Does someone have tricks for seizures or fainting cause those two last days have been horrible for me, so advices someone?

Oof, feel you there. It depends on what causes your seizures—mine are psychogenic, so my therapist has me doing diaphragmatic breathing / mindfulness stuff, which helps some. If it's epilepsy, you'll need medication. As far as fainting goes, a lot of things can cause that. If it's fainting simultaneous with seizures, that might be more likely to be epilepsy, I'm not sure. In my case, I just have chronic low blood pressure, and meds help me a good deal with that

I faint many times and end up having a seizure or two per day these past times

vagrant jasper
#

Ouch, that really sucks

#

I fainted just the other day and unfortunately took a bad fall from it, still recoveriing

Thanks, Ana—I'll be alright, it's not my first rodeo. Just in my 20s now as opposed to my teens, I don't bounce up again quite so quickly, haha

oblique marsh
#

Yeah 😂

Whenever I feel a seizure coming on I try to make sure I sit or lie down in a safe position, although that's hardly super creative advice, haha. I have an in-home hospital bed, so that helps

oblique marsh
#

Yeah, I don’t have this type of things but I could try and make comfy place for it

Hiya! So I rarley get seizure auras, and if I do its like a minute prior, and for me I can't really word or speak when it happends, so I normally say the person whom I'm next to's name, or tug on there clothing. I would make sure to tell the others around you, in every environment, that you may faint or seize so they understand that you do, and also tell them what to do!

vagrant jasper
#

Yeah, that's good advice, June.

#

It helps when people know what it is, so they know not to panic and so forth

Yeah, it can be hard, Ana. It takes time, with these things, and you can only do what you can do. Be kind to yourself about it

It's none of my business, of course, but do you have any access to healthcare, at the moment?

oblique marsh
#

Tw: medication
I see my doctor from time to time to adjust my ||antidepressants|| and I have a school nurse that’s rarely at school

vagrant jasper
#

I'm glad you have something, at least. A doctor who's involved at all is at least a start

oblique marsh
#

I never talked about it to my doctor but maybe sometime…

oblique marsh
vagrant jasper
#

It would be a good idea to bring it up to your doc, when you can

#

I'm not sure what Anna means either, haha

#

I think she may've misunderstood about when you have access to your meds

empty carbon
#

like could you bring your meds to school nd take em there?

oblique marsh
#

Why?

#

I don’t think it change much

empty carbon
#

oh i thought thats what you meant since ur nurse is raeely there

vagrant jasper
#

Yeah, I think it was just a misunderstanding. I assume Ana already takes her meds on a schedule

#

Also you both have the same name and I don't know how I didn't realize that until now, haha

vagrant jasper
#

No worries, Anna

I just had a seizure at school. I was alone, with one girl in a small room. I don't exactly tell anyone about my seizures, but now my jaw is locked shut and I can't speak (Could just be my TS) and I feel like fainting. Any tips?

In the long term, you should find people you can trust to tell, if only so people can know you'll be okay (and, in the long long term, hopefully you can get access to docs who can test what kind you have). In that particular scenario, having a pre-prepared card explaining the situation could help alleviate the worries of the other person present. Some people who can go nonverbal for one reason or another will learn ASL to communicate when they can't talk. There are no easy solutions, unfortunately
