for the grapple part you need minimum 65 fps, for the dash part there are no specific requirements
It could be the way of the combo with grappler, with the other weapons I can do "hit-dodge-hit-uppercut", but with the dual weapons, I can't, I'm forced to use "hit-uppercut"

their uppercut animation is too slow compared to other weapons, meaning that a shorter stagger like the one after the second lmb is not long enough to keep the enemy in place
meaning that they can dodge out
this is what you can do with dual blades; only 1 attack into uppercut etc.
if u do it right u can also connect the followup focus, but it needs fps and precise camera control, which i didnt need when i recorded this clip back in the day 👍

Guys, I am kylin main who is better in short range fast M1 weapons like fan dual harb or nan chuk but weapon like longsword feels especially slow so I try to avoid that but when I imperial longsword I got confused I should prefer weapon I am proficient with or the highest tier weapon for max dmg as kylin ult with imperial longsword is much stronger then purple or gold fan or such weapon
And is it me or blue charging blue focus for fan is faster then katan or longsword, whenever I get into 1v1 with fan as compared to other weapon my horizontal charged fan hits first, compared to katan hein or longsword with which it feels a lot of time to charge,
red weapon doesn't increase your slash dmg that much compare to gold weapon, in fact it's very little, so it doesn't matters. If you already got a gold weap just use it
if you don't have a gold weap but purple and you want to use the purple weap for weapon fighting and red sword for V you could always put the red sword at 2nd slot and swap to it when you're about to V

diff weapon got diff blue charging time yes, projectile speed and hitbox are also not the same, fps and ping are huge factors too
sure if you don't like to play with ls
did a quick test in training room and 1 V slash with red sword does 407 dmg while gold sword does 400 dmg so the difference is just 1.7%
almost non exist

also it feels like it depends on ur stance too, with some weapons a hold dodge into charge feels quicker than and standing charge
but eh with the existence of ping and fps in the equation it doesn't matters anymore
same input same timing same amount of time but some people are able to blue armor themselves while some couldn't

The time it takes to reach 1.0 is identical across all releases I believe
There was a short period where fistblades reached 1.0 faster than all weapons, but I'm p sure that got removed
However there are definitely significant differences on hold duration
Staff/Spear can hold their releases like ~800ms longer than most other weapons, before being forced to release
idk sometimes it just feels like it took me alot longer to reach 1st stage blue compare to my opponent lol
like our blues clashed then we both immediately hold again and release 1.0 asap but it did not result in a clash but his attack hits me as if i didn't release

Idk about fps, I think there might a difference between clashing and buffering the focus hold vs timing it

This for sure, for example PS rmb hold feels insanely slow, but it's actually in line with other focus holds

Similar to how vs certain attack lines, spamming is inconsistent asf but timing works fine
the thing is if ur fps is bad you have to spam it to have a chance for the inputs actually gets recognized

In the end, the only thing that rly matters for carousel is where the enemy is relative to you when you do the first rmb of the rmb->lmb->rmb focus chain
But there are A LOT of factors that influence that
Sideways/forwards/backwards float, distance to enemy when uppercutting, framerate/ping, your W input

i manage to get it somewhat consistent by holding A when i grapple and only let it go after my first rmb hit, also delay the rmb input abit
grapple bumped onto target then delay abit then rmb
but sometime that very first rmb just miss the target completely or knock the target too far away or come out too late and idk why
more like i know what caused it but there's no way to fix it
but i don't play solo so these combos are not really important to me
it's just funny that 100 fps with some minor stutters will make basic grapple combo fails, like, literally the most basic combo will fail on a fps that is considered good on any other games

you rubberbanded the bot with the spear 1st h blue btw
if you can hit other weapon 1st blue it should be true for spear too, bcoz spear has always had this issue
where you distance to target must be close enough else your h blue will miss
spear basic ground grapple combo also affected by this, so the distance between you and target when you hit them with 1st light attack and the grapple position is extremely important
if i'm not literally kissing the target when my 1st horizontal light attack hit, the grapple combo will fail
damn I do see it. Hm okok so if I dare to inventory swap(nunnies into spear was bloody hard to get) to it, I need to be as close as possible for a chance

The burn effect of flamebringer has an internal cooldown of roughly 30s
Which is insanely long
but also good
Jades such as assault smolder do not have an internal burn cooldown, and they can be an absurd pain in the ass

Nothing, at the end of the day it's not possible, I tryed it
You are most likely doing the grapple and a few inputs too slow, meaning that the bump is also going to be low, and there is no space for the uppercut
If u can share a clip, I can be more specific, what said above is the most common mistake from people that just started combos, take it as a general advice 👍👍

You are good with grapple, but wait too much before the uppercut
Need to time it, cannot pre hold
The second the bump happens, the uppercut animation should start, especially on LS it s really fluid

