so just out of curiosity what would be the difference between these and the vzbot remixed ones? always looking for a stiffer frame.
It looks practially the same other then maybe using less filament to print.
If you want to be baller, you could get alumninum braces!
Aluminium ones are for sure stiffer. If you consider ABS comparison: My corner braces just reduce material and make is visually slimer and in main direction same as or stronger -> torsion wise mine are weeker, but I dont think thats the load this brace is setup for
i dont think torsion matters much for these mainly the other directions.
what size bolts? m5?
Biggest issue for rigidity in the stock frame is that the 2040 extrusions are the wrong way, should have been front-back not left-right, since there is more moving mass in the Y than X.
Atleast i think that would make a difference.
I have my fronts spun around to be front back. But I have blind jointed my frame too, I found the way the stock frame was joined together was half the problem.

Can I get the .step for this? I would like to modify this to use 3mm screws and thinner so it won't conflict with Hydra and Electronics Bay cover. I've already printed this version for all other parts of my printer.

I've started a slimming it down in OnShape. I think it needs to be 12mm thick and use M3 SHCS.
If you tell me your needs in a sketch I can also model it for you. My parametric file you can also find on onshape.
What should I search for in OnShape? I just need to take care of some fine details and seeing how you did it would help a lot. Then it's onto testing and refinement.
Basically, I'm making it about >12mm tall with 3mm holes and 5.5mm for the socket head.
