Also, if it's a monitor setup, while it is moderately expensive, I can have two of them, one in the form and another at home.. When I go back home I bring my dear lappy with me... But if I had a full size atx cabinet I don't think that's possible given when I go home it's anywhere from a 14-16 hour train journey

Tldr: buying and keeping a PC is definately feasible, moving with it isn't

Yeah I get it... As I said it's reasonable without external constraints... It's just not really practical sweety... Usually when u buy something as expensive as a laptop u have 50 commitments in real life to meet... Does the person in this pic have to take their laptops to work? Do they own the place? if they don't own the place do they have enough electricity allowance to run a full atx PC? These are obviously in conjunction to the usual spacial constraints... Normally 90-95% of people who buy laptops don't buy it because thats 1st preference but because they had a constraint in their lives which doesn't allow for such stationary solution.

Ummm that one entirely depends on the board it's in tbh I've heard the same magnetic switches sound almost different in other boards like the jade pros in mine would sound entirely different on something like the hex80 which has a gasket mount and 7 layers of foam and internals
