaban.

Do all that and the ancient magic attacks should get Ranrok to the final stage very quickly; you basically skip 90% of the fight.

I prefer him tanking it cos the spell only works on organic tissue, not magical energy and goblin silver armor (which was encasing Ranrock or Ranrock was transformed into the magical energy form combined with the armor).

there are various areas where you can encounter pretty large fights with the two hostile factions
trolls after getting the instant death curse aren't much of a threat though since they can't defend against that
once you get your death curses also you can take out a large group of people instantly comboing punishment and death as instant death will tether to anyone who is cursed if you've upgraded it and punishment will curse nearby targets that are within line of sight of the target you're hitting when upgraded

if you're wanting to struggle up your difficulty to maximum
you might not get dark souls level difficulty but I'm sure it would be fun for someone that's skilled

I do not think your house will change the open world combat encounters

it's even more crazy when you have a mixed fight with a troll and a whole lot of others because then you can use punishment on the troll then standard attacks until everybody within line of sight is cursed and then instant death which just lays them all out XD

I don't recommend using the curses though if you want a challenge
it really took the fight out of the two faction leads