There are a few ways to modify it, but it does only add 200 dmg max, if u don't go into 211 shenanigans

If you want yoto hime combos I recommend checking out Longnotes' channel, since they are insane with it
But definitely don't fix on yoto specific combos as things to learn early, they are really hard to pull off and usually require also a lot of fls

ye the parries are shit
but there are 3 stages of the parry that happen one after another
first ur character does the animation, then the character glows red, then there is a red flash in front of your character
your parry is only active when the red flash is finished
it's shitty, but that's how it works
i know
all robbed parries can be chalked up to the red flash
every time it makes me swear at the screen but it is how it is
what i'm saying is the red flash happens early or late depend on the ping

that's why 10ms players can parry on reaction

and although dodge parry is the fastest parry in the game
when i reached a certain ping even dodge parry won't work anymore
on my clip my ping is 80-85
at this ping everything must be done by guessing

and that put me on massive disadvantage because we all know what happens when you do too much predictions not to mention predictions alone
keep predict parrying 1st stage blue and i gonna ate alot of lights

I remember people talked about using vertical advantage
after her block, you can avoid her counter with jump and grapple to avoid getting caught. Outside of that, if you playing team mode, using range while having someone pressure her V also help since she takes more range damage during her block
I might be a heck lot out of touch since I haven't played this game for 3 months but I hope it help

It's well explained; only thing I'd add is to try and mainly dodge the followup, since after the buff she has away more room to hit you since she can aim and delay it 👍

This doesn’t apply anymore since she can aim it since a few patches ago.
run away for her entire ult, parry and shoot her without staggering her, burn or poison her, or deplete all of her blocks and try to guess when she uses them
if you parry her and she still has blocks and your plan isn't to deplete them all, make sure to only shoot her
you can also apply hard CC like temulch F or viper stun
gives you some free hits, but only while that CC applies
This is a super cool ult with lots of interactions

somebody with halberds sooo hard to catch 😳 or some dudes are just extra slippery...
if they got dragonlike might they move fast yea, but to quick escape fan/dagger is the best due to their extremely fast scale rush animation

some are a bit weird, but if you are doing such an attack it means that you are inputting too early

cuz if i do it early it doesnt uppercut and if i wait it doesnt lauch them again
this is how it should be
you need to time it precisely
the grapple position impacts the following grapple bump, meaning that if it's done correctly you will have the time to, if not, the enemy will be too low and you wont have the possibility to double uppercut
holding crouch all the way after the bump helps me usually, until the second uppercut is off
but then again, timing is key here
and try to keep the grapple as centered as possible

What grapple settings change is what you have to press to release it
Mostly for combos and gameplay people prefer the middle option, but all work

You need to wait for char to touch the ground is not like the blue hold that you can buffer, you cannot do a launcher in the air but you can blue charge in the air, so the buffer will not carry you here

you should buffer the blue atk
this is because you are pressing the crouch before time
as I said you cannot buffer much here
you do not press em at the same time
you first crouch then next frame you vertical, if you crouch too early you will get normal vertical if you press vertical too early you will get aereal

Weird thing I notice while doing this is holding A or D when you attempt to do uppercut after bump will result in situation like this. Try doing it without holding A or D, if your timing is precise enough, it should work

i would recommend maybe starting with katana or longsword from the ones you mentioned, mostly due to the fact that they are more "basic" and you can practice neutral and hold checking better with them 👍
but aside from that, anything that feels cool is worth learning
katana is the best weapon for new players
it teaches all the important concepts, and you won't overrely on OP special mechanics
it's considered the training weapon and perfect for that purpose
it's not recommended to main dagger as a new player
it has many unique properties that don't carry over onto other weapons, so if you onetrick it, all other weapons will feel bad, and you first have to unlearn dagger habits before learning other weapons
i learnt the game on dagger and i wouldn't do it again if i could start over

There is greatsword and katana (Greatsword because Polesword is better and Katana because Heng is better. Still they both viable in good hand)

I have a wooting as well and I just don’t touch directional inputs when doing the basic grapple combo without issue. I never roll on my combos so I don’t think the keyboard is at fault, but since it is very sensitive you might be activating a key press without meaning to
You should checkout Prosp3rs stream, he’s a combo player with 60ish ping. A lot of combos are still available at that ping but some do require high FPS

In naraka your animation speed is tied to FPS. So some of the more complex/long combos aren’t possible below a certain FPS threshold since the animations won’t play fast enough even if your inputs are correct
is that the reason why most player moving so fast?
if youre low fps and see someone who has 300+ yeah it will look like they are moving too fast
but a common cheat in naraka is also micro acceleration, which speeds up animations
hard to tell if someone is just nasa pc or if they are actually moving too fast
my fps is around 80-90 is it considered low?

