btt pi wifi

So the wifi on my btt pi seems to suck, but I have good ethernet. How can I just turn wifi off and keep a static IP ok ethernet? Has anyone done that with a BTT pi?

Remove the Wi-Fi credentials from the config file and set the IP in your router. It will get assigned every time

yup, should connect to ethernet once you take away the wifi login

and find it in your router after it first connects, then give it a static ip

replace the antenna with one from and old laptop. BTT can't make good wifi antennas. I had the same poblem with my btt pi and my friends btt pad7

@carmine drift ya, remove wifi info. Log into your router, and give pi a static IP address.

To find your routers IP.
Open a cmd window.
Type:
Ipconfig /all
The gateway IP should be the router.
Type IP address into the browser.
Login

I'm currently using an antenna from an old asus 7" netbook that i stripped down

I have a bunch of those antenna but none of the clips that would clip to the board. I'm going to order those now. Thanks. The antenna that comes with the btt pi is a joke
