As for me, my version is pretty enough for me. 🤔
If it's going to be turned into a picture book, you can do that at any time according to your vision, because data can be downloaded from the google drive and it doesn't belong to me in the first place, but data will change every now and then. Just do the achievements you want to do, when you want and in whichever order you want. 🙂 Their descriptions tell you how many points you'll get for what.
I don't have any golden rule to give you here. Besides, we're starting to go into off-topic on this channel. 😅

I can only tell you that in Ranked mode there is a reward for Gold, Platinum and Solar ranks (it doesn't matter if that's in Solo, Duo, Trio or in all) and the chance for getting it is lost if you don't reach those ranks by the end of the season, because each season has something different. Now it's 16th season. It'll end in 2 days.
There are also time-limited (season-limited) Showdown achievements. They're unachievable later if you don't reach them during the Showdown seasons, current one ending in 72 days.
And of course there are sometimes achievements that relate to temporary in-game events that will never come back once they are over.

So far, we know that Inor Wan (an upcoming character) is an escort who was taking our Cyra to "a place." He has the ability to travel through space and time—possibly by creating portals. During one of these travels, he lost Cyra in a different dimension or alternate universe. Since then, he has been traveling across various Naraka universes in search of her. Along the way, he encountered the rogue Shayol and others. Eventually, he managed to pull Cyra from one of those universes—but it turned out to be a darker version of her. Now, he's traveling with this dark Cyra, trying to return her to her own universe and recover his original Cyra. *Something like that *

Cyra was thrown out of her high position in the religious hierarchy and from Lunazra's city because Lunazran religion worships both gods, while Cyra chose to worship only Sunwing because it seems only Sunwing answered her prayers and saved her, when they tried to kill her.

In both versions, Cyra slaughters all her tormentors and is the only survivor of this night. In both versions there are white doves (symbol of innocence and peace), black ravens / crows (symbol of wisdom, knowledge, mystery, black magic and magic in general, witches), even a white raven (clairvoyance), solar eclipse, red eyes, red night (Viper's first name - Crimson Night). Maybe Cyra has some abilities to look into alternate realities, in visions or in dreams.

If you check my Google drive, in the folder of descriptions from Naraka's Chinese website, I added links to cinematic videos that refer to a given place or character into each description. Locations descriptions are roughly finished as of what's available right now. All character descriptions aren't finished yet.

But it isn't like the entire character or place is discussed in cinematics. They're just small snippets, like parts / scenes of a movie. When it comes to playing techniques for every character, there are videos on Baizepedia discussing them, but when it comes to the plot, there aren't any videos that cover everything. Most of the information is available for reading, in written form. 🙂

Apparently, there was a video or an audio of Kurumi talking about herself somewhere. There might be similar ones from other characters, but those are only in Chinese sources and I don't know the link. Maybe someone else on Discord knows.

By the way, finally a little more has been revealed about translations concerning Kurumi, so I'll change her description a bit. GhostEyes got info that our version Tsuchimikado's Whale Breath island's name is indeed Cetu and our version valley's name will be Fallen Valley, not yokai / ayakashi / oni or demonic, etc.

From a plot perspective, all I can wrote so far based on the new mode is that in Rift Traversal we can become treasure hunters / bandits in Holoroth who use / take advantage of rifts in space-time as portals that appear and disappear at specific times between two alternative realities: our original and a different one.
Or maybe it's time travel and not an alternate reality, but the Inor Wan trailer suggests it's an alternate reality after all.
There are three new NPCs specifically for this mode, one of which is the Rift Dealer, who is called Seller Sincere. 😏 We can now see his humanoid form, although he wears a mask. I don't know if he's human.
The two other ones are a blacksmith Jing and a "rubrician" Augustine (she has blindfolded eyes, so maybe she's from Yushan or maybe she's some kind of a sorceress from Lunazra or elsewhere).
Rifts in space-time are caused by serious disruptions in Yin and Yang.
This has something to do with the Aegis tree. Maybe the tree is trying to revive itself, grow back and save the situation, restore it to balance (the sacred tree collapsed when Sunwing and Moonbane last fought in Morus and human Yi shot down Sunwing).
In this alternate Holoroth, and for the duration of the anniversary events (or maybe permanently, I don't know) also in Herald's Trial and Showdown modes, we can find Aegis tree's twigs / branches and connect them to some large, closed gates.
We'll likely learn more after the arrival of Inor Wan and his cultivation stories.

