I saw a concept for an electronics drawer in the bottom of a Voron 2.4 (OP did not elaborate, literally just posted a video of him opening and closing it lol) and I thought that's pretty slick, so I figured I could probably find a way to do something to mount the drawer for the electronics enclosure for the Hydra/Mercury One.1: Fair Warning I HAVE NOT yet fabricated and built this modification so if you decide to take it on as a project I must warn you that the risk is entirely your own, that said if you do, please let me know about fit and such so that we can continue to improve it.

With that out of the way the front panel is now 5 parts (6 if you print the logo insert separate and assemble it), 2 pieces of it are the border, and 3 are attached to the drawer. I designed the tray to be a single bent aluminum piece, which from Send Cut Send, is quoted at $100 USD and change + shipping I believe. The mounting hardware for the front panel border is the same as the original skirt pieces, but adds 8 dowels to join the two halves together ( in an attempt to maintain whatever strength the original had with the bottom sheet ) I will pin the most up to date STL, STEP, and DXF files for the parts used in this mod.

I will do my best to put ๐Ÿ“Œ in each rev for easy searching of revisions and associated, BOM, files, and pictures.

The Raw Assembly with more scratched in plans for mounting holes.
Maybe put a few different sets of mounting holes for control boards.
I do need help finding a cable chain that would fit in the drawer, needs to be Max (folded once) of 46mm which means, probably 15 ish mm thick, and then I don't know how wide that would have to be.

Re-drew the Front Panel Split so that it's much lower profile, to get more space in the drawer center. Updates to come

Uh, I havenโ€™t actually built it yet but, I doubt that itโ€™s particularly picky, Iโ€™ll arrange them on a build plate and post what makes sense to me

Just lay flat auto etc. should do decent, the odd one should use supports, and the panel frame will need supports laying face down.

That is a consideration, I think I debited like a tenth or two tenths, One tenth debited All Around, so that's 2 tenths in total.

If anything I'm sure the mounts for the 1020 extrusion could be altered to use a drop in nut to anchor, should the two tapped holes at the end not be enough (in the case of removing the centerprinty bit)

I think the drawer was like 100$ from send cut send when I put it in for quote.

Says 0.8% to 1.2% shrinkage, so I wouldn't be too worried about it, granted I have not printed with ASA yet only ABS and PLA
