It's two different levels you level up in showdown. Season EXP is not the showdown battle pass, either. When you use the +50% showdown exp pass, it does the following:

1. As long as you're below level 100 in the showdown level (the level threshold the game uses as a baseline for each level, before increasing or decreasing your stats in that level), you will be able to use those. It just takes the amount of fatigue you spent, allocates it as season EXP, then gives a 50% bonus afterwards. The showdown season level gives you bonus stats.
2. The showdown pass is the battle pass, and has nothing to do with your showdown level. That levels up when you spend fatigue, thus you will not get any bonus from the showdown EXP bonus cards. It's why you can't level it up when you're capped out on your fatigue.
3. If you are already level 100, then you can still use those passes to add the bonuses, but they will sit in your account collecting dust until the next season starts, when the showdown level is reset. Then, the game will automatically use them up again. It's why they aren't used up when you're already level 100, because there's nothing left to allocate season EXP to. Or, if you're not level 100, but your fatigue is capped out, that's also why it's not doing anything. Because you no longer have fatigue to spend, thus no season EXP to gain to level up.

In other words no it's not a scam, and IDK why you would jump to that conclusion. You just need to check if you're either already level 100, and/or if you already capped out your fatigue.

Honestly just depends what you want to go for. Not all builds are elemental damage focused either. Check the pins for DarKZer0's site and it'll have some solid example builds there. Only issue is which builds are meta changes per season but that's a different topic. Not every element works optimally for every character either, so it also depends on who you intend on playing the most

Of course, for the color question; you need the last node in the lotus potential tree. It'll buff your lotus (based on the element u choose) and it's color. If the lotuses are white, it's because you haven't chosen that node in the potential tree.

They really need to buff Valda's defuse. It's so weak compare to other and even compare to new heroes. She got the worst Defuse along with Yoto Hime. Why can't she have continous defuse like Zipping or easier defuse to cast like Tessa. You have to execute Nezha's Might first before you can defuse after you did the first defuse. She dossn't have anything against consecutive hits other than just dodge

Ah, fastest way of leveling them up is just spamming Topaz Enigma. Even if you don't clear it that's a pretty huge chunk of EXP for each run, or Nirriti's if your souljades are too weak

I had the inverse problem with randoms one time. They knew it's optimal to take the boss to the pool with you, but then when there was only the boss left, they kept pinging to go back to the pool and urging us in text or else we'd run out of time and lose. Effectively not attacking at all. Then did this at the end when only Agnivat remained, even though our DPS was more than enough to get through just fine. It's more funny to me than anything to get mad at but still weird to be that overly cautious

I guess their experience was playing with randoms who didn't do enough DPS that they kept losing

no, the sole purpose of element surge jade on this build is that 25% attk boost effect
you summon thunder with thunderpull and defuse it then input horizontal for instant earthshaker
if you missed the first defuse then there's still 3 more thunder strikes coming after that for you to attempt to defuse them, cuz thunderproof make you immune to thunder strike stagger
and yes it should be 6 poison wieldings to proc poison blast as much as possible

For example, if I choose atk%, is it possible that I'll get a rare attribute, and the game will stop the automatically recast?

If you have a rare attribute already on a jade, you can't get another one on it by recasting. You have to use on of the red jades or shards to achieve it. If however, you have a jade with a Scorching rare attribute and normal attributes (no second rare), it's possible to recast that scorching for a different rare attribute

What Solace said and the guide he posted, but if you say it's specifically because you're attacking and it fills the thunder (yellow) bar, you probably have Thunderpull equipped

If the thunderstrikes come directly down on you, yes. But in order to counter, you need the Thunder Counter souljade equipped too, or else countering it won't work

Some characters can more easily chain defuses against the thunder than others, since it comes as a lone strike, then shortly after, a series of 3 thunderstrikes

No problem, there's also a souljade for making you immune to the stagger from the thunder strikes (called Divine Thunder), simply called Thunderproof. But not every build uses it. There are builds that revolve around countering the divine thunder

I had just basically "imported" one of the builds, and the next round I played was unplayable because of that thunder. Like I would throw one Ziping Yin combo (the left click hold until she starts spinning the spear over her head) and after she spinned 2 times I was being stun locked by it I was so confused.

I use thunder with Zai - I have fun playing her but from what I understand she's not really a top tier Showdown char. I just got my first extreme curio + using legendary radiance flow curio took my damage from 10mil to 22mil (in TI) instantly. Big big difference for a thunder build with her

Some bosses immediately follow up after a defuse/counter. So instead of standing there mashing defuse/counter you have to dodge out of it or someone has to come in and parry it for you. Or you can just listen to Mort and clash with Kylin

Of course, unless you pull out your ranged weapon which has like no delay counter or play a defuse type character who can continously defuse... and the only one who is playing defuse is from Singapore playing on NA

Viper's pretty meh right now. Worst character at the moment I'd say is Viper. Her Curios animation is pretty lengthy, so it's easy to get interrupted by bosses and it doesn't do much Health Dmg.

How long did it take you guys to get the Red Graded Curio? I just finally figured out you need to craft specific ones after you random crafted them to level 1, and then as the level goes up you get a higher chance at red..

@fierce light I'm guessing not, but is there any kind of decent build for crossbow deadeye? I was messing with it in Nirriti last night and even there it felt horrible to use, but it killed bosses almost immediately when the stars aligned

if your goal is to lvl up heroes just pick the hero u want and farm yama's abyss earlier stages, prob the fastest way to lvl up without using alchemized souls

but if u want them so bad there are 2,3 showdown cultivation quests for each hero