I can maybe watch the vid later once I'm home, but for Eranicks, a grapple restand refers to restanding an enemy through whatever means and staggering them with a grapple before they can defend themselves (for example through dodging)
It doesn't mean the grapple is what actually restands them

It's pretty standard 🤔
All swaps are instant, but you need to wait for the right timing
An optimal example would be 211 (double swap Combo that allows a focus attack after an uppercut without using grapples)
You swap once at the tip of the uppercut (end of animation), dash, swap again cancelling the dash
Basically you can swap weapon when in what I would love to call a "resting status" (character doing nothing with the weapon)
You get this by jumping, since it resets your movement, dashing, crouching,...
In all those moments you can swap a weapon
That or at the end of an animation

The swap they were doing in the video is mostly timing 👍
Some other people that can most likely write this in better words will prolly correct me in a while to make everything clearer, sry if it's a bit tortuous 😅)

I would recommend starting from basic grapple combos tho, it's a more basic step
Swap combos are usually less effective and harder to execute

bot always dodges the basic soft true dagger combo
Cuz 1 horizontal from staff is 2 hits, meaning toothpick is 4 hits

it might just be a super super tight true combo
it works 1/10 times for me on the bot
4 hits don't allow for an uppercut usually, especially a slow one such as staff 🤔

If they are holding focus, lit up with the blue light, light attacks and grapples don’t stagger. So they are probably holding rmb or lmb when you grapple them, then grappling you back mid air as that’s when you are vulnerable.
It's a right window, you pretty much need to grapple him when he's still in the grapple
If in blue focus, as they said before, you won't stagger them

Full focusses after floats are like 10x easier on players compared to bots anyway

Personally, after the initial swap I input 2x quick hold dodges, it helps me set the timing correct. First one will be ignored, second one executed

You will always do a roll after a grapple if you do nothing. Either hold the focus already during the grapple animation to overwrite the action(kind of) or a/d or press quickly cntrl. + W during the grapple

yeah the mechanic behind it is if you input swap while tap crouching your character will stand up immediately
it does, but you do it with db + katana because it's an effective combo
db v has long reach and is good at catching your opponent

but the stagger is short so you can't start a combo off it
so you swap to kata and do a h which has long stagger for a combo start

but db also has the follow up v blue after charged v blue
so the combo is db v > swap > kata h > uppercut > grapple > swap back to db > 1st charge vertical > vertical

you can either to horizontal into horizontal and then jump horizontal or, horizontal into vertical into crouch horizontal into jump vertical

Musket, pistol, bow are good for their quick damage output. You can switch to it, shoot, switch back very fluidly.
In team modes you can use any ranged weapon tbh
And cannon is really good too, just a bit slow and not as long range

musket is good too
musket shots can't be deflected like arrows
but it has different projectile speed and trajectory so learning to use these weapons are separate skills
bow just feels much more consistent, i think musket has first shot inaccuracy where it won't hit the same pixel on every shot even if you don't move your mouse

is that a mechanic to swap faster what are the other benefits to this worth learning or not
yeah its worth but pretty hard if youre new, its called 211 so if you put that on youtube search
im in the process of learning it myself atm and all the input timings are pretty tight so it takes time to learn
but its faster to execute than basic grapple combo so it is (or would be) useful. 
Weapon swapping isn’t just 211, there’s also combos between staff/spear and a heavy sword. Also works with longsword into heavy sword as well.
So weapon swapping isn’t always with the purpose of a focus release from the “main” weapon
There’s also faster ways to swap to range weapons, like crouch or jump swap to take them out faster if you’re trying to get the last hit on a low opponent

Yeah, you can swap to a heavy sword after a longsword uppercut
It’s not as common with longsword, but before spear and staff had a grapple combo it was popular for very quick high dmg since even light attacks from heavy swords do a lot of dmg
But iirc, if you catch properly with polesword off the swap you can confirm the 2nd blue attack since heavy swords go into blue on the 2nd light
Not sure if the same is true for GS as I never experimented with GS myself

I was practicing it in free training awhile ago but I’m not a heavy sword enjoyer so I don’t have in game clips of it

Yeah it’s just a hold dodge swap after the uppercut
The timing on it is probably even easier now with the increased uppercut for staff/spear that allows the grapple combos for those weapons
Most weapons can be swapped to off uppercut, jades or no jades and its faster combo than the basic grapple. Can be hit on 60 fps and you can get creative with it, say a fan uppercut into jabbing 
I learned from this video and havent looked back its most of what I do now
If you're curious about the title, the only reason I bothered going through all this effort is because I'm too lazy to drag and drop my bow multiple times during combat; so I was never interested in weapon swapping. Thus, this is a guide by a ranger, for rangers.

Tip for learning, you dont have to use 3 weapons. Instead of scrolling up into your bag, just scroll down once to your 2nd slot and it works
