To be a gacha game the game progression needs to be linked to that mechanic in one way or another

There is absolutely no correlation to progress via gacha...just FOMO tactics and the option to make things easier, and that's why most gachas are free-to-play, as part of the business model... Usually people roll back if they aren’t able to lock something.

If you have the ability to lock a colour or aspect you just keep rolling forward saving that one aspect

In 90% of the skins, the lower rarities are cooler. I was watching a re-roll of the Tarka skin, that pink one is horrible. There is a blue rarity that makes the skin black with blue that is MUCH COOLER.

In my opinion, it is a huge waste for most players to value the high constellation instead of making the item more beautiful.

I remember when I was trying to secure the Justina Star Skin I ended up selling my Beetlejuice + Lydia set for 650$ locally.
