i’ve not been (i want to haha) but i know they usually do lots of tests like making u walk and lie down and feeling ur spine/measuring lengths of your legs to see what’s in line and what isn’t
and then they’ll probably just adjust whichever bit of your back you need / your neck
sometimes they do massage type things too to help to muscles
okay ! thank u, i hope u can get an appointement someday tho and hope it will help u :]
people are telling me its a bad idea to go see a chiropractor with hypermobility 💀💀 oopsies
love my chiropractor! been going since i was small and honesty it helps so much. it can be scary putting trust in a perso to literally move your bones so maybe practice some grounding before and during the appointment. if your really out of alignment they’ll prob have you come in every week or so to get things straightened out.
i’m also hypermobile and he litterally fixes my subluxations so 🤷♀️
thanks for input !!
np! 💕
I went to the chiropractor for the first time a few weeks ago and now i can actually move! i was really sore the day of and after but otherwise good! It turns out I should've seen someone about my back pain ages ago because i completely messed up my neck, shoulders, back, and ribs. But going gave me better mobility and better breath control (swimming)
I've started going to a chiropractor once a week all that they do for me (I have shoulder blade problems evidently) is make sure my legs are level, adjust anything that I say is giving me pain, pop my neck which is kind of scary but just completely relax your shoulders and neck and you do fine, and because I have shoulder problems they always pop my upper back since that's where my should blades are
other than then that they'll ask questions but you don't have to talk too much which I'm really glad about
yeah its true that there wasnt too much talking :] except at the beginning but thats logical cause he had to get to know me
yea
when I was getting questioned at first for what I needed to get adjusted and what not I was so anxious about it cause of the fact that to get adjusted someone has to touch your body and what not (I'm not used to physical touch in a general way)
yes also fair. but when he did his work he didnt use that super uncomfy light touch, he went 100% so that helped. didnt make me flinch any less each time he touched me tho 💀 also it was super tingly LOL
yea I would try to anticipate when the chiropracter was about to touch me but the tingly thing is definetley a thing thast happens
i was uncontrollably laughing cause im v tingles sensitive LMAO 😭
lol I would just stop breathing for a second
he was reminding me to breathe every 5 seconds cause he needed me to breathe to do his work 💀
