well for an IEP at least, it individualized so it looks different for every person

but some accomodations might be taking walk, extra time on assesments, a helper teacher in your classes, more time on actual HW, one of ur blocks (this is for my school so it might look different in differnt places) is in a Special education classroom where SPED teachers help u specificlly

It felt like still being in front but the way a absence seizure would be if you could still move during. And if it was like constant. But without the brain signals thing. Just absolutely no inner monologue, couldn't think a single thought, and just kinda wandered around slowly on autopilot. Absolutely emotionless

Yeee for me it depends. Sometimes i fr have a stare diwn that i can't get out of. It feels like i am stuck in my body, i can think and all but i can't move a single thing. It's kinda scary sometimes bc they come more frequently these days

How does one tell if they have ADHD or not?
How do you know if you are subconsciously masking?
What if you don't struggle with symptoms of ADHD but you have some of the symptoms?

Like people say we struggle but we genuinely don't though we do have Executive Dysfunction and RSD. We don't get distracted too easy and always get right back on task. We do the walk into the room and gforget what you were doing. We don't have many thoughts, our ead is often too quiet. We do have a lot more Autistic behaviours but we are diagnosed with ADHD but we also score high on ADHD Quizzes.

But we genuinely are confused whether ADHD fits or not.

We actually get overwhelmed with multitasking and can only focus on 1 thing at a time.

Unless its music and doing something motor.

ADD used to be diagnosed till it was changed to ADHD but I got diagnosed with both because when I was little I had ADD then at five they diagnosed me with ADHD but recently I looked at my records and found both listed but no reason why so for me I have both but not sure it's common since ADD was changed to ADHD so it's ok to feel confused

ADD was no longer diagnosed in 1994 mind you I was born in 99 but my mom told me my doctor was a old school doctor but that doctors place officially changed to diagnosing it as ADHD a year after I was diagnosed. Was hard for me to believe till my mom told me the whole story

You're welcome I had to do actual research on when it stopped being combined but was reading up on how some people still got both diagnosed because they had old school doctors it's a little like niche weird coincidence thing that happened but apparently I'm not the only one at least until I found out I'm not

What I'm learning is it technically stopped being diagnosed in 1987 though from what I'm reading there's still a handful of people from the early 2000s that got both diagnosis by old fashion doctors not really talked about much. Then websites are saying something about the DSM-IV which started in '94 including ADHD with subtypes

Yeah some people usually get a ADD but then they get ADHD. What I learned from doctors specifically the one I had until 2019 till I moved was that not everybody catches the fact that ADHD doesn't always have the hyperness shown on the outside. Sometimes and more often than not for females I think it is more or less shown to be how hyperactive and fast your brain processes and does things. Like for me as an example one hyper thing I do is I talk super super fast and I fidget in specific ways that are ADHD related compared to my autism related ones and I also talk super super fast and always have fast thoughts in my head. I've been learning a lot more about ADHD than I thought I knew from a YouTube channel about ADHD that I follow sadly I can't remember the name of it but you know

Well I don't take Wellbutrin for my ADHD but I found out it is a pill that helps with it yet I never knew for years and I have almost been on it for six years

I was once on a camping trip and I was given the wrong medication. We learned that it was the same medication, but the other person had a higher dosage. I had 15mg, and he had 45mg

That was a fun morning before they called the parents and realized it was the same meds, although that I was just folded up in the tent

Wow that is nuts. I was hospitalized recently for my ability causing me to much energy not enough energy to feel anxious and like I can concentrate and more so I got a calming med from the nurse and was told stop taking it it clashes with Wellbutrin

The problem I'm getting is that there is a shortage for concerta XL that I take as i can only get half of my dose and the doctors have said they dont know when ill get my proper dose.

I have be on medication for as long as I can remember and I'm now 20. I believe I been on meds since I was 3 or 4.

I've been on medication since I was 5 and I found out then I'm allergic to all ADD meds and all ADHD meds. I also can't drive because I may know everything I'm doing since I've been taught by a special needs driving instructor but without medication I can only do one thing at a time and that's dangerous since driving is where you have to do multiple things at a time which I can't do without getting distracted and confused