As I wrote earlier, that's exactly what I'm doing, but it's going slowly. 🙂 I don't have energy every day to do this and I don't intend to make myself do it, when I don't. Also it won't ever be the final version, because new info emerge with every event and some things are added or corrected by me from time to time.
And GhostEyes is reluctant to do graphics more than once or release them until some information are confirmed. We don't agree on everything on these matters, either.
You can use what's on my Google drive at any time for whatever you want to do. GhostEyes can too, like everyone else. I am not responsible for the graphics he makes. 😀 In the end, it's fully his own work. 🙂 With Fugui's and the official transators help, from what I understand.
I already replied about that and showed in screenshots earlier that Google drive can be read like a book, but you have to click on one of images / pictures first and then navigate using the arrows left or right. Clicking on a text first will result in this text opening in a new tab of internet browser.
From my perspective, it's impossible to organize it any more while keeping all informations and up to date.

The biggest problem in understanding the whole story lies in the fact that our language version's descriptions are distorted and in an inconsistent way.

It was cut out from Kurumi's description that no women have been the Head of Onmyo so far, there was no such precedent and for the same reason the other Onmyoji family refuse to allow Kurumi to gain this position.
Also that Sakon's corpse is still in the valley and Kurumi found it.
Cultivation stories of Kurumi in Chinese and Japanese are completely different from what we have in English.
Takeda's first name is written as Takeda in some places and as Nobutada in other places in English, so it's unclear which is supposed to be his first name and which is his last name. Although, logically and from Japanese and Chinese versions, Takeda should be his last name, just as Tsuchimikado is Kurumi's last name.

In general, yes. Chinese (and Japanese), original ones have more details and/or different details than ones in our version, by the way.
On my google drive, I also translated descriptions / short stories of places from the Chinese official website, which has no equivalent website for our international version yet. There is an English website for Naraka game, but it doesn't have such informations.

Remember to write which descriptions you're thinking of, in English, Chinese or Japanese and where? It's worth mentioning so we don't get lost and confused, while discussing them.
I'm guessing you're writing only about Cultivation stories in English, but not everyone here will know it too, because not everyone has it unlocked.
I don't know, though, which descriptions you don't like.
In any case, Zai is still a part of the Annica organization. It's an assassin organization under the rule of Prince Chu of Icuria. They wield some form of magical psychic power over their assassins. That's why she doesn't always has control over herself and has different eyes. Leaving is out of the question. She's their property and they won't let her leave just like that.
This wasn't exactly her home or family in English story. It was the family and home of her "aunt", her nanny, who had taken her from her home, her province and then sold her to slave traders later. Apparently, she was jealous of Zai's mother, which is why she treated Zai this way.
Her father had send Zai away from the home under her nanny's care because he was too weak to stand up to the elders of the Ji family, who feared the prophecy about Zai and that was his idea of saving her.
Tarka is clearly an alcoholic, sometimes a functioning alcoholic, sometimes not. It naturally isn't the entirety of his life and personality, but it influences everything else, like in any alcoholic.
As for whether he's careless... for years, he's been denying reality and pretending to be more than he actually is careless.
Until he found Zai again as an adult woman, he was devastated that she had been taken and sold, and that he had been powerless to stop it and protect her. He promised their mother that he will take care of his younger sister. But he was a child then. As a teen, he rebelled against his family and started drinking away his sorrows.

After the event of Tianhai betrayal and the missing of his master, Arisen sect's reputation among Hidden clan decrease drastically, so he joined Omnius to continue his journey. Omnius asked him to sarcrifice himself for the greater good, turn into a guardian and protect the Ancient Ruins formation, claiming he's helping him saving the world by doing so. He agreed.
Then one day he gets taken down by Tarka and Valda, but even though his body was destroyed, his soul remains on Morus Isle. China culture got this thing about souls that is unsatisfied will not vanish/go to ''the afterlife'' but will remain staying on the living world and sometimes appear out of nowhere doing weird stuffs, may even do harm to the living and that's what Vinemere is doing in Showdown.

We can't rely on the info in English, so it depends if you know how it was in Chinese or at least Japanese version.

Valda probably knows that Zai has orders to kill her and that she belongs to Annica. But in the description of Tarka it's specifically written that he left Valda and her crew after he got a letter from someone else about Zai's whereabouts. Though it must have been earlier than the last big event about Tarka.
The last big event happened on Morus Isle, on which Tarka landed and was together with Valda again, while Tarka's and Zai's previous (at least first) meeting in adulthood was still on the continent. Descriptions from the Chinese website show an earlier time than the latest events in the plot.
It can be read from items that Tarka learned more about Zai through Lyam, with whom he's also related. But I don't know if he was the one with whom Tarka corresponded through letters.
I would have to gather and translate descriptions of all items to check if they're accurate and if there is more or different info, this is a lot of work. I'm still very far from it. 🙂 I haven't copied and translated yet even all cultivation stories with which there are the biggest problems.

