Alternative to standard child parent communication directives

Is there a better alternative to @Input() and @thorny swifttput for maintaining states in an enterprise sized application?
I have been looking into ngrx and it seems like it might be a good solution, but are there any alternatives?

NgRx, NGXS, or if you have an simple application, you can maintain the state with Services and Subjects
