Oh, never mind, just figured it out. The loadout screen is highly innacurate and rounds it down for some reason no matter what, whereas the storeroom gives you your loadout value down to the single digits 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, same here. Completing boss challenges and opening gold chests basically always give me nothing. The purple chests and ordinary containers is where I usually get good stuff 🤔

Like, I've gotten two karma lotus candleholders today just by farming ent strongholds, whereas rushing golden chests has never given me a large item of legendary or higher value. Only ever in the purple chests

Learn to play neutral better, as well as some combos/mix ups. And also Heng Sword is a really good mind-game cheese (even against bots!) because its horizontal charge can be cancelled into other attacks for parry-bait combos

And there's a pretty busted Heng Sword rubric in Rift Traversal that'll catch the enemy by surprise, where a crouching vertical attack (for air combos and whatnot) will become a focus attack that deals very decent damage. It's very hard to predict and counter, too

But the most important thing is also gear. As I said, I won because I had a stupidly high health bar on top of armour that was replenished by Skyforce whenever I got the final hit in, so I was pretty much nigh immortal lol

Speaking of katana, I discovered something new (personally, at least) while using it earlier, which I'm not sure if its exclusive to Rift Traversal or not. But with the gold katana and higher, after triggering the special charge move, you can change weapons and it'll give you a special lunging focus attack with a bit of time delay to fake out enemies that are expecting the followup attack
