The forbidden forest is a pretty good spot for moonstone too. Just revelio whenever you are wandering around and watch for it

If you want to get platinum you need to collect everything

To finish the storyline, no, to platinum the game, yes.

Though as far as Field Guide pages are concerned, you only need to collect all of the ones with information on them to complete your collection, you don't need to worry about the moths or braziers or whatever if those are giving you trouble.

I have so much trouble with the follow maps quests, any suggestions how to just finish them quick without spending hours trying to find the destination? I wish the gold trail would actually work for follow paper maps 🤦‍♂️ even on story mode these frustrate me.

Azkaban is a location only accessible as part of the Hufflepuff variant of the Richard Jackdaw quest. Early in the game's development there was a morality and criminal action system, so I'm guessing that this is displaying someone who ripped the leftover files for it from the game and created a working mod for it. Almost always but exceptions exist like with LV being able to use his other wands with no difference to his power as he says himself when it comes to the EW.

Yah but thats in reference to him not feeling a power boost beyond his regular power. He notes he can do his normal magic with the EW and doesn't note being any less powerful with it than he would be otherwise with his original wand. He also had no isssue using Lucius or Morfin's wand to do magic with though he was only doing an AK with lucius and a memory charm with Morfin's and he an extremely powerful wizard anyway so its hard to judge if his spells were less powerful or not with other wands. It just seems he'd note to himself or to Snape if the EW was less powerful spell-wise for him than his own wand would have been.

it felt like we were more important and really had a reason to be there to help out sebastion. it just follows the whole pg trope which i hate (the main story, not sebastion)

It's really up to you. You can go debate with other players if you want lol, some are very passionate about that topic. There isn't rlly a clear cut moral answer because on one hand Solomon kinda had it coming. But on the other sebastian still killed a man

Turning him in locks you out of learning the unforgivable if you didn’t learn them from him already.

At the bare minimum, it can lick your out if kearning AK if you didn’t learn it during his Questline, but Crucio and Imperio you can learn from him any time before that by going to the U der rift and having him teach you of you didn’t learn them during the questline

i really love the game at a base level, but its just not retaining...i really wanted a game that made me feel like i was there, like a real student - i wanted our character to get harmed a little more so we could go to the medical wing - i think its unrealistic for our character to never get hurt after fighting thousands of enemies.

I think the thing it lacked most was an actual memorable MC. Because rn it's a weird mix of blank slate and actual character.
You can't really customise their personality or stats, and they do have some moments where they act on their own so they aren't really a blank slate. But also they have a lot of choices up to player and clearly you're supposed to feel like you're the one making the choices so they aren't fully supposed to be their own character either

exactly! ive always been a good wizard, so there was a quest where i had to go to the secret herb tunnel and i decided to be mean and keep the plant...i got an adrenaline rush but like - you don't see the kid getting bullied, so it just feels like busywork for the sake of it.

the game was honestly boring...it was a beautiful yet stale game, the environment and especially the castle.

especially since the majority of the first movies were close or in the castle walls, i really felt disappointed with us being thrown out of the castle after like 4 classes...i liked herbology (y'all know why) and wish we could have had more time there, to make the classes not feel just cutscene material and more like an actual class
