I always thought it was weird how everyone was so certain Anne was incurable. Like maybe it's just me but in a world of magic and so much uncharted territory I find it strange for something to be incurable. It's like saying you can't cure cancer. But it's just that we haven't yet found the cure

Phoenix can’t be bred. Everything else can. Certain beasts only have one spawn in the den at a time, so you have to go back numerous times til you get a make and female

Yea I think there is a quest that takes you to the bell tower to fix the bells. It's a side quest. I fixed them before knowing it was even a side quest so I didn't go back up there it just had me talk to the person twice but I'm sure once you do that one it'll unlock the page.

Hello everyone! After 40hrs of gameplay I finished the Story all the way to the ||True Ending||. I want to share my thought on the game and a review:
First the positive:

• It is a magic focused game with only 26 spells, yet it feels like the mechanics perfectly fit so it is never boring even if repetitive at some time
• Open World, they did an amazing job by making you able to go with a Broom anywhere so travel doesn't feel tedious yet make you get down from the broom to truly explore the places and solve the world puzzles
• Combat, it is amazing. You can really feel the magic dueling part and you are not truly overpowered in the sense that you can just 1-shot everything. Elite monsters and mini-bosses are really cool
• Enemy weaknesses, the game making you plan ahead of the fight or making you switch spells mid fight because the enemies are weak to something or certain animations are part of an opening to exploit really makes the battle flow excel
• Side quests, every side quest makes it feel like the NPCs are unique and have their own problems
• Side characters, they really feel alive and have deepness to them (Natty is an exception at least to me)
• Magic Beasts, they feel alive and have a really nice mechanic to them
• Poppy (no need to say more)

As for the negatives... my message is being deleted for some reason. But I would rate 7.5/10

• Ran rok, ||being the last boss made it feel too obvious, I was expecting some kind of twist that would make it more interesting||
• The last boss ||why a Dragon?|| There is no explanation of many things in game specially ||why the dark ancient magic transforms Ran rok into a Dragon, it made no sense and there was not even a goblin form fight||
• Sebastian's story ||his sister is never cures, I guess there is not always a happy ending to this things but didn't really feel like an ending to her||
• Har low and Rook wood, If Har low is the henchman of Rook wood, ||why must we kill Rook wood before Har low? It's like killing the dungeon boss to then see a mid-boss after the fight||
• The ||True Ending||, I guess it had to happen but it would have been nice to actually ||have points that count towards your house and win||
• Professor Fig, ||I was really expecting him to be a traitor, there were many moments in the game which made him feel like a dubious character and would have made for a better story than just dying at the end for nothing||
• Headmaster, ||he could have just not been there and there wouldn't be an issue at all with the story, for being the headmaster, he literally had no role at all||
• Beast mounts, they are no better than the broom, actually they are worse and there is no advantage to actually having them
• Isadora, ||she was killed? Just like that? they wasted a potential villain||

But it's inevitable that Anne and Sebastian will have a falling out.||

I'd say the only other thing I can think of that seemed off was the way they glossed over classes and how spells were taught. They had professors teach us stuff, but why was the beasts professor teaching me an exploding charm and had no hand whatsoever in teaching me about beasts. Why did anyone but the DATDA and Charms professors teach them? Professor Sharp should've taught me all the different potions, vs me getting recipes from vendors. Beast professor should've been the one teaching me about beasts, not Deek.

The ends are purely based on the choices you make in the ending not any choices prior to it. Using unforgivable curses makes no effect on the gameplay and only effects that part of the story to some extent. Learning the spells has no detriment

That actually is very very unfortunate and a missed opportunity. There are several missed opportunities in the game.

Eh the game is so utterly fantastic and we were warned theres no morality system so idc. Lots of rpgs choose to compartmentalize choices- this one at least characters in side quests will sometimes reference things u did in the main story if you did that first (companions mention how u took down x character in x storyline)

I admit there's a few quality of life things I'd like like a text label for hair/eye colour as some of them are hard to see in character creation. I've also had random passing students comment on side quest choices

I was able to get the third Hogwarts secret early in the game lol once you can pick locks and learn flying you can fly to the top of hogwarts tower and grab the key. However without stairs the statue is in the way to leave so you have to go the long way to access the door

No need to wait for the headmaster to allow you access to his chamber

Xenobia Stoke? the 1st year who had her gobstones stolen if you return them all you get a wand handle from her called purple orbicular that's a purple spiral thing. I think I picked up a silver bird one from antoehr quest

you can still get the twitch ones by linking and then wathcing participating streams for the time requirement. Merlin cloak so far has only been on the pre-release and release streams. I think the twitch stuff stops being avialable on feb 24

Depends on how will you progress main story, I took my time in-between unforgivable spells so would say 10h but you can probably push it to 1 or 2. Do all Sebastian quests, when there is no more progress story a bit, then Sebastian quests popped up for me again.

You need the leaves to activate them, and then there’s a puzzle or something similar. The object you need to interact with are usually revealed in blue through Revelio and then you could throw everything at them and see what sticks?

coding made it probably a combo attack, that will be executed no matter what, so the second hit goes direkt on you if u dont shield or dodge again

it really depends on the enemies you are facing, as each enemy has its own "critical combo"

I know this so well. I also cant lock down spell layouts that I like. At the very least the utility spells (reparo, wingardium leviosa etc) and the beast-handling abilities need to be swapped back and forth...

Glacius+diffindo/bombarda feels like the highest damage combo, and you might as well have Accio there since you need it so often.

The problem is made worse because you want to use different spells against different enemies.
btw there is a "builds" channel now. You might want to take this discussion there.

yeah, i just want to try to avoid just using spells and switching through the groups, im currently running on the first group incendio diffindo glacio and accio and on the second one expelliarmus bombarda transfiguration (with bomb barrel talent) and depulso but i can decide which one to use or if to change it p

Because there are LOT of utility spells and abilities you need for puzzle solving, and you want to use many different spells against different enemies. And then there are the high-damage combos.
Expelliarmus is good against pensieve sentinels,
Incendio you need against Inferi
Levioso+diffindo one-shots those toads (I admit Ive never done this cause the spell pages)
depulso works great when enemies stand on ledges
and then there are the high damage combos like
glacius+diffindo
levioso+descendo
then there are the unforgivables, and that you want to have specific spells to trigger the curses and their traits.
And then there are important ones you need basically always like lumos, disillusionment
And then there are the myriad spells you need for puzzle solving like depulso, accio, wingardium leviosa, levioso, confringo, etc.

The problem is that there is not a single spell or ability that is useless 😂

I also have 4 slots, in each I have a violet spell, red spell, yellow spell
in 3 of them i have the green spell and in the last one the last red spell

When I go for puzzle solving, I just switch this last red spell to the utility spell that is needed

Man, out of all the characters, I think Amit has to be the most annoying. I'm doing the goblin mine mission right now, and I swear to god he's said "I can't believe we're in a real goblin mine!" 3 different ways in less than 3 minutes
