For Sebastian, his uncle was fighting him continuously and Solomon could easily overpower a 15 year old. Why didn't he use expelliaemus? There's more to it than that. Sebastian got caught up under the influence of dark magic and you can tell he regrets it||

I mean if you mean all the goblin and dark wizard and poacher killing, MC and Seb may be let off on those instances due to the nature of the conflict going on at the time but the thing that would do Seb in with the Ministry is the Dark magic use were he doesn't have armed conflict or battle as an extenuating circumstance like the Cruico use in the maze, the killing of his unarmed uncle and the dark magic relic inferi control use. In modern court at least, those 3 are what's gonna him get sent to jail. Potentially the use of imperio aswell to kill a mind controlled goblin too after he was subdued and no longer an active threat.

yeah, at the start gold may be harder to come by, but after a while, maybe halfways through you will have so much, that you will not even be able to spend it all
