I couldn't agree more with Lexie. You can't (usually) choose the ping to your location. So you should not be prevented from participating in tournaments.
It's still extremely annoying, because the ping in Naraka really plays a big role and strongly affects the way you play (at least on console).
Anyone who thinks otherwise, that a high ping doesn't give you advantages is simply wrong.
It annoys me more that Sam doesn't want to see and denies that he has these advantages because of his ping, than his ping itself.

Rain also has a high ping (comparatively). Strangely that no one ever complains about Rain's ping? It's because it happens very rarely with that he is lagging/teleporting. With Sam, you actually have this problem in every tournament in every round. I avoid him most of the time when I know it's him, because I know in advance that the fights against him are just no fun.

I think the organization of the tournaments decides correctly that they do not deny Sam the participation. It is rather Sam's own decision to participate and to live with getting on some people's nerves with the ping.

Btw I also think Sam is a really good Naraka player, but I would like to know how the fights would turn out if he had the same ping as me (13ms).

The only time I lagged in a tournament was the smack tournament from which , I literally willingly left because it felt unfair for the other players

I understand you guys when you are complaining about fighting someone who is teleporting, it is true that I play at 75 - 85 ping but I can't not do anything about it, it's the naraka servers because in other games like Fortnite, call of duty , rainbow six I play at 40-70 ping
But for a player with 80 Ms saying that he is teleporting in every fight I don't agree with this and I think it's a server problem because when I play 1v1 against pc players they don't have any problems with me teleporting in fights but when I fight against Xbox players they sometimes say that they saw me teleport for 1 second but it's really really really really really really rare and it's only happens against specific players and it doesn't change the outcome of the fight
I don't deny that high ping give advantage but from my view it doesn't not , and also you guys need to understand that for me too I have lots of disadvantages with my ping like people catching me in my blue form , grapples combo not working , parrying inside my blue attack, taking damages from a blue attacks that I dodged.........

There should be a separate server for the EGL tourneys with guidelines. You need to join this server since it's mandatory to join a discord voice channel during the tournament.

But to sum it up: when it's time to check in, you'll receive an e-mail. Then login with your EGL account and press the yellow check-in button. In the lobby info page you'll then receive a password for the assigned custom room.

i had to find out that you have to check in manually from typing in the egl website into google and refreshing the page to get the check in option to pop up. All due to the link through discord being broken. I wish i would’ve known that and maybe i could’ve been competing today.

Someone should also look into fixing the website so it works better on mobile. Considering only 27 out of the 55 people got to play today.

Hello! I’d like to address a few things. Once you sign up, you will be required to check in before the tourney and you will be DMed by a bot to do so. In case check in is not required, the bot automatically checks you in and you will receive another DM with the room name and the password for it. Regardless if the tourney requires check in or not, the bot will send you the room details. In case there’s an issue, please DM the room host OR me OR @fast girder BEFORE the tourney starts so we can address it and let you guys in. In case you did not receive the password for the game, please let us know what bot messages you have so we can look into the issue, as some people did get the room details and they signed in.

Please, CHECK THE SERVER the tourney is for. We do not allow server hoppers UNLESS they created the game account for the wrong server. If you created your account in the wrong server, we will need a picture with your ping PRIOR to the start of the tourney.

At the bottom of the EGL tournament page it has all of the information and rules. If your location is different than your acc then you'd have to prove it, right? Most services require you to provide a mailing address, passport, actual documents or bills with your name and address, a live feed with VPNs disabled and a test to see your ms/s rate
