#Need help deciding if I should apply for the job

So for context, I found out yesterday that a frozen yoghurt place I like is hiring. I want a job so that I can get enough money to buy the stuff I want at comic con (happening in early august). I’m in school holidays now and have nothing to do for the next 5-6 weeks. My mum keeps telling me to get a job but I keep saying that I don’t want to get one until I finish school so that I have enough energy. This would be my first job. I run out of energy quickly and am autistic so that makes it a bit harder.

Pros:
Money for comic con
Something to do during the holidays (I get bored very easily without something to do)
Gain work skills

Cons:
Possibly become overwhelmed with work
Less time to rest (Will probably go for casual instead of part time)
Less free time to hang out with yall

does the job have a notice window for quitting? if not i think thatd be something fun to do especially if it has flexible hours for working! (as someone whose parents are always talking about pros and cons of jobs lol im too young to work in my state)

If you mean whether they have to tell me I’m being laid off within a certain amount of time before I’m actually laid off, as a casual employee I don’t think that’s something im owed under Australian law, unless a contract is signed saying that there is a certain amount of time between being notified of being laid off and then actually being laid off.

If I was a part time or full time employee then that would definitely be a thing, but since I’d be going for casual then I don’t think it’s something that is required under law

I recently turned 17 and keep being overwhelmed with trying to do things like learn to drive, job, resume, and school stuff. I am also autistic and have other disorders. I can barely do things other people my age can. I would say it's good to get a job but don't push yourself too much. :)
