Do you know how to find out the number of stars/color or it is not possible in Steam? Surely, there are the star stats (the one on the screenshot shows 6, some CN has 2419, 178, etc. ) But aint sure what does it mean

the 2p only has one color and cant be recolored since it was a collab star outfit
recolors on other outfits refer to constellation
for 2p, the star stats refer to the kills done while wearing the outfit, i believe

i pulled out my bow real quick for you to see a comparison between steam market/inventory & naraka stats

To sum it up in general:

• ** Number:** basically just an ID
• ** Constellation:** color and style indicator, can be 3 or 4 numbers depending on skin
• Star Stats: stat-track on skin, usually kills, doesn't impact color or style
• Available server: cn/non-cn

to anwser your question further about locking constellations
you can only lock them when you unlocked 3 or more constellations, regardless of the type (yellow or red) of star skin
unlocking the first 2 on legendary and first 3 on mythic ones just take a lot of rerolls
the last constellation is ALWAYS luck based with, i believe a 0,5% chance

Odd question pair. You can scroll steam market for the star skins, you will see if there is anything in the price range you are willing to spend on one.

Getting the money out of star skins the longer you hold it, probably not. With the playerbase like this, anniversary making it seem active, but what happens after is another thing. Selling on later I hope not when the game is on brink of death, since all new star skins decrease the prices of the other skins as well as the shrinking player base when people decide to get rid of their skins.

I can only speak to red star constellations for this one, for color 9500-9749 is this color, higher number than that is whiteish/pink. I really have no idea what the red star on the butterfly does, seemed like it just has more aura around the wings. Red star blade has 3 different kinds i know, they mostly look like gold star shapes just with a bloody blade. And the 4th star just adds the butterfly's flying around the handguard.
