Overcooked 2
Steam
When I have invited a friend through Steam, then they joined and I have started the game then I went to find other levels but they get kicked out everytimes I do. Same as when they was a host, I get kicked out too. I think it is a bug but it is tiring and annoying.
Multiplayer, online
We both use keyboard.
We have tried to restart overcooked 2, steam, and our PC. Still not working.

Hello, thank you for getting back to us. Can you please try is to run the game and Steam client as an administrator, to do this please follow the steps below:

  1. Launch Steam
  2. From the Library section, right-click on Overcooked! 2 and select Properties from the menu.
  3. Select the Local files tab and click the Browse local files… button.
    4. Right-click on the Overcooked2.exe file
  4. Choose Properties
  5. Navigate to the Compatibility tab
  6. Check the box for Run this program as an administrator
  7. Attempt the run the game

If that doesn't help then please do the same for your Steam client:

  1. Go to your Program Files (x86)\Steam folder
  2. Right-click Steam.exe select properties
  3. Select the compatibility tab and click run as admin
  4. Launch Steam and Overcooked! 2 and try to invite your friend.

If none of the steps work for you then please reinstall your Steam client.

Can you please ensure your NAT (Network Address Translation) is set to Open or Moderate? You will need to contact your ISP or router manufacturer for information on how to perform these steps.
If you are still experiencing connection issues after performing the steps in the links above and opening your NAT. Can you please tell us the following information?

  • What country are you currently living in?
  • Steam Download Region (Steam Settings, Downloads)
  • What is your internet speed? https://www.speedtest.net/
  • Are you using a VPN?
  • What is your NAT set to?

Thank you very much. The issue just disappeared itself. But, the slow connection problem is still bothering us, it's really laggy and sometimes my player just goes drifting.

However, the issue isn't on me, it is on another player because I've been playing with other users, there aren't any issues with connections or glitches.

Hello, thank you for getting back to us. We are glad the problem seems to have disappeared, we noticed you put no idea about NAT type. You can get to your ISP to give you this information. With the other problem you are reporting, could you send us a video of this?

Okay and now we are randomly getting kicked out

That's correct ^ I get kicked out everytime when game ends.