Showdown stories, descriptions of newer items and occasional texts from new events in the game are when some characters get to Morus and what's happening on Morus. It happens later than cultivation stories, because Showdown was added later as a mode to the game. Most descriptions of characters from the Chinese website are from the time before any of them got to Morus. It's more or less the same time-frame as many of their cultivation stories. Descriptions of places are even older, some of them are from Naraka's other centuries or ancient times.

Well, we are coming back to the topic that English cultivation stories are basically fanfictions of translators. 😄 I honestly don't know why... There are errors on later translations of Showdown stories or items descriptions, but only cultivation stories are different to that extent. They give completely wrong ideas to whoever reads them.

I think maybe they wanted to create completely different stories for the English version, that they thought would suit western climate more, but they abandoned the project later. Around the time when Showdown appeared in the game.
I'm sure translators were changing along the way. It can't be one and the same person from the beginning. Or it's the most chaotic person imaginable.

However, they could definitely do a better job at cultivation stories. From an objective point of view.
How it is now... all items descriptions and Showdown stories that are much closer to original ones don't make sense together with those different cultivation stories and aren't understandable. And some players are truly interested and would want to understand.

They should either create completely alternative stories, but equally deep and entertaining as Chinese / Japanese ones, and stick to them in Showdown and items too...
Or they should change translations of cultivation stories to more accurate ones if they abandoned this project of different stories for the West.

They (some Heralds?) found Yi, the best among humans, and taught him the method of observing the wind and the air to learn Qi refining of those elements. After the war between primordial gods (I guess it's about the last fight between Sunwing and Moonbane), Yi combined the method of the wind and the air shown to him by Heralds with his human abilities and turned it into a method of refining Qi that every human can practice.

Furthermore, I'm guessing that's the method or a similar method to the one being taught by Heralds in Morus to their disciples, Qi-refining human practitioners, mainly from Icuria.

Every language have idioms, sayings, unique words, humor, etc. and it's the difficult part in understanding any language. 🙂 I don't know Chinese, so I don't know Chinese idioms, but it's enough to decide what it should be translated to and stick to it.
It's fine as long as it will be consistent and the other side will understand what you're writing about.
Changing it to something completely different and not understandable, either in the wider or narrower context, or skipping it completely instead of translating it isn't the better way. At least not in my opinion.
The mission of translators is to convey content to readers as faithfully as possible and in easiest to understand way, not to write their own different story over and above the original author's vision that would make readers not know things or misunderstand everything.

In many novels, some words from Japanese, Korean or Chinese aren't translated or are written along with the translator's choice, because translators want to show what it was in the original. Also because they don't have ideal equivalents in other languages.

It's completely fine to not translate chan, kun, sensei, senpai, hime and so on from Japanese. They usually aren't translated in anime, manga, etc.

Everyone who likes things from Japan will know what it means and what it's about. 🙂

Many translations of Chinese novels, manhua, etc. also don't translate jie, mei, ge, di for example. Because it can be misunderstood after translating. It isn't sister and brother in literal meaning and people from some countries / languages can misunderstand.

You're from a nearby country to China, tabbie, so it's easier for you to pick such things. If you know the official or closest English equivalent of something in Chinese or have an idea for a good equivalent and why you think so, you can always share it here. It will come in handy.
I think you can have too strong perfectionistic tendencies, that's not a bad thing in itself, but no text can be perfectly translated from one language to another and that's alright. Even more so in languages from different continents and linguistic "families".

I've personally also written before, in our earlier discussions, that it's sad that there aren't better translators or the current or past ones didn't try harder, but I kind of understand that. Someone truly good, very fluent in both languages and spending a lot of effort on this, would be very expensive and Naraka, being free-to-play, probably doesn't earn enough from the game to invest in that.
But we can always do it ourselves as fans, for free, as we do.
In many communities centered around games, novels, comics, etc., it's always been this way and it's nothing unusual.
I translate because I'm genuinely curious about it myself and others will benefit from it too. 🙂

All anime (and manga) we watch in Poland our whole lives on the internet are anime translated by fans, for free. 🤷‍♀️ Recently, even translated from English translated from Japanese, which is bound to be worse (because some of them got lazy). Even I know enough of Japanese so far that I can see errors they make, but they do it for free and with best intentions, so oh well... 😄
It's heart-warming that people still do it for other people anyway, for so many years and even for really poor quality things that aren't worth their time. 🙂
PS: Fans translations are usually still better than when some companies very rarely release official text translations in our language for the most popular things.
The exception are some decent voiceovers that were made for television many years ago, but that's a separate topic. Now we're living in a different world.

