There is a treasure vault in the lake near Keenbridge. I can dive to get in there. But inside i cannot move to the treasure. Instead of swimming the avatar is flying and stucks between some rocks and i'm not able to free him (except via the map to a floo flame). Has anybody an idea what to do?

For me, my disappointment is with FO76 (I am a Bethesda fanboi afterall, or was...) good lord the buggy mess... But looking at the engine utilized and the source code, its a miracle that they even managed to make the game run at all... Creation Engine is NOT meant to be a multiplayer engine, thats just stupid and ridiculous

@proud eagle The onnyx hippogriff is the black one named Caligo you get at the same time as the regular one. How far are you in the game? Things unlock as you play through it . . . broomstick, hippogriff + preoorder mounts, final mount. Depending on where you are you may not be able to use the mounts yet. If you have unlocked them then its in the gear options above the broomstick selection and you pick one the same way you change broomsticks or wand handles

Part of me thinks perhaps only the one who cast the blood curse can undo it. Pure speculation though

Perhaps a potion of pheonix tears and/or unicorn blood maybe

both really hard to get and the latter puts you under another curse though we dunno what kind. And i'm unsure if said curse only applies if the person who drinks the blood actually killed the unicorn and/or willingly drinks the blood or not. I'd wonder if magic has a way of not cursing people who did not partake in the killing or were forced to do it or forced to drink the blood.

Not to mention the complete and utter disregarding of established lore. THough I don't know how much is the showrunners not caring (likely given they said replacing directors with female directors would fix it somehow) and how much is them just not having hte rights

hopefully the games success will convicne HBO sticking to lore is good for the bank and adult entertainment (as in entertainment aimed at an adult audience not activites that require consenting adults to perform) has a valid market

there's rumours about it. HBO is looking at the money it made and considering it might make a new franchise as a tv show given the problems with fantastic beasts.

One advantage/disadvantage is the MC of the TV show wont be our characters but all the other characters have no relation to previous shows or at least not directly so they can be adapted from the game into new figures without needing to be linked by McGonnagal cameo's or Dumbledore saving the day . . . hmmmm no they wouldn't make him the MC of the show

Fantastic beasts had a lot of issues outside the movies and inside them. One example was the third movie was basically about politics but we got nearly zero actual politics. From start to end all we knew about the people going for rulership of the wizarding world (and I mean world as in not just england but everywhere which has . . . issues) is that they were not grindlewald

to be fair a lot of older kids stuff is good to watch but the stuff they make now is being made to the idea of "child" so its not doing well. As once you step out of that child mindset even to preteen it becomes unwatchable. Older stuff had serious themes like a gargoyle playing with a police officers gun and shooting them resulting in them going to hospital or jokes/references that'd go over a young kids head but an adult rewatching it can enjoy and go "oh man I can't believe I missed that as a kid."

Theory time.

Officer Singer was Harlow's Lover. And that's why she never did anything to stop him or Rookwoods gang.

Firstly how are two known Criminal's able to wander Hogsmeade so freely? Plus they even have a base in the town. Sounds like something a Law Enforcement officer should know. Not to mention it's said that The Ashwinders extorted protection money out of the shopkeepers. How is Singer allowing this to happen? Unless she's getting a cut.

Also we learn during Natsai's questline Harlow is blackmailing a worker at Gladrags for fine clothing for 'His Lady Friend'. This 'lady friend' is never mentioned again. Weird no?

Last reason I think this. At the end of the fight with Harlow. After he casts Crucio. Singer looks STUNNED. It's likely she didn't truly realise the kind of man Harlow is until that moment.

As she’s part of the DMLE it could be that she’s simply not been given the Ho ahead by the Ministry to sort them out.

Without that authority she risks herself and any other officers that help her, into going to jail, and also possibly that Harlow would be let go with a slap on the wrist because she didn’t follow protocol.

Plus she’s one person and Harlow and Rookwood aren’t afraid of using Unforgivable curses while she simply wouldn’t ever even dream of using them.

Personally, I think Singer just is overworked. She wants to investigate Harlow, but is blocked by the DMLE due to Rookwood being behind it all and stonewalling her.

She is aware of the issue, but also under threats of being reassigned if she moves too much, so does not want to investigate things like poaching, as she believes she can do more good elsewhere.

But it would be nice to check if Singer appears with a new scarf during the game at some point

Like Rowling directly said in Interview one of the traits of Slytherin is self preservation. Doesn’t really go hand in hand with that.

