although actually in my experience i think changing encoding tends to be finicky for me also, i think just hitting continue is usually enough for it to decomp fine but i dont really compile much through gui since i usually use bf/bmd emulator for mods
How does it works those emulators? I mean I'm compiling and decompiling since the mod itself seems to work like that. I already checked to have the correct format decoding in notepad++
the short of it is you dont have to compile yourself, instead bf or bmd emulator will compile files on game boot. its used to improve compatibility between mods but the convenience of being able to skip a step is nice too
unfortunately rose & violet does not use emulation so you wont be able to either

literally i just ignored the encoding popup and then dragged the .flow onto the compile box
You did it in the GUI? my version compiled had an lower size than yours

as in. the commandline program atlus script compiler

I downloaded toolscript from tge github and replaced the files in the GUI folder for try
the other thing i can think of is moving the program out of onedrive and running with administrator privileges
oh well if you just updated manually then that probably also works

It's possible to uncompile TBL files?
either p5r name tbl editor or haru editor
for the record though if you want to edit specifically spanish name tbl, you need to put an unedited english copy in p5ressentials and then an edited spanish version in FEmulator/L10N/es

p5r name tbl editor is prob better for your purposes since i assume youre only editing name.tbl whereas for haru editor you dont get a tab specifically for name.tbl and instead would change names in the process of editing another (language agnostic) tbl

the vanilla english file is just for routing, so localization framework can find the spanish one with your actual edits
ill just chuck it at you so you dont have to change your language to english just to extract it
