Hello!!! After spending a couple of days trying to troubleshoot I can really use some help. To preface, I am so entirely new at this, I’ve just been experimenting and I got it to work before but now it doesn’t :( please, I just ask for some patience!! I would love to learn!

So I love the Short Hair Kasumi modand for my personal use, i’d been switching outfits by using Blender (essentially like, putting Short Hair Kasumi’s head on like, say Winter Yukari’s outfit for example) and originally all I had to do was convert the file to a .GMD and replace them in my mod folder. This does not work anymore, weirdly enough, as every time I convert now it gives me a warning that the file type would go unstable. LO AND BEHOLD! It crashes every time I load into save because of this.

I have

uninstalled and resintalled Persona 5 Royal
uninstalled and reinstalled Blender
uninstalled and reinstalled every add on
tried exporting, and exporting works and yet for some reason I get MULTIPLE errors and when it does work girl is missing her hair 😞

I would love to learn how to be better at this, but also am super eager to get this to work as I had already 🥹 thank you so much in advance, if you need more info I would be more than happy to share

It's also apparently not a blend file. Does the steam version of blender do stuff differently? I never used that.

basically anytime you save a blend file, it takes your previous save and makes that the blend1

I dunno either, I was able to open them from my end but I guess it's cause I have the steam version

I'm just so confused because I've done this all before and then I got sidetracked with other games, so I wanna get back into the game and yet

this was never this difficult, it used to be only a matter of replacing the models in the Short Hair Kasumi folder

I've found that 4.0 works the best for me. But I have seen other people say that 4.2 and above work. But don't quote me on that.

Well first thing is that you have two armatures, which doesn't really work with the exporter. So you'll have to remove one of them and then re parent the meshes to the other armature.

you can still reparent stuff even with the 2nd armature still existing

so I try to restart on 4.0 because for some reason very unfortunately 4.0 doesn't open up any of my blends and I get that

Hiii I hope I’m not a big bother but I feel like I figured out everything but like two things !! My models turn out fine save for two and it’s because they have a headpiece!

One model has sunglasses on her head from another model I used but like, her glasses won’t stay on her head when she runs around (the glasses stay on during animations in gfdstudio but not in game). I was looking up videos and trying to replicate it but I dunno what I missed!

and also like, the sunglasses lose its color (texture I guess) in game but not in gfdstudio

If I’m being silly feel free not to answer hehe I’ve just been looking all over this discord all day
