planning on ordering a ultra high flow rapido with fabreeko’s sale this weekend. Any downsides to UHF vs HF? Don’t want to be limited for high speed application. Also considering getting it with pt1000 to not be limited by temp constraints in future

dunno, I havent tried the UHF setup yet. I just pritn with .4 nozzles and have not found a need for more flow yet.

I think ill just stick with dragon HF for now. I have bigger things to finish than just a new hotend. Need to get a full enclosure designed and made for all 3

@narrow igloo @ruby lance I don't know if you guys already have something in the works or not, but I am interesting in designing an official ZeroG Enclosure. I am going to have to design and manufacture 3 enclosures for all 3 of my mercs, and was wondering if you guys would be interested in me developing an official one. I'm also interested in putting together a kit for people in the community to buy to save them some hassle, as I have access to all equipment needed to cut panels and etc.

I let my printers heatsoak for 2+ hours and go to start a print (75% of bed taken up by print). The print starts with the layer height too high, so I drop it down (usually 0.1mm until its good). like 5-6 minutes into the print, the layer height get way too low and I have to take it back to the initial value, and then its good.

anyone know why this is? I thought it was thermal expansion, but it doesnt make a difference if the printer has been heating for a while or not, it does the same thing

Finally set up RRI on both my klicky printer and my beacon printer. First layer consistency is almost perfect

I used to have to adjust z offset +- 0.100 every print, now it’s only 0.01 per print

thinking about taking my beacon printer back to klicky. Seems to have too many bugs/issues at this time. May pursue again in the future

also if I end up puttign beacon on each of my printers, I will need a pi for each printer instead of running them all on one

definitely look into it. I don’t really notice a difference in first layers between my beacon and klicky, and if anything klicky is better ATP. I was told by someone in annex DC that i need to rebuild my gantry?? (my meshes are weird with beacon and he said he had the same issue)

in my findings, I get much better mesh/ first layer quality improving my frame than I do going from klicky to beacon

klicky has about same if not better mesh than beacon at this point. I've done a bit of troubleshooting with beacon, and im tired of dealing with it if klicky works. I may try it again in the future when the project is further down the road
