Bush fences not depositing in my inventory

Am trying to do this quest and I was able to gather the wooden fences just fine, but when I try the hedges it seems to not deposit them in my inventory even though I get this little message saying it has. What's happening here? Am I harvesting the wrong fences?

Quick question about the Greek translation, it was made by a persion (I assume you?) and not by AI right?
Because I got this largely to facilitate my Greek learning and it's been great so far but have had games before that offered Greek which was machine translated
