Yeah the math was redone, Surge looks to be better than ILC in most situations. Mainly because of the additional stats it gets over ILC:

• +60% Ice Blast DMG from Depths Blast
• +25% Ice Blast DMG from Volatile Freeze
• +12% Attack from Elemental Fury

ILC can win in situations where there's multiple mobs that you can keep procing Ice Blast on to spam Blossom Blasts every second.

Unfortunately, they didn't add the ability to deconstruct them manually, so they kinda just sit there. Unless you have 20+, then you can do a Souljade Conversion.

They used too many on Topaz. I didn't use any for that reason. You won't get any from Tempered Inferno, so you must be frugal with them.

Ah, I see what they did to make the algorithm worse for Anima Rings. They got rid of all the prerequisites for them. So now you can get rings that are actually useless for your current build (extra bolt dmg with no bolt rings, soak draining aegis with no way to apply soak, etc).

also the durability of weapons needs to be fixed, they say "good for 2-3 games" and goes to zero literally in the first 5 minutes

also lots of qol issues but other than that the mode is fun
