I didnt turn him in because azkaban feel so harsh like he did kill his uncle but the said uncle tried to kill both of you and even prioritized killing you rather than killing the angry zombies so to me basically condeming him to a life of pain when defending himself and the MC feels unfair (also i did things 10 times worse lol)

also off topic but not having any mc background lore is probably my biggest regret lore wise in the game

I’m assuming Solomon and his brother (Sebastian’s father) had a bit of a history together. Probably sibling rivalry

Which might be why he doesn’t like Sebastian cause he reminds Solomon of his brother

Im not sure because, if i recall, Ominis described Sebastian's father as always reading books while solomon was an aurore so i dont really see how rivalry could have formed beetween these two. Also Sebastian's father died pretty young so to me it's more like solomon is angry at sebastian because of his own hatred for dark arts, probably because of some dark stuff that happened while he was working for the ministry and because sebastian is so careless with his own life. And that is more pure headcanon but since seb' is similar to his father Solomon is angry at him for not leaving the peacfull life his brother couldnt leave. I dont know to be fair, there's lot of interpretation here but its better than nothing ig

It's pretty much the only one. They all relate to the same events but yes each house has their own quest to find it. General view from what I've seen is Hufflepuff is best then Griffindor, Slytherin and finally Ravenclaw

Quest for each house leads to Jackdaws rest which is where you find the map chamber so by the itme you finish them you may as well just go on to the map chamber

I did not, for a few reasons:

• If I did, Anne would have no one to be there for her (and she herself couldn’t bear to turn Seb in, either)
• Sending Seb to Azkaban could easily mean sending him to his death
• He acted (somewhat) out of necessity, since his uncle could have killed the both of us

To be fair i agree with the last one, sebastian was in the wrong for putting feldrcoft in danger with the inferi and being ready to sacrifice someones life to save anne, he wasnt in the wrong for killing his uncle who prioritised attacking and maybe his own uncle and his uncle's friend rather than figthing off the angry zombies first

As for Rookwood, I felt like he just… kinda showed up out of nowhere and we dispatched him quickly, so he felt like just a distraction

While he grab you to a middle of nowhere to duel, he grab you to some place of his own, Interrigate you and torture you for the information of final reporistory, I mean if he can curse anne, he can definetly do someting like this. Now you have to choose one of your companion to save you by (just)wishing in your mind( like landsmeet part for DAO). Then you control the companion of your choice, to fight the instance.

So when you and your companion arrive, you need to fight your way downwards to the final repository (and maybe save a few students who weren’t evacuated in time)

No offence, but using this kind of spells is just like guns, the thing itself never wrong, it's the person who wield it.

My problem is from the moment you see him Imperius the goblin he's moved into dangerous. I can understand his pain but the fact remains his first choice is to use spells that are an instant prison sentence not arresto momentum, depulso, accio. Then when he does imperius the goblin he forces them to kill themselves slowly and painfully then he just descends further into obsession and dark magics. I can easily see him killing us because he feels he has to or trying to imperius us because we're "holding back" something that could heal Anne. Its not a good ending but without foreknowledge of how it turns out turning him is the only rational choice.

Even his first action before he descends into the depths he gets to shows an issue. He takes us to the undercroft all very nice for the character but what he has actually done is share his best friends secret, a place that has immense sentimental value with a relative stranger without even talking to them.

Which is a seperate discussion a lot of people are taking that stance because of modern ideas about redemption vs punishment but in the wizarding world azkaban is pretty much the standard punishment for any crime short of instant death by tossing through the veil. You have fines, you have azkaban then you have death so a wizard wont view it as badly. They may not like it but even Heather only wants to avoid throwing "innocent" people in there she has no real concern about those who do deserve and I belive 19th century muggle punishments were even worse hysterectomies, lobotomies, electro shock thereapy, horrible prisons etc.

"No I choose A" "Option B leads to" and you eventually realize its not even an illusion of choice because it actively ignores what you choose adn changes it on you

An example is the one I mentioned where you choose lets compromise then your character proceeds to get Sebastian everything he wants and no one else gets anything. Its not a compromise its a complete and total support of Sebastian I didn't want

well there is plenty of evidence wizards are a different subspecies of humanity. They live longer, are more resistant to physical injury, using magic is just a part of it. So theoretically someone who is an even rarer subspecies can have other abilities e.g. legillimens being able to read minds easily or metamorphagus being able to change forms. Ancient magic sight/use could also come with an increased resistance to normal magic effects. Not enough to survive Avada Kadavra but enough to lessen the effects of other spells.

Well as I see it it actually makes sense. You hit the MC in the head with a sword they'll be hurt as badly as any other wizard. You hit them with a physical element like incendio they'll be burnt as badly. But you hit them with effectively pure magic crucio they're resistant to it if its not charged with ancient magic as well. In the same way in electronics you can have things that resist alternatiging or direct current but let the other type through

I do think Portkey's intent was for MC's endurance and quick recovery to crucio was cos of AM ability giving them greater innate resistance and/or Seb not wanting to hurt them legit like one normally does when casting crucio thus a weak crucio was cast

Basically the MC is just as vulnerable to physical or elemental damage as anyone else but is resistant to normal pure magic effects like the basic cast. Now resistant is not the same as immune so an avada kadavra will still kill htem but things like crucio or basic magic cast are less effective and then you add in sebastian not wanting to make them suffer you get them standing up and walking it off. However even then it takes time you see your health drop to nearly zero and not recover like it normally does till later in the mission. If he'd held it a bit longer you'd still have been incapacitated like anyone else. Its similar to how Harry suffers worse from dementors than other people because of his horcrux status
