Sorry in advance if I don't explain it well.
I followed a guide ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3153336554 ) and everything worked until I started the game in the reloaded. It launched and after a little while after a black screen it crashes and closes immediately. I am on steam deck if it also helps

Seems to be a recent error, also getting this. Do you have any other reloaded-ii games? If so is it just this one or are any of your other ones having issues?

I have persona 5 royal and Persona 4 Golden both works

but the method i usem for them were asi loader, persona 4 was giving me trouble at first using that method but it worked eventually

persona 3 just might not be possible rn, i tried every method possible and am currently still trying

ima try a couple more things and retries, if nothing ima just assume u cant mod this game on steam deck and launch it through steam with mods

i got it to work omg

STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH=/home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2161700/ %command% --launch "Z:\home\deck.local\share\Steam\steamapps\common\P3R\P3R\Binaries\Win64\P3R.exe" i put this in the launch option

i added reloaded ii to steam

set compatability to proton 10.0-4

I already have that in mine sadly as that’s what’s listed in the guide on Gamebanana for instructions. Maybe I’ll try a different version of proton.

set the actual persona game to proton 8 too

i just retraced my steps so i put proton 8.0-5 for the actual persona game

then i put proton 10 for the reloaded non steam game

#

then suddenly it started working

damn im so happy rn i got all the persona games modded

like thats also the thing i did that step before too and it never worked

until i just put different protons

its the protons causing the the steam api pop up im sure

i also have asi loader enabled

#

and i renamed the winmm.dll to version.dll in the p3r folder

Okay so I followed your steps and it didnt solve anything for me initially, but then I randomly decided to launch through reloaded directly (not steam) and it launched with mods

Usually launching outside of steam would just insta crash so idk why it worked this time, i had tried it before too so idk what changed but if anyone has this issue try to launch from the reloaded menu directly

Happening to me too very strange, after getting this error message my unmodded p3r will also stop working unless I verify the local files. Hoping a reliable work around is found soon imma keep smacking my head against this wall and mess around with it more lol

Did you try this with launching through Steam?

It fixed my installation, can't launch through Reloaded-II directly but it does allow it to work!
