Don't play randoms.

If you want aggro/dueling games, you have to play with PK'ers/aggro teammates who don't care about losing gear.

Or who are confident that they'll win fights and not lose gear.

Most players won't fight and avoid combat because they're afraid of losing gear.

Especially for Doomed. If you lose even just epics, it's about a 1.3 million Void Coin setback.

Do that enough and you'll end up bankrupt.

It's difficult, there are a lot of scummy players who use valid but frustrating tactics.

One I've fell for before is when people leave the bottom weight puzzle vault closed.

So how this works is that if you're playing super safe, you'll rat vaults that are close to you or the far vaults like Yushan and Tang.

You may be curious/cautious and check the more risky vaults in Plumed for activity.

You'll notice none of them have been touched.

So you go in thinking you're in a bot game or you're just lucky they haven't gotten to it yet

then as soon as you crack open the vault or the center chest or solve the statue puzzle, a trios will come in and kill you then take the chest.

It's kind of scummy because they literally don't do anything else, they don't loot nearby chests that show someone was nearby, they don't do Roc or other quests to show that there are other players.

It's low-key valid griefing where its not cheating or unfair play, BUT they aren't being loot efficient; they just want to frustrate you for the lulz

What I think they should put in is equipment protection.

For anything lower than Legendary.

But high level/ranked players risk a lot to lose if they bring Legendaries and Celestials

The reason why that risk has to be put in is because the only reason you bring in that level of gear is to PK.

PK is actually necessary at higher ranks like Reaper to climb the ladder

Similar to how BR Ranked stops giving points for ratting to top 5

Most players won't be interested ranking past Reaper since that's where the loot stops

But yeah, make it punishing for high ranked players because they want that high risk/high reward gameplay

And put forgiveness for lower players or lower gear players so they can play the economy game instead

Anyway, to more positive things

Search speed has dramatically increased

As well as controller support for looting which helps a lot

You submit Seasonal Relics of high value in your camp to bring your Value Score up

I think it's like 160k points to max out and then get the exclusive Mole Hook Skin

If I'm not mistaken, you can only submit only ONE authentic relic per type

Meaning you have to make sure that all 7 unique Seasonal Relics have the highest score you can possibly submit.

This is why the Dragon Warhorn thingy is selling for 270 million on SEA. Its value makes up for the majority of the 160k you need

Additionally, once appraised, it's bound to you

So you can't resell bad ones either
