First, you're taking the CHOICE away from Anne to at least have one member of her family left to go to, take care of her, or just be there for her.

At the time I believe she thinks he should be sent to Azkaban and leaving him free could put her in just as much danger.

We are basing this off of it being the normal world where yes murder would put you in prison, but not only is this not normal prison, but we obviously have different standards on what is okay and not okay in a fantasy world.

No I'm basing it on the mindset of someone in Victorian times where this is a lot more acceptable.

He used it unforgivable curse to kill his uncle, so what? We have killed countless wizards, goblins, trolls, and everything else that we've encountered throughout the entire game and have done it in way more horrible ways than an instant death.

Your mixing up RPG mechanics and actual choices. Have I hit people with incendio? Yes. Would I need to if Stupify or petrificus totalus actually WORKED like the books/films? No I wouldn't.

Do you see us being punished in going to ask a ban for killing all of those people?

No because its RPG mechanics and if it were real life you probably would go to Azkaban too or Singher would actually do her job instead of just lecturing you.

And let's not forget what Azkaban is.

I have to say, though, I'm feeling much more Gryffindor vibes rather than Ravenclaw due to the very strong sense of morals and justice like Gryffindors and having that "only one way is good, and if you don't follow this line, you're bad" while lacking the empathetic and openness to other's views/situations and realizing that circumstances do tend to breed different outcomes in different people and that some tend to react more radically to those circumstances. I'm honestly surprised you're not Gryffindor.

Like I said even my own characters have different views on what to do with him some are for sending him there and others against. Ironically its Ravenclaw as he's potentially too far gone and Slytherin as he's a personal threat. Griffindor for he can be saved and Hufflepuff as he's a friend

I also think part of what's going on with Slytherin is a time period thing. At this stage the best known slytherin is merlin so its more cunning and ambition whereas by Harry's time the most well known is Voldemort so its Slytherins are slimy evil snakes mindset.

No one has a problem with cunning and ambition because there's none of the evil or backstabbing asociations it gets later

I mean, after completing a few quests with disillusionment spell we, I'm almost sure, had to be forced to use it during nighttime, not only in combat. This is the simplest example. Dialogues that have a good and a bad side (and the presence of dark arts) shows that there had to be more difference between your choices and, I believe, the lack of reaction to player's actions by NPCs are too a sign that they've just left that idea somewhy

Hardest difficulty was... challenging at some moments early on, but once you got access to talents and got some advancement in it became a lot easier. I do feel like on Hard it's difficult enough to make you want to use all your additional tools like plants and potions, while Easy you can probaly just spell spam and not have to worry too much

The difficulty curve kinda gives me a similar feel that Death March on Witcher 3 did - challenging until you get a few of the right perks and some survivability, and then just pretty flat difficulty beyond that.

And that's alright, not every game needs to be Elden Ring

it basically promises you choice and consequences like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, but it just doesn't deliver

every enemy only has 2-3 moves

and one move is always being countered by a specific skill which results in a one shot, regardless of strength (like levioso on a burrowing spider)

I don't think that a "Burden of Knowledge" type difficulty is inherently a bad thing - learning specific counters to specific enemies takes time and effort, and it's rewarding to have a payoff for that.

I think Sebastian's questline in its current state is an example of a good quest for Hogwarts Legacy. It doesn't look like there should be an easy way to cure her. She temporarily left Hogwarts, teachers, and ministry should know about her and about the cause of her illness, so we can imagine that none of the wizards was able to do something with it. I`m surprised that Sebs knowing that we are a carrier of ancient magic that can "take away the pain" did not pressure us to help her, he relayed more on a relic that just controls inferi...
Both MC and Sebs are teenagers and it is good that the questline is fulfilled with mistakes and constant regrets from both of us, really feels like a story to be told.

If there will be a way to continue, I believe Sebs will try to fix the relationship with Anne using our hands when she will feel herself even worse. This could be a good start for a quest

I may be projecting my resentment at being railroaded onto him but like I said his atittude by halfway through is bad and when you make the choice I feel the only reasonable thing is to turn him in. I may feel differently when I actually get up to it but we'll see.

I'm going to miss being able to see the stars when I finish the astronomy tables and I'm surprised they didn't map the constellations you find onto that starfield in the astronomy tower

@graceful tinsel You need to follow the map, it triggers things. Basically your heading along the river heading to the west stay a bit above it and you'll hit the various landmarks till you reach an abandoned castle then go south to a bandit camp caslte near hte korrow ruins

that's a really weird one you can fix them near the start of the game but the person who gives you the quest to fix them doesn't show up till winter well into it. Just carry on and when they show up you can complete hte quest without going anywehre

Not really a conflict I think. Jackdaw is trying to impress a girl and sets her a series of challenges to follow him then gets killed. Anne fails to follow them and Astonia blames her for Jackdaws murder when his ghost shows up

yes, normally what you can do is just do the map wait twice (maybe once) and they respawn

i think if you just sit at the den and do the map wait they don't respawn, you have to go somewhere else and come back

not exactly sure how it works but i alternate between two different dens and do the map wait when i farm beasts for gold

and it's basically an infinite number of beasts

There are quite a few dialogue options where what you pick and what you say don't line up.

Text: "I think we should stay together and back each other up."

I'll offer a different perspective. It is true that he definitely asks you for your help. But really, every companion (and most quest givers) do that. I don't see anything wrong with asking a friend for help for a good cause, and I actually see it as a positive that he's helping you with your investigation too (the other companions don't do that). Let's not forget that you asked him for his help sneaking into the restricted section and he did help you without any promise of reward, and actually willingly fell on his own sword to help you. I also don't think he's as manipulative as some folks peg him to be. If he were truly manipulative, he wouldn't blow up on you for involving a goblin, he just would have told you what you wanted to hear so you could keep helping him. I read him as impulsive at times, and definitely having some character flaws, but I don't read him as manipulative or trying to exploit MC in a negative way

@unkempt delta Its the timing if it hadn't been "I apologise" followed immeidately by "OH by the way help me do what you've been arguing against from the start" it wouldn't have the same vibe. Give me a few quests or something in between but as is it feels like he apologized only to get help with something he know's I don't want to do.

I also think I may need to rescind my comments about slytherin's not being jerks in this time period. First the ones trying to rip off a Kneazles whiskers for a few galleons and now a trio who burnt a first year hufflepuff's "book?" and defend themselves with "he's a half blood sir."
