as I understand it, you play a part of the main quest, sidequests pop up, you do the sidequests, and then you progress main story again, then more sidequests pop up, etc. But also, if you didn't do sidequests and you progress main quest, those sidequests will lock up again if I remember correctly

The issue would mainly be with animating so many creature animations for patronus so I can see why it's not a feasible idea right now. The only way would be to limit the types of patronus but that can take a bit away from people and might not be a good idea either.

Maybe a generic shape animation could help. Honestly though I would like being able to get the animagus skill. It's not needed but it would be nice :v

As a note, unlike Mass Effect, I have a feeling this game will be more like Dragon Age in the cause and Effect department. Mass Effect based lots of its choices on its morality system, since HL doesn't have that, it'll probably base it on individual choices like Dragon Age

Well i'm including the decision's where even the smallest side quest ican give you tidbits or even rewards in the game if you do it well. The only "Morality" would just be the Paragon and Renegade which would usually give you the same benefits tbh.

The suicide mission was one of the most difficult, and stressful thing to do in Mass effect.

Especially when I had to do it twice cause I accidentally realize that I rejected Tali at the last second.
