For 9mm belts or are you still running 6mm?
Same for the 9mm, I am going to see if I can get these 6mm inserts into Fusion and add the ring for the bearing until something official is released.

I am not sure if the 3004 shafts are long enough for a support bearing with 9mm belts

I am not a Pro with trying to get these meshes into solids, it would be nice to have a step of the RevB if not I will have to use the Step of the RevA that is provided.

The only cad I did this weekend was a cable tie mount. Been slowly wiring up the toolhead today. Need to do a few more things before the rest of my parts show up to run the belts later this week.
Exciting times, I Think I am going to place my order for the bata frame sometime this week. After going over my printer yesterday, and finding all the broken stuff, I have been printing replacements of the replacement parts all day today. I changed out the 2209 for 5160's and it doing very well.
I also put in 15k steps today

They are 3.175mm away from the bottom.. but that is with my own 40mm height stepper mounts that I designed for 10mm belts. In those I made two additional plates to bring the support bearing up to the shaft, I don't know how that will work with Turtle's official version..
Are these the ones? What voltage are you going to run them at, 48V?

Correct, and no added thermal conduction to the top for a heat sink. Depending on the board you might be able to pass air under the driver with fan.

So if you run close to 200hz or higher, you might need to modify the M3 holes between the dowel pins for a 4th M5 through bolt. @blazing trench managed to start to bend his towers running a higher tension.
I'll probably add a set of DXF files for high tension builds with that converted to a m5 hole.

That extra anchor point would be helpful on the printed stepper towers too. They need it more than metal parts.

I have zero plans to add support like that for the stock frame. This mod will work fine on the beta frame though.
@lucid citrus what aluminium do you use for this stuff and the x joints?

I have no plans for awd mounts myself as I am not willing to give up travel and need anything I design to fit the enclosure.
Maybe if you or someone willing to design something like this, made the leadscrews shorter you could put the motors under the y 2020 so you could make the main body of the stepper towers slimmer so that they dont interfere with the toolhead movement
I also do not think awd is needed, to many people look for solutions to problems before building anything because they saw someone else do it.
But I mainly design parts I want myself, and try to make them work for other configurations that others would need within reason
I totaly understand that, I just shared my thoughts and thought somebody would gind it useful

That is unproven as yet and like Turtle I want to ensure everything works well before I hand it over to the community.. If I measured right none or very little print volume should be lost on a pro.
But I don't own a pro so I'm relying on the step file..
Though on the beta enclosure everything up front needs to remain inside the frame.

Only if I measured wrong, at least not for those that are using an eva 2.4.. I took the gantry to the zero position in Y ei; nozzle at the edge of the bed and then used that position to measure the distance the x-joints where from the front of the printer and used that dimension as my limit.. You may lose a tiny bit of x travel at that zero position to the end of the AWD mount, but not in Y. I redesigned the entire mount so it would minimize travel loss on a pro (was never really an issue on the plus) but those who don't want that can keep the stock motion system..

If so, what was the size of the cutout you have in the plates?
(or rather do I need tolerances for aluminium or can I go snug?)
(and also could you provide the cad files for the rev-B printed parts as I want to add bearings to my bottom plate and need to modify the printed insert to leave room for the screw heads securing the bearing, I would obviously be eternally grateful :))

I just line them up with the belt? Run the printer and adjust it needed.
Having the window let's see if it's tracking in the center or not
I usually just put everything in place with loose pulleys, move the toolhead around and it gets in the right place by itself then I tighten it

Kept on printing the top and bottom inner inserts and the measurements were all wrong, turns out I hadn't ran a Z-tilt in awhile, lol.
Right under 35mm for both sides now, hopefully doing a rebuild of my Merc in the next couple weeks to install them plus a bunch of other goodies.

Eventually I'll source the rest of it and reprint, but for now I'm sticking to just the towers.
I'll want to upgrade to something like the Xol or Archetype toolhead for 9mm belts if I ever get there.