This would mean that the original maiden could be from panther tribe and (human, not the Heralds one) Yushan tribe could worship panther at first.

I have read that before, because I got the tail from one of Discord's events, but forgot about that.

Tianhai was in Holoroth exactly in the area of Yushan. At least in the stories.

So it's another reason it doesn't match. It should be either Moonbane or panther.
But we can assume that each character has limited knowledge and their own interpretations, just like people in the real world.
After all, Shayol and Yueshan, for example, don't know everything either, even about themselves and their families and believe some false information.

Yes, Sunwing had 9 bodies and they're in different locations. 🙂 At least one of those bodies is probably somewhere in Holoroth and that's what Tianhai felt. But Yushan is worshipping Moonbane, Embers are worshipping Sunwing.
Embers are far away from Holoroth, even since before Yi fought them and founded Icuria Empire.

GhostEyes isn't the fan of Shayol and Shan together. Or at least he wasn't, maybe he changed his mind. 😄
I think he was mostly interested earlier in connections between Shayol, Justina, Viper, their mothers and princes. 🙂

They aren't an official pair so far. The only official pairs are Matari & Temulch, Feria & Akos, Valda & Tarka. They even have their shared avatars, emoticons, actions / animations, etc.
Well, maybe Wuchen & Tessa can be considered a type of an unofficial / official pair, but their relationship isn't very serious, I think. They have their dance from the Valentines day, but they don't have their duo avatars yet. At least I didn't see it in our version of the game.

Shayol and Shan probably have a crush on each other, but they would need to start talking about it with each other for anything to happen and for them to get together. 🙂 I'm personally shipping them, I think they suit each other, but it's complicated. They're both bad with expressing their feelings and they're both the type to put priority on their responsibilities, work, political loyalty, logic, grounded and practical things over feelings.
What is between them is, more or less, around the stage that Shan blushed when he thought about Shayol while writting a letter to her, nothing more. Maybe Shayol was hoping for more, but nothing more romantic happened yet.
The latest situation isn't the best for romance, because Shayol is supposed to arrest Shan, who opposed imperial orders and ran away south to help the former crown prince. I guess his family Yue are rather loyalists to the former crown prince than to the 8th prince Lord Qi.
It will be interesting what will happen, when Shayol joins Showdown and will have her Showdown stories.
They're childhood best friends, but their relationship is mostly long distance since the time Shan was sent to CloudSparrow and Shayol in turn had to travel to Abyss province of Icuria to continue her investigation as a Golden Keeper, which is what his 3rd cultivation story is about - their meeting before getting apart for a long while. I recommend to read it in Chinese version. 😄

We've already learned a bit about what happened. From items and newest events.
Inor's job is to help transport things and people.
He was, in a sense, kind of Cyra's bodyguard and guide when she tried to reach the area where the former Embers tribe live, the Vesper Coven.
But he lost her in one of the rifts in space-time that started to appear lately. Maybe he also has some kind of an ability to make them.
Cyra reached Vesper Coven. I'm not sure at the moment if she got lost in a rift before or after that. Maybe she reached this place on her own in the end.
According to his trailer, beside his usual job responsibilities, he's searching for her in alternate realities, but it's hard to say whether this stems more from his sense of duty related to his work or from personal feelings for her. I don't know if he feels something towards her personally.
The rift dealer seems to be teasing him in a way that maybe the rift dealer thinks that Inor is attracted to her. But even if, it can be also one-sided and she may be not attracted to him. 🙂
And there's the problem of the other Cyra from an alternative space-time, which is probably a Moonbane worshipper, so an opposite of the Cyra we know, who is crazy about only Sunwing. But she's young, so she can change her mind in the future.
One shot in the trailer that puzzles and intrigues me personally the most is a shot of Cyra dancing in front of a living and well Aegis tree.
We'll definitely learn more about Inor and what is happening with the Aegis tree once Inor appears in the game and we get his cultivation stories.
In the meantime, sooner or later, I'll also be checking to see if everything in Cyra's cultivation stories in the English version are consistent with the original version or different, as is the case with many older characters and their cultivation stories. Newer translations are more often more close to the originals, at least in case of items and Showdown stories. I only translated fragments of her stories so far.
