Shrugs, our cycles our more complex and worse from what I've been told because of our thyroid disease so I'm not sure
Make sure to drink lots of water, that can help
nwnwn
If your periods are causing you super uncomfortable symptoms that impact your life, my best recommendation is taking meds to stop them. You don't have to put up with that, periods are the worst
Yeah.
Lowkey its been a while since our cycles are not regular
[Reply to:](#1270407488092766251 message) do you guys find that your muscles get really weak when on your period?? like.. My legs are unusuall…
the thing with that is sometimes the side effects of them are worse than the period itself /info /nm
for me, periods are bad but meds are worse 😭
Yeah I know it's very individual, but some people aren't aware that you can completely stop them so I wanted to mention it. I didn't have success with managing my symptoms until my 4th type of birth control, but it was well worth persisting with because it improved my symptoms hugely. The methods can vary a lot in their side effects
thats what i came here to say LMAO
coming from someone who has been on birth control for over 2 years (and isnt planning on stopping)
As I said it's very individual, I just wanted to mention the option. I didn't have much guidance on this stuff when I was younger and it took many years of experimenting with various methods to help my period symptoms until I came to a solution that really helped. I do have very severe issues with my periods though so I understand it might be slightly different.
Some people try one or two methods and think birth control isn't for them, but that isn't necessarily the case
yeah i got it no worries!
yeah of course, i didn’t mean to invalidate anyone’s experiences :))
We tend to feel a lot more tired on our period, and a couple mornings it’s been difficult to stand for too long so I’d do as much as possible sitting down
It’s gotten a bit better recently so the leg weakness hasn’t happened again
Yep!
We get weak legs a lot more when on ours.
We also have BP issues and prob Dysautonomia so Ye
i just came off of birth control 😭
i was on them for 3 years
im 17-
Did you feel like it wasn't really helping your symptoms? Do you mind if I ask what you tried?
i came off of it cuz of weight gain and swelling in my legs :(
it was to completely stop my periods and it worked perfectly..
its called rigevidon, UK brand.
ooo that was the very first one i tried, it used to make me throw up like crazy though sadly
did you try any single hormone ones? i found those were better in terms of side effects
thats the only one ive tried lol
yes they get so much worse, and its even harder to walk with cramps
especially annoying when you get periods twice a month
I really recommend trying another, they vary a lot, especially if stopping your periods brought you some relief