Plus book canon as well as most other non-fanon material is full of counter examples. Draco leaving a friend to die in the RoR, Slughorn keeping his actions a secret by shame,…

On the other hand, Hufflepuff was not defined as Nice first, but Loyal. Like in the first sorting hat song, on pottermore,…

And they are not nice to everyone. Have you seen their actions towards Harry in books 2 and 4?

Sebastian is not really that loyal. He’s mostly loyal to Anne, and helps you because he believes it will help him as well. His devotion to Anne eclipses everything else, to the point where he would kill you if needed to cure Anne.

Ominis, I agree, is quite loyal. Though not (much) more than the MC as he is hesitating about sending Sebastian to Azkaban, and would have acted sooner against Sebastian without the MC. As he says in his conversations with you.

I would have let Sebastian study, well actually I'd have kept my damn mouth shut and let him think the student stole the artifact but if I didn't do that I'd have let him study it but have Ominious hold it. If Sebastian wants ot use it he has to convicne ominious its a good idea first

He doesn’t help you for free getting into the library, he says it is a favor that he does to you that you will repay later.

As for helping you, he says so when finding the first canvas. He says that this could help his sister.

The uncle was overboard, I do agree. But Sebastian was truly not helping matters, and the goal of the uncle was to avoid Sebastian mistakenly turning to the dark arts.

Like Sebastian’s path is very close to Dark Vader in a way.

This ancient dude (Slytherin) plays up his fear for his sister to get him to delve deeper and deeper into the dark side of the force (dark magic) to corrupt him and get him to commit an unspeakable act (pseudo-controlling the inferii, killing his uncle).

I think it has more to do with certain constraints when it came to production. They just either couldn't afford to or had enough time to write, develop, and produce multiple cutscenes, triggers, and scenarios for all the different choices you make.

yeah i agree with Crucio. also one thing about that is you can choose to learn it not cast it, making it seem like your character aint that malevolent. then the imperio is also the MC asking if its ok to cast, and wouldnt do it otherwise. but then theres the killing curse which comes to two choices "no one should learn this curse" and "everyone should learn this curse"

On a note other than Sebastian I've recently found out about the keepers wand. To determine if I should restart the game (I made wand choices I don't particularly like to fit with ancient magic). So can someone who's finished the game answer these questions three. . .

  1. Is it it one off i.e destroyed or otherwise consumed after use.

  2. Does it replace our custom wand, can we sawp between them or do we just bring out the ancient one in certain conditions but technically have them both even though we use our own one.

  3. Is it tied more to ancient magic or specifically to the main story?

@zenith abyss Thanks by one time use I meant more in world than in game. As in most magical or scientific mcguffins you get can only be used once then they're broken/drained of power/stars are no longer right. So is the wand only able ot be used once in the world or if it were real would you character still have and be able to use it in the future? For example book harry ||still has the elder wand in addition to his own so he can use it if needed while movie harry breaks it and only has his own wand.||

Is it just me, or is the power from the repository, being the pain of other people and all that, very similar to the Obscurus parasite? it is also a kind of pain, but suppressed magic over time. It has the same raw strength, colors and shape. Just thought that was an interesting view on it, and I can't see anyone commenting on it either 🤔

Seems different. Obscurus is literally the suppressed magic turning into a dark parasitical entity that kills the person. This is just Isadora extracting emotional pain and emotions in general from people, which corrupts the magic and then her either getting high off of it when she absorbs it like a drug or containing it in Goblin silver, the latter of which allows those who cannot normally wield it to harness it and control beasts with it who normally cannot be controlled by magic.

I suppose so, yeah. It was interesting to see however, when you see how the goblins and Ranrok wields it, it has that same obscure, destructive power that, if you have enough of it in you, can cause a great deal of damage

The game was fun, but the writing was weird. Way too much "wtf moment".

  • Main story : Lodgok saying that he wanted to bring you the book. Then why you go near the enemy, in a cave, without hiding it ...
  • Sebastian : maybe the most weird story. It's Manichean : if you try to defend him, even if you don't use unforgivable spells and say to him that it's not good, the quest consider that you are the same than Sebastian. And there was no reason to kill his uncle...
  • Natty : So you face the big boss, and then suddenly you turn around so he can near kill you xD
  • Poppy quest was okey

They should have focus mainly (or only ?) on friendship quests. They were really interesting, and it doesn't feel like you are overpowered ... You are just a schoolchild.

It's just that it doesn't seem you can change something in Sebastian quest. He does bad thing, and you can either say "yeah he is a bad guy, we should punish him or "no dark magic is good". But well, yeah he could use something else, but he saved his sister for example
