spamming buttons in naraka is a no no, while its acceptable at the start to get a feel of things, after a while you need to start making informed decisions not just spamming.

I will summarize a few quick points for you.

-1 Always try to remain in blue focus state.
-2 Hold blue, keep your space from the enemy, and check how your enemy reacts.
-3 If your enemy dodges out after ur blue animation finishes and comes TOWARDS you, if you have a follow up blue like katana, use it. You gained important information here. Your enemy is looking to trap your dodges with light attacks to combo you, so increase the amount of blues you send, and reduce the amount of dodges you want to make, and/or dodge at completely unpredictable timings.
-4 Condition your enemy. The best strategy is to repeat 1 thing twice and do the thing you intend to do 3rd.
-5 Learn the timing of when to trap different dodges with your combo starting light attacks. For example, the easiest dodge to trap is if you use 12 of any weapon and follow it up with a hold dodge LMB. This is a true dodge trap if your enemy instantly dodges after 12 which they will do most of the time if they are the type to not hold blue after 12. If they are the type to hold blue u can abuse the bad game netcode and send a 123.
-6 Utilize reactions over predictions if your ping allows you to do so. (less than 40).
-7 You can react to so many things, you can react to heng horizontal blue by tap dodging it or releasing a blue, tessa ult, monk grabs, you name it, a lot of things.
-8 Whiff punish your enemies. This means that you act like you made something that animation locks you like parrying and failing the parry but from long distance, this will condition your enemy to try and light attack you to catch you, you can here just use ur own light attack to trap their attempted trap. This is very advanced though, requires perfect spacing and a lot of game knowledge.
-9 When all fails, use movement to run. Utilize attacks over blue holds (rmb shift rmb on db etc) and look to scale rush. Preferably in and out of buildings or openings to break line of sight.

so the game fills your lobby with bots to let you find a match

but there are bots in ranked too, just how matchmaking operates, they just fight better

prioritizes giving you faster matches over filling a match up fully with players
