#Z-drop brackets - need more drop

Are you using the Eva system @broken ridge ? Mercury One.1?
I’m using the Stealthburner
yea.. its not really made for stealthburner... ZeroG dosent officially support SB its just happens that it kinda works with the belt path.
im sure you can customize something to work
Thats what my plan was. Just hoping to start from CAD rather than a full reverse engineering.
Never heard of anyone having issues with the afterburner, this drop bracket was created for m1.1 and Eva by the community
And was done in blender
With permission we made it official, and I spent 30 minutes reverse engineering the stl file
But no cad files while still in beta
If it was a Eva clearance issue I would fix the bracket
Thats fine. No worries.
I'll make my own and contribute it back as a community mod.
Here's the issue. If I mount the klicky mount between the rods, it eats up a good 10-15mm of my bed space. I can tuck the bracket off to the far left, but when I unload the klicky by moving sideways, the mount holding the klicky collides with the z-drop bracket. There's a ton of vertical clearance between the rod and the bed, so I should be able to drop it further. I might also make the klicky bracket longer, which might also resolve the issue. I'm waffling between both approaches.
It's sort of a fun engineering project.
Does it hit when homing
Our just docking klicky
Cause you can move the klicky dock and setup the dock and undock to avoid hitting those
@flat rampart made the original ones, not sure if he has the step file or if he made it all in blender/tinkercad. and if hes even willing to share it.
Forgot who made them first, just know that Mechanix remixed them
That's sort of my line of thinking. I just want to be sure I'm not relying on software alone, as I'd rather not be posting pictures on #demolition_derby
I have the step for the original drop bracket. This is the original before it was modified with the merc/zero-g logo. let me know if needed
I did them in fusion. I still have the step file. My originals are taller. mechanix remixed them to make them shorter for better clearance for people running bed spacers instead of springs.
That would be great. I’m either making a longer z-drop bracket or a modified klicky bracket. Gotta figure out the best solution. The problem is the best is probably a hydra.
that is the best mod to fix the issue
