LOL, stubby tower vs normal tower.
I have one of those h2 around! is yours making any noise. I remember stop thinkering with it because of the clicking
Yeah I have the H2O in the big printer. They both click when retracting. I think the pocket in the front plate for the driven extruder gear bearing is tool large. The berring seems to rock back and forth in that pocket. I have like 300 hrs on the extruder and it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse. Definitely sounds funny but doesn't seem to hurt anything. Just seems weird that it's not been fixed between the H2O and the V2S lite.
yeah, I was all hyped about the v2s when it came out, and I got it right away, than it took them more than a year to release the 0.4 nozzle for it 😅. between the clicking and the missing nozzle choice I forgot about it and moved on. but it’s definitely still nice and impressive to look at
and I always thought the way you have it there might be a better choice rather then the conventional way to mount it… still impractical with the extrusion on the way. but you’ve removed the extrusion 😛
So pretty. The MGN12C is wider that a 2020, so maybe it could still work, but I was playing with building a took and I really liked the extrusionless idea.
especially on a short gantry. what is the length of x rail ?
Like 240 total 200 open span
Both of them have twisted motors as well. LOL
I’d need to dig up mine to check… maybe it’s a design feature
It kinda looks like its the actual motor that is twisted. weird
my x rail is 250mm, I was thinking a extrusion less solution, but it’s hard with the metal gantry joints
Yeah you'd have to make some sort of printed socket or something.
I was thinking to cut two pieces of extrusions for the edges, but I’ll need at least 60~70mm per side to have a solid mount… it basically only removes half extrusion at that point 😅
It would mess up you belt path but you could single bolt it directly to the top plate. If I understand corexy right there shouldn't be much torque on the joint. 🤷
I’m more worried about the rail to only have a single point mount on each joint, making the x/y angle not perpendicular by default.. it could happen that the bolt loosen up during a print or increasingly over time and it will mess up things
Yeah, even the rook has two bolts per side.
Looks like a 1/4-20 button head just fits in my 2020. Looks like a 4.5mm clearance hole and a fair bit more head diameter than a M6.
My paired down nebula frame looks similar to Precurssor's must be doing something right
Hmm, not sure what I want. Enclose or not to enclose.
Looks like I have 2.4M less t-slot than would be required for an enclosure.
Were going un-enclosed. Slimed up the xjoints so I can change my mind later and put panels on the 2020
